franciskaine: maybe your afro is too much, try reducing it. I wear afro too and people often call me Prof and Rev based on my look in afro and my lenses. Afro represents maturity any day. I do that often. In fact, people call me all sorts like Prof, Bishop (maybe due to my little knowledge of the Scriptures), Pastor etc. It doesn't look rough; it looks nice always. The main issue here is that my mum is the no-fashion type. She doesn't use earrings, make up, braids and all that. She's always look natural herself. So, she's against it and also believes anybody that keeps hair isn't responsible. That's the main issue, brother. The hairstyle below is too much in her sight and I can say it was the fullest afro I've kept ever. I cut it just of recent. It pained me ehn.

Not only do my mum hate abnormal haircut, but also 'afro'. I see nothing wrong in afro as long as you trim and treat it regularly.
I don't come home at times because of that... I look good more on afro (normal afro), but she doesn't seem to understand. She always think keeping hair is tantamount to irresponsibility and hooliganism.
Besides, I dislike abnormal haircut too... the likes of those posted by the OP. |

Christianity Etc › Re: All Atheists, Fall In by factorial1(m): 9:42am On Nov 15, 2016 |
LightandDarkness: Actually everyone is born an atheist. You don't come into this world knowing Christianity and Islam and whatever else like you don't know your own mothers name. Yes, I believe that. Here's my point... After been given birth to and one begins to understand life... One can now choose either to be an atheist or a theist. Its not just normal to accept the fact that God doesn't exist based on logical and intuitive reasoning without any supreme being behind the existence. Situations and challenges (sickness, poverty, oppression and what have you) most of the times makes someone an atheist. Maybe it should be better put this way.... Nobody is born an atheist or a theist. You choose your path based on personal conviction. |
Christianity Etc › Re: All Atheists, Fall In by factorial1(m): 9:11am On Nov 15, 2016 |
I've discovered that no one is born an atheist, situations and life challenges changes their mentality. Hence, they tend to give flimsy and baseless assertions for their unbelief. I believe that was Frederich Nietzsche's case. |
