TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Favouredcanadia:
If you are medical doctor and intends to practise in Canada, your credential evaluation should be done through the Medical Council of Canada(MCC) and not WES, otherwise you can use WES, ICES or any other evaluation body.

Diavolo:
Good morning house, I'm a doctor who's planning on entering the express entry program. My issue is that I have an error on my waec result, the date of birth isn't correct and the time and process to rectify is much. So meaning I can't use WES for my ECA. Is it advisable for me to use ICES who don't require weac instead or rather sort out the issue and use WES.

My bad! I never knew that WES doesn't evaluate pharmacy as professional.

quote author=Mimi1999 post=79384172]
Don’t try it o. Your application may be rejected or delayed. My former classmate used WES and was asked for ADR because WES evaluates Pharmacy and some others as just Bachelors so she lost points and didn’t have required score as at her draw. Lucky her, she only had to get PEBC ECA result which took 2 months to complete before her file was touched again. That cost her double money and time wasted.
I know it’s expensive but my dear, it’s worth it.[/quote]

If you think PEBC ECA is too expensive; although I do not know the cost, you can use WES for ECA. Then you proceed to do PEBC evaluation when you land in Canny if you are really keen on practising.

Hmmm. It's like my ancestors want me to remain team 9ja.
Got fed up with this country and my quest to get out with my wife and kid was born, did a little research and found Canada to be the dream place, and I also found this thread, asked questions and was given answers but when I discovered what it will take me as a pharmacist and the numerous exams, I threw in the towel even before I started.
9ja. We die here.

But what if PPR comes so much earlier before delivery?
She will definitely be allowed to travel, I've got friends who arrived Canada weeks to their due dates after getting PR.

Don't be discouraged, I've practically been in your shoes. My husband vehemently refused to support me the very first times I started talking abt this EE thingy. He blatantly said I was crazy if I thought I could survive alone with the kids over there. But you know what I did? I started my ECA, did my first ielts without his support and kept gathering info about d whole process, also asking God to touch his heart. How God did it I didn't know, today my husband is the one pushing me to make head way with this journey. Sometimes he calls and say 'mama when are you talking me to Canada, the while process is taking too long'. Men sometimes can be selfish especially if they feel they have their dream job here in Nigeria. BTW, my hubby is a doctor serving in the military. Bottomline is 'never give up on your dream, no matter who is discouraging you'
NB: My findings from friends who live in Canny made me realise that a woman can actually survive alone with her kids over there, it isn't Naija where everything is hard. I've heard of some women working two jobs to enable them pay bills, I'm not encouraging you to separate from your hubby, but he can always visit you guys as long as you don't exclude him from the application.

Rence22:
My fellow nairalanders. I appreciate your help so far despite the fact that I haven't really gone too far. I am just at the ECA stage and registered for ielts next month. It's with a very great sadness that I might have to pull out of this canny dream. Really sad for me. hubby has seriously been reluctant. Says he loves his Naija and God has not instructed him to leave Nigeria and until he receives his heavenly dream from God, he is not going anywhere. He actually said if I want to go badly, I should. But here's the problem, with 3 kids ages 5 3, and 1.5 years old. How do I cope with daycare, job search, mobility, picking up from schools, groceries, and upkeep alone in Canada. To worsen it, he isn't supporting financially. I even offered and begged to have him sit for ielts and his eca with my monthly pay he reluctantly said yes but I thought, one can only force a horse to the river but not to drink. Without his help how will I survive with 3 beautiful kids alone in Canada. He is not even batting an eye concerning the benefits. He's a speedy driver, says cars are meant for speed how will such a person cope with Canadian traffic rules. These and some little others have just weakened me especially my children and the highest I can even leave them is a week. We are that close that they have never gone to bed without my hug and kisses. I dont have any family over there to help with. Good night.

QUESTION
Nowadays we are producing more and more rubbish.
why do you think this is happening?
what can governments do to help reduce the amount of rubbish produced?
give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
ANSWER
This days, there has been increasing production of waste products and this calls for concern. Our environment is continuously being polluted by materials that are of little use to us, and are constantly flooding the ocean, interfering with the natural habitat of other organisms who are of benefit to us. There are a lot of reasons why this has been on the rise.

Firstly, there has been an increase in the production of industrial wastes over the past few decades. Although we tend to be more civilized, our actions in terms of the production of materials we use have been damaging to our health and well-being. For Instance, plastic non-degradable materials are often being used for food and drink packaging and these products are left as refuse dumps over a long period of time, thereby polluting our waterways.

Secondly, there has been an increase in wasteful habits among consumers and manufacturers alike. We are constantly producing more than we need and consumers purchase more than they require.

In order to reduce the amount of waste being produced, government should impose laws and policies that mandates manufacturers to produce environmentally friendly materials and bio-degradable products for the consumption of all. One clear example is the production of paper bags and paper cups for the packaging of food and drinks. Such materials have been found to decompose easily within the shortest time.

In conclusion, there should be public awareness on the effects of extreme waste production, on the health of individuals and how such practice impact on other living organisms. In addition, the practice of waste reduction should be a joint effort by both government, manufacturers and the consumers alike, in order to successfully create a healthy environment for all.

I know this like the palm of my hand. Optometry is clearly stated as a professional degree on IRCC's website. I am an Optometrist and my ECA is professional. Thank you.

damzy88:
Are you sure about this? I thought only Medicine,Pharmacy and Law are classified as Professional degree according to Express Entry. Thanks
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Favouredcanadia: 6:26am On May 20, 2019
No you don't have to be certified in Canada before you can apply for EE. With your optometry degree you are good to go since its assessed as an equivalent of a masters/professional degree.

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Favouredcanadia:
You have to send wes a web mail from your profile asking them to remove it for you.

gobby:
please how did you remove your Bsc from the WES account. I want to do that for my spouse. From the WES account page I can see "modify your order". But its only 3 options that I can see,: 1.add recipients
2.order additional copies
3.make changes to your delivery and processing options

ECAs usually state the year your degree was awarded which is stated on your certificate and not the year stated on your transcript. Are you sure its not 2012 that was stated on your certificate?

chikcutie:
@ Tolfa, I also followed up with my school, and they said it was 2011 that was stated in the verification. I'm just confused.

I didn't get any mail to that effect, my friend in Canada just kept checking his mailbox until it was delivered.

Mstomie:
I'm back o, for those people that used ICES for evaluation did you get any email indicating that your evaluation was done and will/has been dispatched?.

I checked my profile today and I saw that my evaluation has been complete but I'm yet to get an email or anything about delivery.
