Brentford's Donaldson reveals Chelsea bickering during FA Cup clash

The Bees top scorer has said that Ashley Cole was constantly moaning about the Blues' attacking failings throughout the 2-2 draw, and hopes to exploit

Brentford striker Clayton Donaldson has revealed the on-field bickering between Chelsea players during their 2-2 FA Cup fourth-round draw on Sunday.

The Bees almost pulled off one of the shocks of the round when Harry Forrester gave his side the lead from the penalty spot 17 minutes from time, only for Fernando Torres to force a replay 10 minutes later with a fine shot from the edge of the area.

And Donaldson has publicised Ashley Cole’s constant dissatisfaction with his side's attacking movement and the lack of penetration from the strikers as the holders were held by the League One outfit.

"[Cole] was always mumbling something, always mumbling stuff quietly, but I could still hear what he was saying. He was just getting frustrated,” Donaldson told reporters.

"He was saying about the forward players not showing, saying things like 'He needs to be there' and pointing. You could just see straight away that he was getting frustrated. That was a good thing."

nateevs: 10 appearances only in the league. 8 starts and 2 subs. I'll be surprised if he's not playing like he's on pumped juice.
He's a squad rotation player at best and not worth paying over 100k a week for.
effective management of a player. now, we are even short of players now abi no be so?
and oh we have a striker who is earning even more and aint performing. I guess he is worth keeping innit? grin cheesy

You dont expect people to sleep on this thread or do you? cheesy

Meanwhile, Essien is playing like he is on some African pumped up juice. Dude is everywhere on the pitch for Real Madrid.

Why did RA and Co allow him out on a season long loan?

Guess Jose will be smiling now. cheesy Iker is out so imo its good Adan actually got some 1st team football before Casillas injury. This is why footballers should do their job and let the manager face him own job.

Ramos should not start acting like Guti! cheesy and Is it me just me or are we seeing a completely different Ronado?

mahn, Essien playing like he is 24 all over again. The man is everywhere. Interesting to know why Chelsea allowed him out on a season long loan!

logica: Um...is that not an indictment on Moaninho? I can remember he's the sore loser always crying over Barca getting help from UEFA (how pathetic). Where as he usually gets a lot of assistance from refs who have either been bribed or are indeed scared of him. Dunno which.

This same ref who we are speaking of here (with the ridiculous slicked-back hair) called Muniz Fernandez was also the same at the center when Barca visited The Bernabeu in 2010; and who ensured Moaninho was not humiliated home and away on his first season in Spain. The match ended 1-1 after he'd overlooked several penalty calls in favor of Barca (especially one that would've seen Casillas sent off).
have we a translator in the house? I understood nada of what you wrote? cheesy

@Ibime, have a look at this? It was 4 Nigerian players against 3 Bukinababes (copyright A-40) cheesy in our half. The back 4 should have effectively dealt with the situation! It's also interesting to know where Ahmed Musa was.
How can you blame Mikel for that? If anything, you should deduct Yobo's and Keshi's allawi. grin

whats all this rubbish about how Fash is dressed? Can't believe anyone will even bring it up?
Yoruba's will say, aso nla ko ni eyan nla (do the translation for yourself) cheesy . Not only that, Fash is dressed up "tradi-cally" (ti nwa n ti nwa...if you know what I mean wink ). What's the big deal in that?

Is that what was discussed in that gathering or meeting or whatever? It would be beneficial to know what they talked about and not the dress code so to speak.

And then some even went further to assume that just because you have a first or second english name means that you are inferior! SMH. undecided na una sabi! tongue

I think he was one of the best players on the field last night. Plus, I've always told you that Mikel aint no DM. Many may not angry but he is not.

Maybe you should talk to Yobo and Co. or the left-back dude that was under constant grinding. All the 'missles" were flying in from his side.

Mcleo007: All that "volleyball" happened several minutes after Abidal's sending off. Thing most of you guys fail to point out is the fact, Ovrebo was generally poor with his officiating on that night. His decisions affected both teams; and the most hit was Barca, who despite having a man wrongly dismissed, still controlled the game. Now, that's class!
save the story for espn. he was poor and you guys benefited from it. end of story.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: R36L Madrid - Most Successful & Greatest Champ15ns of Spain, Europe & W9rld by FBS: 7:48am On Jan 19, 2013
Johnpaul88: @FBS,
it is laughable that you still remember the pathetic Overbo. Everybody have moved on from that shoody officiating. No one remembers that any more. In any case, it hardly helps your case here.
homie dont get it twisted, we've moved on. Just pointing out those throwing stones in a glass house. geddit? cheesy

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by FBS: 8:06am On Jan 18, 2013
Although RdM did not pass any of his big tests this season, we always played with easy swagger (gear 2 cheesy ) against the so called minors. And until the referee induced loss against manure, we were doing just fine even with 10 men on the pitch. (surely Torres was never on the pitch or was he? )

Now they said Mr Knockout specialist a.k.a Rafa is better and will improve Chelsea. I ask in what way? Blowing hot and cold at the same time?

The hardest part is this, who will come to Chelsea's rescue or is it gonna be Rafa? the special one or just another manager looking to make some quick and easy load of pounds?

The options aren't that much.

Even if we beat l'ar..se come sunday, a top 4 position is still not guaranteed.

It took one certain player 25 games to accomplish same.

Its a feckin.G disgrace!

Mcleo007: Yeah.. Same Ovrebo that gave Abidal a red card for committing no offence. He was about 5 yds away from Anelka as the latter tripped on himself and fell while he was put through on goal.
ddippset: word!
word ko, encyclopaedia ni. Tom overbo turned a blind eye while you guys were busy playing volleyball in your box 18. (Eto'o and Pique). The yeye man turned down like 4 CLEAR penalty appeals. Now that is robbery.

EVen Hiddink said it was the WORST performance by any referee he has ever seen.
