That’s nice o, mine was hopefully we can start to process your application by the end of June. Fingers crossed
I'm anxious though about the feedback, but I trust God. When did you submit your application, I submitted on the 9th of March

Hello all, is it necessary to submit an english test result with your visa application even though you have gained admission from a university in ireland, with fees paid?
Very necesarry

Uhm, not necessarily “finish”, my message seemed more like they would start processing by the end of June.
"Hopefully we would be in a position to complete processing your application by the end of june" their response in quote

Good day ICaSNg, I submitted my application in March for April session, but the admission was deferred to September and i sent the updated offer alongside an updated medicover in April to the embassy via mail and they responded that they’ll add it to my file and start working on it as soon as things start to calm down. Do you think I should still send a reminder since they are working on previous application or I should just give it time?. I look forward to your response. Thanks
I sent my updated letter in April but the response I got from them was they would hopefully finish processing my application before the end of June, is this the same response you got?

I’m not trying to discourage you bro, I’m only sharing my experience maybe it might help you.
Just make sure your sponsor has up to 8M, I’m sure you won’t have any problem with that. And make sure you are related to your sponsor( I mean same surname).
If you got your birth certificate recently make sure you state the reason why you are not using the one they issued at the time of birth in your application letter.
Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm sure your UK visa would be successful by God's grace.

Thanks, guess you were supposed to resume April before? What now happens to September intakes??
Like I said, they are waiting for the visa office to reopen, or are you asking about admission? That's already in progress.

Ok I think you have quite an experience..
I would love to ask, my dad transferred some money into his personal acct from his business acct. last yr December. It was meant to cover up my living expenses for the school i got admitted to then.... the money is still there

After my fees are deducted. He would have at least 10m left. I have also explained this in my personal statement with proof of business ownership. Is the money sufficient? Cos the guy above said his both sponsors had 5m+ yet they said insufficient funds....
I don't have experience, before submitting my application, my agent explained to me on how to present my finance. From what you have said and the documents you have to support the funding, I see nothing wrong. It should fly. Remember the dude said one of the account was not accepted because of tax clearance, he also did not state if he made full payment and how much balance he has to pay.

After paying the school fee and buying bond or ur sponsor can show the 7keuro in his/her account with additional 7k to 10k euro after I swear them go grant u the visa.....but take note he/she must explain how all the money entered the account
You should also show proof of income.

Good day, please to those schooling at Ireland, will the school calendar changed after the end of this pandemic......... Has there been any memo on any information about the incoming students.....

Really worried, because am sure this pandemic will change many regular routines...
Memo I received from DBS, they would reopen by September, we are still waiting for the visa office to resume.

5M+ after full payment of school fees wasn't enough? Shey I will not defer my admission laidis.. Why is their process so annoying ffshuh
Insufficient finance in terms of rejection does not just mean the amount is not enough, it could mean not enough evidence to explain lodgment, proof of income not explained, if the person have dependant (kids, wife) it will affect.

Sorry if i may ask, was the funds there after your fees were deducted?
Were they your parents account?
Were the accounts business accounts cos i can see tax clearance.

I’m asking because my dad would have around same amount after my fee is deducted and he doesn’t want to include his landed properties
He has to explain his source of funds with proof, then explain any large lodgment made to the account.

So sad you have to go through this. Unfortunately, refunds can only go back into the account you paid from. However, to correct your statement and guide against inflation on FX its always better to pay through a dorm act incase things don't go according to plan, you won't lose much funds. Exceptions however to those paying through CBN directly.

Cheers
Please when you say "pay through CBN directly" do you mean form A?

Its actually because visa officers have been moved to Dublin and only the head of the Nigerian Visa office is still around.

I think I have enough first hand information at the moment. If there is any changes to that, I'll be happy to share.

This new development is not strange since thats what the UK - TLS currently does anyways

Thank you. I would agree with you because paper documentation is a risk to spread the coronavirus as it can survive For more than 2 days on papers and plastics.

