Hi peeps, please I've been having this issue with my browsers(Operamini and Firefox) a long while. Whenever I'm browsing, new tabs will be automatically opened. I mean, new tabs to new sites entirely... like Nairabet et al... it may even open another New window. I've blocked the pop-ups and everything that may be causing that, still... they never stop appearing. What's the solution please? Thanks.

Well, as an undergraduate… I would like to share some of my practical lessons here with us.
The first of all is to have passion/zeal for the course you are studying, anything aside that has started contributing to the failure of the student. Believe you me, if you have passion for what you do, you will try as much as possible to put in your very best which will lead to academic excellence.
Another important thing is for a student to know the kind of friends he/she associates him/herself with. That goes a long way in attaining your goal. I for example, in my first year in the University, God really helped me to associate myself with focused and determined students like myself. However, I wouldn’t say it was a bit late before we knew one another (probably in second semester). We assigned some of the days in the week for group discussion in which every individual has been given a particular course to be handling (tentatively though, cause we rotate it). For me, I don’t attend tutorials… it’s important to know yourself than to be following crowd. Three of us, when we finished our second semester exams (100L), went to our admission officer to check our first semester results because it hasn’t been pasted then. Seeing our first semester results… two (mine included) of which was very close to First Class, calls for challenging ourselves. Though, we were able to attain such fit due to God factor and seriousness… Heaven, they say, helps those who helps themselves. We determined that, come next session(200L), 5 dot(i.e 5.0 GPA) is the smallest of what God can do for us, and we’ve been planning ahead of time now, even against resumption. Not to bore us with this epistle, I would like to leave us with this:
Determined focus is what makes a man who makes things happens different from man who watches things happen – Bill Newman.

Good one dude...apply for 2015 commonwealth shared scholarship asap...u can do NYSC later.

#BTWN.....Team U.I......7.0 cgpa scale is tougher than the 5.0 scale........
Do your findings on the two (7.0 and 5.0 Grade point scale) and you'll know the difference. You can't compare 7.0 to 5.0 where they use AB, A+ and the rest to the one they use only A, B ... C etc. The diff is clear....

Health › Five Things You Must Not Do Before You Sleep by factorial1(op): 7:56am On Nov 22, 2014
Saw this on Facebook and I feel like sharing it here... Enjoy

1- DON'T SLEEP WITH WATCH

Watch can emit a certain level of radioactivity, Though small, but if you wear your watch to bed for a longtime, it might have adverse effects on your health.

2- DON'T SLEEP WITH BRA

Scientist in America have discovered those who wear bras for more than 12 hours have high risk of getting breast cancer, so go to bed without it.

3- DON'T SLEEP WITH PHONE,

putting the phone beside your bed or any where near you is not encouraged. Though some of us will use phone as alarm but put the phone as far as possible.Scientist have proved that electrical items including mobile phones and television sets emiting magnetic waves when used. Therefore ifyouneed to put your mobile phone with you switch off first.

4- DON'T SLEEP WITH MAKE-UP.

People who sleep with make-up might have skin problems in the long run sleeping with make-up will cause the skin to have difficulty in breathing andproblems in perspring, you will also need a much longer time to go into deep sleep. Lastly & most important

5- DON'T SLEEP WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S WIVESOR HUSBANDS

Scientists are of the opinion that one may never wake up again; and if this happens DISGRACE AWAITS, as no one will like to be picked up dead, by loved ones from such a place to the‪#‎Morgue‬!............

Health › Urinating During or After Bath - The Cause! by factorial1(op):
This question has been one of those questions that arise through my personal observation as a young scientist. Indeed, it happens to all human being regardless of the gender. Having made my research on “cause(s) of urinating during/after bath”, I am yet to get a justifiable answer to it. This, which most likely occurs regularly and can at times, be a reflex action that one might not be able to restrict. I may say, according to what I think may/might/should be the cause of feeling the urge to urinate when taking bath or immediately after taking bath, is due to the relaxation that the body feels during that time which makes the yellowish liquid (urine) containing waste product to be excreted by the kidneys and thereafter passes through the urethra.
Now, I would like Nairalanders to share their own view on this matter… and most especially, what you think might be the cause(s) of feeling the urge to urinate during/after bath… also the aftermath effect of not feeling the urge.

No. 1, sure...

No. 2, sometimes though... depending on the lecture time table

No. 3, Hell no... I would rather leave the assignment undone provided there' isn't any alternative.

No. 4, hmmm... that only happens whenever I'm broke... Lol

No. 5. I don't do that cause whenever it comes to writing exams... it's always me and my booklet (though, always being altruistic before the exam, but during the exam... I'm always being egoistic)... that's not pride anyway... it's just part of my principle...

No. 6, Lol, OP got me there... its seldom though it happens especially if I already know such topic/course and I found the lecture quite boring...

No. 7, Yeah... not because of the OP's thought though.... just that whenever I sits in the front especially during a general course lecture... where peeps go plenty... hmm, sitting in the front always tempt me to ask questions(advanced ones though) related to the particular course at that time... in which I've already read and digested before then. Lowkey tinx... grin

No, 8. No, No, No, No and No... I don't do that grin .

No, 9. Hmmm.... not really... besides I don't have a crush anyway.

and lastly...

No. 10, hehehehee.... damn true. grin
