TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Farajobi(f): 7:37am On Mar 25, 2022
Hi guys. My UK visit visa was refused yesterday.
My application was air tight - if I do say so myself.
However, the officers reason was that he checked my employers business registration online and it was inactive. I work for a company with over 250 employees
When I checked the registration website , realized that almost all companies register before 2020 were appearing as inactive. The website isn’t updated.
Please house, what can be done in this situation ?

Can I evaluate my incomplete Masters degree? Only my thesis remaining to conclude the program in 6months time. I just aced my IELTS and would like to enter the pool ASAP. will this be acceptable for the EE profile? If it is incomplete, where's the proof that the program has be concluded?

I wouldn’t be going to Canada directly from the UK
UK back to Nigeria, then a week after to Canada.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Farajobi(f):
Hi everybody.
cc @giselle237
I need your opinion, please.

I want to visit my Boyfriend in the UK in May 2021 as I will be relocating to Canada in June 2021 (I have a Canadian PR) and I am not sure when next we would be seeing.
He is willing to write me an invitation letter and provide all the necessary documents.
I have N5M in my name. 4M is set aside for my relocation to Canada and 1M for my trip to the UK.

But here are my challenges-
- In anticipation & preparation for my relocation to Canada I plan on putting in my resignation next week; it seems difficult to provide ties to home country.
- My siblings and Mum have relocated to Canada already: worry for ties to home country.
I need advice on how to go about my application to avoid rejection.

Are you less than 30 or 31 at most ?
Did you hold any job for a period of 1year without any gap ?
if both answers are YES, then Express entry might be best for you.

Good day All,

I recently got PPR (family of 3). I am in a dilemma and I would appreciate your opinions as to which option to go with. My wife works with one of the Big 4s and she needs to give them 3months notice b4 resignation.

Option 1: I land alone, try to settle into the country and make adequate provisions for her and the kid. With this plan, wife and kid would come after her 3months notice period. However, someone told me that if I come alone, immigration may not allow them entry because I am the PA and that the PA is expected to travel with them. The text highlighted in red is wrong.. As the PA, as long as you land first, your dependents will be granted entry whenever they come in.

Option 2: She applies for leave from work and We all come together but she and d kid do softlanding. They return back to Nigeria after spending one month and she drops her resignation letter and wait out the 3 months notice period. My issue with the second option is that we would have to spend money on flight twice..

Pls house I need your opinions

Either of the two options are good...

Good morning house, please I need assistance.

Please post ITA.
-Can I still adjust and remove work experience before i submit? Yes, move whatever experience you don't want to claim points for to your personal history.
-I have a part time experience there that I honestly wasn’t paid for and I don’t want to complicate myself, I want to delete it. move it to your personal history.
- I only just realised I only stopped working at a firm one month later so I want to change the dates from September to October.

Make sure while doing all thes adjustments , it does not affect your primary NOC and you still have atleast 1yr of work experience in the primary NOC.

After all, my work experience will still be 3yrs 1 month (1 yr 11 months and 1 yr 2 months) .

Please any help. Thank you

Do not use flutterwave Barter o... be warned. There are restrictions on what you can use your Barter dollar card for.. it's not gonna work on CIC.
Also you WILL lose money. The dollar buy rate is lower than sell , so if you try and it fails, your money will never remain the same again (lol). My own is still paining me THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE!

Hello everyone!
I’m a tad worried about my proof of funds with the way CAD has been fluctuating. I’ll be submitting my application sometime this week and 4 million naira is all I can spare right now for POF. I’ve been worried sick that with the whole fluctuation going on, it might not be enough. Someone advised I either add an extra 500k to cushion whatever effects the changes might bring(I can’t afford the extra till maybe next year) or decline ITA to buy extra time to add more cash. What do you all kindly suggest? Are you a single family ? 100k will be just okay to cushion the effect of exchange rate. Another thing you can do is, on the day you would be submitting attach a copy of either Oanda / xe 's rate of the day. There's no need declining ITA.

Secondly my bank reference has no average six months balance like in the CIC format. It was a huge hassle of going to the bank every day for two weeks to get this one. Will a six month bank statement suffice instead? YES There was hardly any activity in the account these six months though. Make sure you can explain any lumpsum

Hello My Good people.
Pls when creating the EE Profile, there was no place to put the data of our child. Please at what point are we going to add our child in this process? You will be asked to provide your dependents details after you have received ITA.

Also, after doing medicals are there documents from the clinic to be uploaded by each member of the family Post-ITA? Yes
Thanks.

Pls I need clarification on this. I’m asking on behalf of my wife.

She’s about to create a profile but not sure on the appropriate name to use. We got married after she wrote IELTS and had done ECA. Pls should she use her maiden name as contained in her IELTS result and other docs or should she use my name since she will be applying as married.
She should use her name exactly how it is on her int'l passport to create the account.. After receiving ITA she would indicate that she has gone by a different name in the past and provide change of name documents.

Please I need help with information as regards Employee reference letters. If I worked at my former employer's using my maiden name, how should the format of my reference letter be? Should it have my maiden name on the heading with my new name in parentheses? or vice versa?
Two options:

1. It can have ABC formally known as ABD or
2. Have the name you went by as atl the last day of your employment (your PostITA questionnaire would ask you if you have gone by any other name before, you will indicate. this will prompt a change of name place holder for you to upload change of name documents) NB: This my most preferred option

Good evening all, please can anyone assist me with a sample of client/customer recommendation letter or what the letter should consist of, as regards to being self employed. Thank youuuuu
The client should list the services provided , how long they have been your client for (it's important to use at least one of your oldest clients)and contain information on payment for these services (it would be nice to attach either payment receipt , invoices, or highlight bank deposits from the client ) . The client should also indicate their contact details in the letter so that the immigration officer can contact them and verify the authenticity of the document.

