Hi guys,
Is there someone who can put me up in Kuopio or Helsinki for a few days? Unfortunately I got accommodation after I'd booked my flight (29th August ) and my tenancy agreement starts on the 1st of Sept.
Thanks.

My sponsor had 180k left in her salary account. I put in 1.1 million naira of my own personal funds and my sponsor (sister) put in 500k which she got from her cooperative savings of about 2 million naira.
SansmaOlamide:
Congratulations dear...I tap into ur blessings too
Pls...how much was left as balance in your sponsor's account after printing the person's statement of account?

I finished from LUTH as well. As you may have read up, tuition fees will be charged from next year so you may need to contact the school to find out how much will be charged. I would suggest you contact Ms. Annika Manniko. She's the program coordinator. She was very helpful to me before I applied so she'll be willing to help. If you need further clarifications you can email me via Nairaland. I'll get back to you.
nadigo:

Hi Annie. No movement yet. I think migri staff are in hibernation (even though it's summer). I'm going to Kuopio.
anniekoko:
Babes what's up? Any progress with your application? Where in Finland are you headed? Looking for someone headed towards Tampere to relate with grin

My interview is on the 4th of July. I'm considering sending in my documents tomorrow to pre-empt the policy which will be implemented on the 20th of June. The alternative is to start hustling for extra money.

Important question. How does the announcement by CBN today affect the funds needed for applying for RP? It seems to me that they have inadvertently devalued the naira.

Congrats SCHOOLDROPOUT. Glad it was all sorted in the end.

Hakeembee has hit the nail on the head. Don't take this p but this line of thought is naive. Other means of support include shares, landed properties, investments, etc. Don't bring the husband into it. I've been granted a couple of visas so I know what is involved.
SCHOOLDROPOUT:
From her hubby? They're both employed. They requested for sponsor's other means of support. Anything wrong in hubby supporting his wifey? Abi wetin u feel?
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by FaithVoke: 12:29am On Jun 11, 2016
I don't have any experience with the Finnish embassy but I do with the British High Commission having gotten 3 visas from them in the past. My advice is that you shouldn't include your sponsor's spouse since you are not getting any funds directly from him. To even suggest getting an Internet generated SOA is looking for trouble. Just get whatever supporting docs you need directly from your sponsor.
SCHOOLDROPOUT:
Abehg bosses, una feel say e go make sense to include my sponsor's spouse Statement for my supplementary docs even as i no been use am earlier and e no make any transfer to me. but i wan use am as my sponsor's other means of support. He wants to provide his SOA to me and any other stuff i might need. Won't that be unnecessary? Just dey reason say make i use only him office ID and explain for my letter.
+ shey to use internet generated SOA go make sense cos na weekend already and i wan do all tomorrow ?

Hello. From your profile I can see you are a dentist. What program were you admitted to in Finland?
talk2dekky:
Please what documents does one need to take to the embassy? Is there a need to legalize, authenticate and all that other embassies do?
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by FaithVoke: 8:43am On Jan 14, 2016
Good morning guys. I would like to know if anyone has gotten confirmation via email from UAF of receiving their documents. If yes, how long did it take from the time your documents got there? I'm trying to gauge their processing time.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FaithVoke: 10:31am On Jan 01, 2016
You can stay up to 6 months on a visiting visa regardless of length of validity. You don't need to inform the UKBA. Try not to give them too many explanations at the airport though especially if it's your first time. Just stick with the 2 weeks you intended.
EggPlant:
If I stated in my General Visitor's visa application that I'd be staying in the U.K for 2 weeks & the 6 month visa was granted, what do I do after getting to the U.K and for some unforseen reasons, I need to extend my stay by another 2 weeks (Maybe because of impromptu rescheduling of the short course I went for). Do I have to inform the UKBA office about a change in my plans, or is it allowed since its still withing my visa validity period of 6 months?

This is urgent please, I need a quick response from from the Gurus here.

Hi,
I assure you that I know the difference between dental public health and MPH and having done an elective placement at Guy's Hospital in London I'm well aware of the ORE. I have my reasons for applying for a public health masters.
All I wanted to clarify was the section in the application form for providing a link to the grading system in my school which the Unilag website doesn't have and which as you probably know is not the regular grade point average system used in most programs.
EggPlant:
I'm applying, but I believe MPH is different from dental public health. I hope this masters program will be relevant to your future career. You have the perfect IELTS score to write the ORE (Overseas Registration Examination), the U.K dental qualifying exam. Big bucks awaits you in the U.K. What do you want to know about MPH @ UEF?
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by FaithVoke: 3:57pm On Dec 28, 2015
Hi guys. Anyone here applying to University of Eastern Finland's Public Health program? I need some clarification.
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by FaithVoke: 10:17pm On Oct 13, 2015
Thank you so much boss. I really appreciate the advice.
You guys are doing great stuff here.
olabode89:
What's up man... Nice IELTS score... For the letter of purpose, you might want to go through the program's webpage and also look out for pointers relating to the kind of applicants that the department is seeking. I did something similar when I was preparing my application in January 2015.

To maximize your addmision prospects you should apply to more than one university.
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by FaithVoke: 11:51am On Oct 12, 2015
Hi guys,
I'm a dentist hoping to apply to University of Eastern Finland for a Masters in Public Health in the next admission cycle. I've written my IELTS and got an 8.0 overall.
I'd like to get any pointers regarding writing a statement of purpose/intent as I feel it is a crucial part of the admission process.
Any other pointers from the house regarding how to maximise my admission prospects will be highly appreciated.
Cheers.
