johnsonolumide: Hello . I know the required fee for proof of funds is 7000 and in the requirements it says we are to submit bank statement for a month. So I wanted to know if 7000 euros has to be in the account for the 6months or for how long am I supposed to show a balance of 7000 euros Are you self funding or you have a sponsor? |

DammyDurst: Ewo ni speak to your agent?
If he could, would he be here. If you have nothing to say, just scroll past and ignore... Almost every school provide an agent for their prospective student. It's easier for your agent to guide you on visa application. |

Stephanie22: Hello house, is Irish visa application open for September intakes? Are they closed for now because of the coronavirus? Can I start my visa application? VFS office is still closed, I submitted mine for April intake, they postponed it because of the pandemic. |

Chiggsglover: I will say its an unchartered territory, but I'm doing fine. It has lots of real life problems and solutions that we must solve with software's. We even did normal mean, median and mode with Rstudio and with a single phrase and RUN. it brought the graph. It sounds nice! |

ICaSNg: I doubt decisions are biased though. Probably just due to lock-down . No one is going anywhere for now. Tourist and student visa is only valid for 3 months mostly and no one knows when all this will end .
so fingers crossed that lock-down ends soon. This is true, the rate of approved Visa is increasing now. |

Chiggsglover: €12.45 actually. I dont know how they deduct their taxes, they might even take €20 sometimes. They reasoned that taking tax from me when I worked a day, €99, was pointless. You can see how they reduce inequality. yes, it's a progressive tax system. |
Travel › Re: Adventure In Ireland by faithzy(m): 10:24pm On Apr 25, 2020 |
Chiggsglover: Theres a threshold before you get taxed. When I work one day a week, zero tax was deducted. When I worked two days, €30 was deducted. The tax is quite high but divide the income into 10parts, thats the income of doing the same job, more stress in Nigeria.
The tax is used to take care of the elderly, poor, disabled and others via income support. You can read the news, the countries that are more vibrant than Ireland are in worse shape. 30€ is very high per week, it means you earn around 15€ per hour |

Chiggsglover: BTA of 2000 is quite enough. Immediately you have your gnib, you can work, gnib appointment should be booked one month in advance Well, I had to call home for gnib, it was just too heavy. From your part time job are you tax free, if not how many percent are you taxed? |

Chiggsglover: Depend on how quick you apply when you're in Nigeria 1M sorry I'm a bit curious, I just want clarity so I can plan. From your experience would 2000 euros be okay as BTA when leaving? did you get a job before you got your GNIB card? how long does it take to get a job? your BTA of 1 mill, was it inclusive of the 500 euros for GNIB card |
Travel › Re: Adventure In Ireland by faithzy(m): 9:14am On Apr 24, 2020 |

ICaSNg: You are not comprehending, someone can submit an app in Feb to visit Dublin in July/August another may submit in Feb to visit in April. Its seems logical to approve for the Later entry than someone who intended going in April . Its that simple thats how visa approval works.
Not saying all refusals has to do with Covid-19 but definitely it has huge impact on decisions at this time, SIMPLE This makes a lot of sense! |

BabajhideySammy: Hello, I just got admission to Dublin Business School. The letter says “Full fees are payable to Dublin Business School by telegraphic transfer prior to visa submission (unless a visa Approval in Principle scheme operates in your region) and prior to course commencement at DBS”. If I am not mistaken, this basically means I need to balance the tuition fee before school resumes, because rn I plan on paying about €8000. Anyone in DBS or anybody with a clue please. I plan to pay around that sum too for now |

But then Dbs referred you to an agency speak to them . Thanks Thanks, please last question; ● these documents you stated, would they be just photocopies, because I can't get original since he is not in Nigeria ● I left my job last year April, have not had a new job since then, please how can I cover for the gaps that it won't affect my Visa application. ● can I use my Church as a Volunteer job? |

ICaSNg: You and your sponsor will both present 6 months bank statements- Ireland however deals with inflow , outflow of steady funds and explanation on all lump sum. You are required to show a balance of 3m after paying your tuition in full and definitely more than 3m if using a sponsor. Good day, I got admission to DBS, I have 75% of my tuition with me, my Sponsor has the balance and cost of living in his account but he is not in Nigeria, can he show proof of his Payslip and statement of account, would my visa application fly properly? |

oyinthread: Hi guys, been following this group for a while. Will like to pass this piece of advice for those that might need it. I will strongly advice aspiring Ireland students to look into other countries with better opportunities. I just moved 3months agos, and my little experience is not fantastic. Firstly, we are over 100 in my class (Msc), they keep giving you crazy assignments ( you are practically self-learning), the accommodation is very expensive and scarce, there are no jobs( part or full time) or better put very hard to get.. I know everybody has diff story and experience, but if you find this useful. Kindly, channel your resources, time and efforts to a better country. Thanks Where in Ireland are you? |
