ogugua88: He was a moderate republican as governor, meaning he wasn't only for republican ideas. Some of what he did was more in the center or center left. He made health care statewide in Massachusetts. That's why other candidates like Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich were calling him a liberal and saying that he was no different than President Obama, especially since President Obama got quite a few of his health care ideas from Romney. Romney's been running away from his own moderate record so that more republicans would like him. It's not working as well as he planned. That is not quite accurate. Universal Health care has been in existence in Europe for quite a while. Ted Kennedy has always championed universal coverage in the US, since the 1970s. The problem for the democrats was always how to cut cost and make it affordable, and obviously selling it to the cost conscious republican was a problem as well. The first comprehensive policy was written by Ted Kennedy I think, and maybe modified a little by Hillary. Of course it never passed in the congress. It was however easier for Romney to pass it in liberal MA ( 90% liberal, 10% conservative). SO to correct your erroneous notion, UHC has always been a liberal idea. Obama did not get his ideas from Romney. Romney just happened to have passed what most liberals thought was good policy. |
ogugua88: Fagamite, our numbers are quite similar.I think the reason I didnt have higher numbers WRT Obama is the death penalty issue. Obama as a christian is probably against it and I am for it. That said, I dont think Romney is that far to the right. I dont think he is that much different from Obama, ideologically. He supported Roe V. Wade. He was pro-choice before he became pro-life. Supported individual mandate for the people of MA. He is for family leave. He was for big government in MA. And in his early days, he used to vote democratic. His problem started with how he got into politics. He wanted to be a Senator and there was no way he was gonna beat Ted Kennedy for the ticket in the MA democratic party so he did what was sensible, change party affiliation so he could contest against Ted, as no one in the MA republican party was stepping up to the plate, for obvious reasons. I am sure that is how his problems started and once he got himself cornered there was no going back, that is why real conservatives do not trust him. And the reason he is most likely to lose in November. I am voting just to make sure he loses . |
ogugua88: 95% Jill Stein of the Green Party. What do you mean by that? |
Eko Ile: It's true because Jesus is a revered and respected figure in Islam. Jesus is Isa in Islam. Even Yoruba Muslims call him Anobi IsaTinubu is also a revered figure in Islam. Yoruba muslims call him Anobi Emperor Swiss Bank account. ISnt that lovely? |

Katsumoto has been on this page all day long. Egbon Adete: Did you spoil your boss' wara or something? |
naturalwaves: Shatap Mr man.It takes more than a ding dong ,2 epons, broad chest and male hormones 2 be a man.U are nothing but a weakling and a servant.Wen real men are talking,U shuld just stfk and get off. When you learn to put space after your commas, I will take you seriously. Your writing is so unrefined and your syntax so atrocious, I cant even make sense of your posts. |
Gbawe: Who asked you for all this information? Insecure twit? Don't you know the number one rule? Real men don't brag !!! Oh, I forgot you are a puzzyGbawe: is that you or your wife? Because I really cant tell who I am facing. Like I said, no cat fights here ![]() Face Desola. I wont give you an excuse to run away from Desola without proper apology. |
Desola: Well, now you know. And you also know that a real woman can whoop your behind merciless.Yes babe, there is a new Sheriffat, Desola, in town. The old Sherifat, Gbawe, it turns out, is a big time fraud. |
naturalwaves: U know ur own case is a difft one entirely.By ur own natural configuration,U are an Asz licker and a servant. Or were U not d one that said U prefer 2 go and be a slave in America than to be a King here in Nigeria on dat D'banjs thread?Yeske, that was me ke. Okunrin lo n ke si. Dudu_Negro: The party chairman is the administrative head of the party. The sitting president is the ceremonial head of the party. The person in the party who popularly has the most followership is the voice of the party.Dude Obama is half-white. It is the WHite part that got him elected! Dude, Boehner is in control of Washington, not Obama. |