Hi guys.. I need your help on a couple of things giving me headaches about filling my application...

Pre-ITA when opening my EE profile, I filled in a few information that I'm trying to change now post-ITA (which should and does not affect my score and appears not too deep) but i don't know how best you guys can advice me:

1. Pre-ITA, under the educational history section, I inadvertently only filled in my University education (since it was the only certificate i assessed and which I'm claiming points for) without filling in Law school education, secondary education/degree or Primary school. Now I just properly read the instructions and saw that they asked to fill other educational infos. - You can fill the law school and secondary school Information in the personal details section of your Post ITA form.

I'd like to know if filling information abt my Law school and secondary school details in my main application is the right thing to do being that i did not do this Pre-ITA and i hope it wont mean that I provided inconsistent data?? You don't have to change that section post ITA, just put all those information in your personal details/information section.

2. After going through my Pre-ITA form and studying the information i put in the University education part (as stated in 1 above), I discovered that while i correctly stated the degree equivalent in Canada to be "Masters degree or Professional degree to practice a licensed profession", i mistakenly and wrongly selected the Degree level of education in Nigeria to be "Masters degree or Professional degree to practice a licensed profession" instead of selecting "Bachelors Degree of 3 or more years..." I'm thinking that since my ECA will be cross checked and validated, my error of putting the level of education in Nigeria as Masters or License to practice instead of Bachelor degree should not be material.. What was it evaluated as?? You should select what ever WES has evaluated the degree to be on your WES report.. If it was evaluated as a Masters degree or Professional degree, regardless of it being a BSC in Nigeria.. You are to use what WES had reported.. For example people who use CIPM to claim points will indicate it as a 3years BSC because that's what WES said.

Can someone please advice me if putting the accurate information now in the main post-ITA application would be detrimental to my Applicationhuh

3. Lastly, the province i intend to pick is different from the ones i picked while filling my Pre-ITA form.. am I bound to stick to the choices of provinces I made Pre-ITA or can pick the province of my choice now? If you are not a PNP applicant , you can land anywhere you wish in Canada except Quebec.

I'll really appreciate if people knowledgeable in these can help me out.. I'm in a crazy dilemma! Thank you guysss

Dear All.
Kindly assist me. My school made a mistake in my date of birth when sending in my transcript to Wes. Now my Wes report is out and bears that the wrong date of birth. If it is a mistake by the school, you should contact them and notify them of their mistake. Request that they resend the transcript with the correct DOB. After which you would notify WES and tell them the school has sent another transcript with correct DOB

Please will an affidavit suffice. Or maybe a letter from the school stating that it was an error.

Please is there anyone who has or had a similar case. Please how did you solve this issue. Did you have any issue with IRRC?

Awaiting your responses

It is worth mentioning that your JDs are also quite closely related to NOC 1211 as well... However, which ever NOC its is make sure it matches 100 % with the lead statements...

• Administration of all office expenses as well as coordination of purchase and disposal of office assets. NOC 1221, item 5
• Allocate job items to team members and raise system access requests on their behalf where necessary. NOC 1211, Item 2 or 1 and NOC 1221, item 2
• Interface with other units for prompt resolution of issues and smooth running of operations. NOC 1211, Item 3
• Coordinate stock requisition from Central store to ensure optimal inventory levels. NOC 1211, Item 5
• Coordinate records management, maintenance, and processing of sensitive data.
• Ensure policies and regulations are adhered to with respect with data processing and information management. NOC 1221, item 4
• Handle Client service/logistics and see to resolution of customer complaints.
• Ensure all Office equipment and Security apparatus are functional and in optimal condition for business. NOC 1211, Item 6 and maybe NOC 1221, item 5
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of returns/reports to controlling office in line with statutory norms. NOC 1221, item 8

Lead statements –
NOC 1221 - Administrative officers oversee and implement administrative procedures, establish work priorities, conduct analyses of administrative operations and co-ordinate acquisition of administrative services such as office space, supplies and security services.

NOC 1211 - Supervisors of general office and administrative support workers supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers in the following minor groups: General office workers (141) and Office equipment operators (142).

thanks for the reply. Please I need your advice here.. what can I do to score higher points above 470. I have bsc, 2years work experience, I would be 26years old next January and I plan on starting the express entry next year ending. What can I do to meet the target score? Since Pgd is lower than MSc, what can I do to have a higher point? With this profile! and assuming you are single and that you will max out IELTS, Your score would be 474 with PGD and 481 with masters
Why are you waiting until the end of 2021 though ?

Good evening and congrats to the recent testifier

Please I need guidance
I want to start my EE journey next year, I have HND and ND in Public Administration. I'm assured that I can claim 3years work experience with a paid volunteer work of 7months in an health related NGO as data entry officer, NYSC school teaching and my current work which is customer service related- NOC 6552 captures this perfectly.

I'm confused at the point because 6552 is skill C and I think this can't apply for express entry
Take a look at NOC 6411.. Does it fit your JD or can it be tweaked to ?
