Hello house.
Recently, I'm finding it difficult to open my music and images on my windows 10.
I keep getting the response "The specified service does not exist as an installed service"
Please, help proffer solution to this.
NB: I did system restore some weeks back and didn't notice this immediately. |

I'm still trying to work on recovering the files. Can't afford to lose the important files, really. I can't just give up now, it's too late for that. Lol Razak5: Yeah. A restore (if you have a restore point) will actually wipe infected files.
So, in either case, you're loosing files.
So if clean installation (formatting) is a last resort,... !way to go!

That was the mistake I made I was just accepting the request as it popped up on my screen in a bid to avoid disturbance thinking it was the software that I wanted to download. This is quite bad. Thanks though. computerboy: Wow people still download software's you don't know online? As far as i know ransomewares, there's nothing you can do except paying the creator (in bitcoin of course) or forgetting your files... |
Computers › Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by factorial1(m): 11:05am On Nov 17, 2018 |
Hmm, I tried SpyHunter already but wouldn't even do normal cleaning unless one pays for the upgraded version. I did system reset too... I couldn't do system restore to a desired date since I never created restore point prior to that time. Maybe I will just format the system and forget my files then. Thanks, bro. Razak5: Hmm... Let's talk about random ware.
CSO online puts it this way;
Ransomware is a form of malicious software (or malware) that, once it's taken over your computer, threatens you with harm, usually by denying you access to your data. The attacker demands a ransom from the victim, promising — not always truthfully — to restore access to the data upon payment.
Users are shown instructions for how to pay a fee to get the decryption key. The costs can range from a few hundred dollars to thousands, payable to cybercriminals in Bitcoin.
If that is the nature of the malware on your system, then your best bet is to run a good antivirus program first. After which you salvage as much important files as possible. Then perform a system restore.
*Cheers* |

Hello bosses,
A lil brother of mine just got his HP laptop and had been changing his password until Monday when he couldn't sign in again due to incorrect password. He can't remember the last password he used. We tried solving this using the windows help... But, he used a wrong number in registering, so there's no way we could receive the PIN. The PC came with Windows 10 Pro.
Kindly suggest the possible solution to this.
Best regards |

Hello gurus...
I used cmd sfc scannow to scan my PC owing to it slow response and frequent freezing. After I did this, I lost access to most of the system's functionality viz. Audio, LAN, Microsoft, and lot more.
I tried installing driver... but all effort to no avail. I can't, in addition, change some settings on the system. I can't also logon as an administrator.
Kindly help proffer solution to this, techies.
Thanks for your anticipated response.