I would advise you wait till the Irish visa officially announces they are accepting new apps. Plus, applications will be scanned to Dublin via the VFS so hopefully response will be between 8-10 weeks.
Are you certain about the scanning of applications?

Construction is the last job I'm gonna shift to, that's what I mean. I can do Security and sit in front of cameras, kitchen porter, warehouse, care and others. Given the reputation it has in Nigeria, and how I'll be one with nature by having sand all over me and all.....for you, you wont start from the scratch, me that I'm not an engineer, you'll command me to change my style in the sand.

I really dont know much about the construction industry, a good guide is to go on LinkedIn, find Nigerians in construction there, buzz them and ....
Or you can read about what is expected of a project engineer.
that part about commanding you got me cracking. Thanks man.

That's good, construction is a good one too.
Lots of construction going on in Dublin and it never ends.
Though you'll have to research more

Expats like us always look down on it for part time job.
Hey chiggs, I have a 3 years experience as a Project engineer in construction, can I get a part time job with my experience in Dublin? What are my chances? Please what do you mean by expats look down on construction job?

Ecobank, it was my dad that made the transaction
He has to revisit the branch and request to speak to the Head of Operation in the branch.

So i don’t know if this lockdown is affecting Form A payments.. my dad has tried to pay my fees since March. It hasn’t still gone through... is anyone having the same issue??
What bank did you use?
Form A takes 3 - 7 working days. However you can speed up the rate of the transaction by going back to the branch you made the transaction. I had issues during my time, this was how I rectified it.

You're on the right path
As long as you know the basics at least, you're doing well.
Now e remain SQL.
Instead of data Analytics, why not other branch like software development.....
Might be late, cos I have submitted my visa application.

Yes o, when you consider the anguish you experienced to pass maths, we sabi maths pass Irish o
Is data analysis just about working algorithms of R and SQL, actually I'm from a core engineering background(mechanical) but I'm learning python and R, would my background help to better assimilate things faster in class?

Thank you
You're welcome man

I have written alot about Bsc in Ireland vs Nigeria.

If you do it in Nigeria, its cheaper, higher chance you'll complete it, you'll be happier, imagine if you come abroad for your holidays. You taste best of both worlds, that's the kind of life I will want for my kid. There was always a difference between those kids that go for holiday abroad and us. I couldnt place my hand on it.
opportunity to Flex better and learn with Nigeria as a case study, this is important because you can know how to impact your nation positively in time to come.
Nothing like dropping out because you know if you dont finish it, Pertaining to master's abroad, YOU'RE FINISHED.

For the courses, IT is the way here, my course, Data Analytics isnt easy because I didnt learn SQL and R.
Its not too hard if I took a week to Learn them in Nigeria through YouTube.

Even care is booming, though you'll write qualification exams
Accounting is also juicy

For ladies that dont like stress with IT, this is confirmed with the doctors and nurses that have lost their lives. Care jobs are the way.
I have seen alot and the pay is huge.

If not because I'm sensitive to people in pain and all,
I for switch. I'll just stick to the safety of my laptop and enjoying the thrill of Playing God with Numbers
So if learn SQL and R in Nigeria, it would be of great help.

Hello.
What I spend on feeding is quite high if you convert it to naija currency.
I spend an average of €12.50 weekly in order to eat what I like to my full. Most of the grocery here is cheaper than Nigerian food, some are even equal like chicken, pork, rice, spag, breakfast cereals, bread, bread spreads and others. The key is to buy them in the right places. Tesco is closer to my house, I only go there to buy their Basmati rice if I feel like eating it, bread, chicken, lemonade and coke.

We are expected to pay your full fees before you resume classes.
I personally had like €500, they didnt allow me to start classes, but I would have been allowed if I met the department in charge and reasoned with them. Because I knew a Nigerian that had challenges paying hers, she hustled the remaining for like a month and was able to attend classes
Brother your too real, I like the way you give real time facts. This is really helping me plan. Please keep up the good work and best of luck in your exams.
