After an action-packed weekend of FA
Cup third-round action, Manchester City,
Manchester United, Chelsea and holders
Arsenal are among the teams waiting to
find out their fourth-round fate.
United toiled past Sheffield United thanks
to a last-minute Wayne Rooney penalty,
whereas it was routine for City, Chelsea
and Arsenal, while Liverpool and
Tottenham drew with Exeter and
Leicester respectively.
There were just 19 winners in the 31 ties
- Newport County v Blackburn was
postponed - across the weekend though
Eastleigh, the lowest-ranked side in the
third round, survived against Bolton to
remain in the draw.
The 44 teams left in the competition will
learn their next opponents, dependant
on replays, when the draw takes place at
between 7pm and 7.30pm on Monday,
January 11 and is televised on BBC One.
The other surprise names in the hat,
aside from the aforementioned Exeter
and Eastleigh, is Oxford United after a
3-2 victory over Swansea City and
Championship strugglers Bristol City
nearly beating West Brom.

Nairalanedrs, afternoon pls i need your views on this..I and a friend argued intensively today. He insisted one should be a management personnel or professional to manage a nation effectively. He said one of our problems in Nigeria is that people who are not conversant with management are at the helm of national affairs. However,i argued that its not necessary you study management in school before you know how to manage effectively.I cited Umaru Yaradua as an example and frederick taylor was a mechanical engineer and that he managed whatever company he worked for efficiently...pls what are your views? |
