Its simple. The Central A.c Cools Better and Faster, but More Expensive to Install that the regular Ones. Over here its Highly recommended for Big Spaces, and not Small locations like Personal Homes. But can also be recommended in homes Like big Studio Apartments. The Bottom line is Cost. You know that is always a Major factor in a Developing Economies like Nigeria.

In a nutshell, central ACs are available in Nigeria for those who prefer it?

I left Nigeria a month ago (I miss that confusing, hectic, insane country like mad ).

I wouldn't have been able to help anyways as I hate Lagos with a passion and I flee from there as soon as land and only go their to fly out.

If United offers a Houston to Ibadan flight I shall never step foot in Lagos ever again.

Let's know what you find. So far it's shape up to look like I'll be bringing stuff over from UK instead of US for ease and cheaper shipping. Except for the actual toilets which has to be US style. They have iKea in UK which is a freaking blessing for me.

Lagos is a no-no for me too. My project is not anywhere in Lagos at all. I can't live in Lagos on a four week vacation in a year not to talk of a whole year.

I am set to buy everything here for my project but some friends who have been running their mouths that tiles I like are sold in Lagos haven't been able to show me a single tile that I like. They promised to go to the market to show me what Lagos has to offer when it comes to floor tiles but haven't done so. I went to Home Depot and Lowes few times in the last few weeks and there are good deals there but my only concern is how to move tiles in pallets. There is no way to move those tiles in pallets without a pallet jack or forklift. Moving tiles in pallets by hands is recipe for disaster when they get to Lagos. I will keep trying until someone able to show me something I like or else I will do all my things from here.

As for U.K, materials are too expensive there. I checked them out and I had to run away from their sites. Imagine a toilet set for 250- 400 pounds. That's without tax.

Its the application of the law that is questionable. Go and research how many Westerners have been executed for violating the same law.

FYI: Not a single American who violated the same law has ever been executed.

I am not against death penalty for drug barons but I have problem with some of these countries executing Africans for drug offences and sparing the lives of Americans or other westerners who have committed same crime. Our government needs to start rounding up citizens of Indonesia, Malaysia and others and start charging them arbitrarily so we can use that to negotiate freedom of our people on death row in those countries.

I have seen it all. I am torn between people telling me good tiles are available in Lagos and people telling me quality tiles are not much available anywhere in Nigeria. Those who said good tiles are available in Nigeria are yet to show me anything close to samples I sent them to look for in Lagos. I have been to Home Depot and Lowes on several occasion in the last three weeks to look at tiles. My only problem is how my people going to take care the tiles if I decide to ship tiles to Lagos. The tiles are crated in a different kind of pallets that you can't move them except you have pallet jack or forklift machine. Moving the tiles by hand poses a threat to them remaining in whole. These pallets cannot be moved by ten macho men. They are heavy.

Cost of very good tiles start from $3 per square foot in the U.S.

@Spyder, please show us best available tiles you see in Nigeria.