Gbawe: Stop speaking for Katsumoto. Unlike you, who is a shameless groupie of those you believe to be bright, I don't fear anyone here. Why don't you let Katsumoto respond instead of this shameless effort to bait a response from him in your transparently cheap, weasel-like and conniving attempt to stoke a cyber battle a shameless groupie like you is salivating over? let anybody bring it on. I respect many posters here but I don't do "fear". Is Katsumoto now your cyber "Alagbara"?. Mumu.Unfortunately for you, I am a man, with a real ding-dong and two epons. I also have a broad chest if you care to know. And unlike you, I do not suffer from gynecomastia. All the sex hormones I have is of the testosterone type, No ESTROGEN HERE like you. which means, I dont do cat fights. I face real men, in real life. I let my glock talk for me, not my open palms like a b1tch a/z/z nig/ger that you are. I am a man's man. The kind of man you wish you were. I am the kind of man you will never be. Face front and face Desola squarely. She is decimating you. You may probably have to bring your wife and girls to double team on Desola because you aint doing a good job here. Here is my advice to you: Apologize to Desola and call it a day. Because if you have to go home to your wife, after all the beatings you've got from Desola, I dont know what will happen tonight. That said, if you ever want to face me like a real man, lets meet somewhere in midtown. You and your crew vs me alone. Lets do it the old fashion way. The way real men do it. |
Gbawe: My brother, it is all about character-damaging "cyber fantasizing" for some. I hear it is the latest craze. Luckily real mean, with Pretty wives and girlfriends, don't have to engage in the debased practice to the extent their core decency and belief in equity and fair play is compromised.I know, you know, we both know, that that description doesnt include you or does it? Perhaps, your wife is pretty and macho or macho and ugly . . . we may never know. What we do know is that your wife is more macho than you and maybe thats why you spend most of your time on NL. It is your escape from the daily beatings you get from Mrs Gbawe. O ma seo ![]() |
Another person on the prowl! danjohn: Desola at the end of the day, in politics, you have to choose between the lesser of two evils. Do Tinubu and ACN have short commings? Yes they do. But they have proven themselves to be better than PDP. If we keep focusing on ACN's shortcommings, we risk undermining the party and giving PDP an opening to return back to power to continue the evil that ACN rescued us from. I am sure that citizens of Edo and Oyo states would hate to return to the days of Lucky Igbinedion and Alao Akala. Tinubu was a governor that increased Lagos state's IGR by 3000% and made the state less reliant on the federal government.Didnt he? Didnt he create all those companies in Lagos? He was the one who gave us Fashola and Oshiomhole. In addition, he has shown political saviness by trying to make ACN a national party through mergers with CPC, ANPP, etc. Tinubu is not perfect and, like most people, I am suspicious of his moral compass. However, he is still the most progressive party leader in the country. I will pick Tinubu over Anthony Anenih, Andy Uba, Emeka Orfo, or Adedibu anyday.DId he not? He carried them in his womb for 9 months and delivered them to us just at the right time, not to talk of how he nurtured them through their formative years |
Gbawe: My brother, don't mind these puzzies. They are doing nothing but exposing that the nobility and "omoluabi" essence of our fathers exist in only a few men these days. All I see is a congregation of sad and frustrated men quick to make a fool of themselves with a show of hideous bias, cowardice and lack of enduring principles.Calling other people puzzie? Coming from someone subliminally insulting Katsumoto, yet has no liver to mention Katsumoto is his post. Resident hypocrite indeed! |
Dudu_Negro: In US when the democrats need a counter response to republican offensive they know they can always count on Clinton to deliver. His past has controversies yet he is loved and cherished. Obama is the party leader but Clinton has a role that is indispensable and he is an asset, even to the party leader.Obama is the party leader ehn? A black man is the party leader of a major US party? Interesting? Even Obama will tell you, he a mere party follower. The Party leader BTW is Debbi Wasserman Shultz. Clinton is loved? Loved by the democrats right? Because nothing calls the republicans to action like the name Clinton. He is terribly hated by the right. The rest of your epistle isnt that interesting, sorry! |
