EAGLES FRIENDLY RESCHEDULED? Nigeria's friendly against Paraguay may be played at The Valley, home ground of Charlton Athletic, but a day earlier than originally scheduled, at the request of The FA. England play Egypt at Wembley on March 3, and NFF officials told KickOffNigeria.com that The Football Association do not want other games detracting from the Three Lions game. Already one other friendly scheduled for London has had to be moved to an earlier kickoff, the game between Ivory Coast and Korea Republic. The Nigeria game is thus expected to be played on March 2. http://www.kickoff.com/static/news/article.php?id=13932 |

Murat:Sorry but how old are you? Are you certain your passport and visa are both genuine? If so, where is it written that you cannot travel with a "virgin" passport? On what basis were you threatened with arrest? Who is going to refund your ticket for the missed flight? And you just mellowed and did nothing? I'm sorry but I fail to believe this. |

Dujkovic Peeved by Link with Super Eagles Job Former Ghana coach and present manager of the Serbian Under-21 national team Ratomir Dujkovic has ruled out any possibility of taking up the vacant Nigerian position. Speaking to Football 365.co.za, the Serbian denied rumours linking him to the top post and insisted that talk of him fulfilling the role is nothing but media speculation. "I am surprised at the way things are going," he said. "Every day people keep calling to tell me I have been shortlisted for a position I am not interested in. As far as I am concerned, I have not spoken to anybody regarding this job." "I am not happy at all. These rumuors put unnecessary pressure on me, my family and almost everybody around me. I am not interested in the job," he said. He explains that his role with the Football Association of Serbia precludes him from taking up any other post. "I have an existing contract with the Serbian Under-21s which does not allow me to talk to any other national team or football association," he added. The 63-year-old also reiterated his commitment to helping Serbia maintain its position as one of Europe's best sides, "At the moment, I am committed to building a very competitive youth team which can take on the rest of the world in the near future. We are gradually emerging as a force to reckon with in Europe. If that is to be maintained, then we have to get a backlog of equally good materials to supplement the efforts of the likes of Nemanja Vidic and company," he said. Until his recent appointment as the coach of the Under-21s, Dujkovic had stints with Rwanda, China and Ghana whom he guided to the World Cup in 2006. He becomes the fourth coach to rule himself out of the vacant Super Eagles job after Egypt's Hassan Shehata and Bayern Munich boss Louis van Gaal said that they weren't interested in the vacancy. Just on Sunday Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni also snubbed the job, insisting he was going to honour the remaining two year of his contract. http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=166574 |

Nigeria WC Camp Opens May Nigeria will open their 2010 Fifa World Cup training camp on May 15, and have decided on Richards Bay as their preparatory campsite. The Hampshire Hotel in Durban will be their World Cup base camp for the duration of their first round games. A 21-day training camp for the tournament will open on May 15, as set out in the programme laid out by Shuaibu Amodu to the NFF prior to his removal from the position. An NFF delegation led by President, Sani Lulu Abdullahi, were in South Africa on Friday inspecting the venues and finally picked the Hampshire, a new, 107-room hotel which does not open its doors until the end of February. The squad will leave for Durban on June 6, five days before the tournament kicks off. Also on the inspection trip were Executive Committee member Taiwo Ogunjobi, General Secretary Bolaji Ojo-Oba, Head of Marketing Adama Idriss and Media Officer Idah Peterside. Nigeria have been drawn with Argentina, Greece and South Korea. http://www.kickoff.com/2010/news/13866/nigeria-wc-camp-opens-may.php |
honeric01:Was he forced to take the job, yes or no? ![]() |
honeric01:Ki la gbe. . .ki le ju? Wetin we ask, wetin you answer? Why did he take the job? Answer the question. Was he forced to take the job? |
In any case, Snakova has a point. If he (Amodu) knew he wouldn't be allowed to pick his OWN team. . .he could have resigned. |
Let them be. It's none of your business. But if you are talking on general terms, then it's no big deal. . .The man I assume can wash the dishes without even the wife asking him to do that. Truth is, no one likes to be bossed around. Man or woman. |
How much? |
proffmanue:Glad to hear that but hey its FBS. . .not fsb? ![]() |