Gbawe: @Shymexx,SO Shymmex is now a prominent Yoruba? ![]() The guy who just admitted he is British is now a prominent Yoruba? ![]() Very typical of ACN politics, politics of deceit and false inclusion. Politics of false integration policy. |
Desola: Lesson 101 from page 1, the spineless effeminate sissy!Eran iya ni Gbawe . . . why do you think he is into politics? He is probably into BD/SM, because with how he was b1tch slapped by you and keeps coming back for more, if he wast then he must have developed the thick skin from home. When you have a married man like Gbawe spending so much time on NL like he does, he either has no home to go to or too scared of his wife to go home. maybe his wife is a bully . . . we will never know. Because people like Gbawe dont normally admit to sensitive issues like that. |
shymexx: The guy has an agenda, he wants to be the new Awo(but with the title of the President of Nigeria on his cap) - and I'm sure he'll do the right thing soon...He didnt do shyt when he was Governor, it is when he becomes president he is gonna change and do something? SMH. All these diasporans! It is time Seun created a new section for una where you can go back and forth 'intellectually' over the Nigeria of your imagination. Anyway, the truth of the matter is Tinubu will never be president. he knows that much! |
PointB: You actually pray that ACN wins Ondo, with Tinubu at the helms of affairs? Guy, na wa oo. And here I am thinking that you actually think! Be careful what you wish.I dont think Shymmex knows what he is talking about. He is just another over sabi Londoner/Diasporan. Who calls their parents intellectuals? |
Desola: You have forgotten that you require a spine to actually stand to hold a ten foot pole to me. There are men and there are men! You, my dear are a mere prototype, not the finished original version. You are too effeminate to be a full blooded man.You mean Gbawe is a full chromosome short of a full genome or just a full gene short of a real man? |
shymexx: The oil isn't owned by the government, multinationals own most of the oil... We don't even have refineries; which means we sell our own quarter of the oil to multinationals, and buy it back from them in its refined form...Again wrong: The vast majority of tertiary institutions is owned by the govt. The vast majority of secondary schools in Nigeria is owned by govt. Even the federal govt has FGC, FGGC, and Unity schools The vast majority of primary schools is owned by state govts. The govt is still very much in charge. That said, it is time they hand off schools to the private sector. Also, I think oil is still owned by the govt to a great extent. Anyway, you are talking like Katsumoto and Ekiti Bear. Do you live in London? And BTW, we do have refineries, they are not just working at the needed capacity. |
alj harem: am glad desola has opened her eyesToo late though. I wish there were more people as thoughtful as moi. Just say it: I am better than a psychic! |
Katsumoto:On behalf of Naijababe: This is below the below the below the below the belt. In fact, this is inside the epon. ![]() ###posting-first-thinking-later |
shymexx: From what I know, Nigeria practices a weird form of extreme capitalism, where everything is paid for by the citizenry... Capitalism doesn't require transportation and other services to thrive - it means(at least in layman's term) the control of a country's resources by a few elites, at the expense of the majority... The government owns absolutely nothing in Nigeria right now, almost everything is owned by private individuals, or multinationals - that was the point I was trying drive in...Not true. Oil, Security, Power etc are still under govt's control. There is capitalism, but not as extreme as you make it. |
Gbawe: Olodo. No appreciation of wit. I'll give you another hint. "airhead" are always told not to think too much to prevent a headache. I only offer you the same 'wisdom' here. Don't attempt complex thoughts (perhaps something like 2 + 2 in your case) too much and your headache will subside. You call that wit? It is hard to believe how incredibly dimwitted you are. Witless as a stone that the other stones make fun of. So witless that you have traveled far beyond dimwittedness as we know it and into a new dimension of witlessness. |
Katsumoto, this is where you thank naijababe and do your usual online 'sina.' ![]() She is waiting; dont leave a woman hanging. A scorned woman . . . |
Of course! |
