Chelsea close to £100m deal to sign Aguero

Intermediaries have put together a £100 million "package" deal to take Argentine international superkid Sergio Agüero to Chelsea in the January transfer window.

Sergio Aguero rose to the occasion in scoring a brace against Chelsea in a recent Champions League encounter
The £100 million includes the player's salary which will be scaled up to reach nearly £250,000-a-week in the final years of the proposed Chelsea playing contract, the £40 million transfer plus near-£10m add-ons related to Chelsea's success, meaning a near £50 million transfer fee, with added agents' fees.

The 21-year-old Atlético Madrid striker Sergio Leonel Agüero del Castillo, has privately indicated "yes" to a move that will make him one of the highest paid players in the world, with a transfer fee that will smash the British record of £32.5m for Robinho by some distance.

Dis Guy:
the Clubs are exhibiting the same traits as the state and federal govt when it come to revenue and development
They are basically relying solely on the money distributed by the NFF/NPL and their state government
They accuse nigerians of going gong-ho over foreign clubs yet do absolutely nothing to promote their clubs and players

Most of the players in the just concluded U20 and U17 play for local clubs yet none of them could 'sell' their players or even associate themselves with the on-going tournament, not a single interview about the players with coaches of club chairperson. the players are not even trained to face the media

and still in 2009 no single functioning website for the NFF/NPL and clubs the npl budget millions for I.T though
the clubs cant even be shown on TV being involved with some local charity or NGO, Xmas dinner with fans etc just to promote themselves undecided
Na that one dey pain me pass. It's just crazy!

At least some of the clubs have websites now but they are generally NEVER updated.

@ Debate, having Rubin beat us @ home dnt mean they made us look like shyt bro, you could have just re-phrased by saying, they surprised us cos nobody ever thought we were gonna lose to them @ home for that matter. Had it been they outplayed us, and won the game with 2 or more goals to NILL, then your "saying" they made us look like shyt cud be counted VALID.
hahaha! You see, I was only trying to RUB-it-IN.  grin. The loss I mean.  tongue grin
But again, you couldn't beat them twice. That is very very baaaaaad! So you see, they made you look like ShiT!  tongue cheesy grin

Kwara United welcome Lobi Stars to the Ilorin Township stadium in this weekend's  Globacom NPL fixture and normally you will expect FIREWORKS!
Both teams have started brightly this season with Kwara United (4th place) just right above Lobi Stars (5th) on goals scored. Both teams are on 12 points from 7 matches.

https://i46.tinypic.com/2r2xag2.jpg

There is no clear favourite in this fixture but Kwara United will most likely put into use -The Home advantage!

Can Lobi stars put behind them their off the pitch troubles and focus on this match? Can they go all the way and claim the ALL important 3 points?
The battle for the top spot has begun! DON'T MISS IT.

PS: Abeg, if you are in Naija make sure you not only watch the match but also log on to NL and posts your comments, pictures, videos about the match.
Your input is more than valuable. Let's make our league the talk of the town on NL even if the media and NFF are not doing their job as expected.
We can make it more interesting.
If you are outside Naija, you may be lucky to catch it here: www.watchnta.com
Thanks.

30 Eagles To Regroup In Abuja December 27. Team To Jet Out To Training Camp December 30

Super Eagles players are expected to converge on Abuja to commence camping for the 2010 Orange African Nations Cup finals in Angola from December 27 through 29 and fly to South Africa on the 30th.

Complete Sports can report that 30 players will be invited for the trip to South Africa and subsequent camping in the Rainbow Nation.
The Eagles were last Friday grouped alongside current African champions Egypt, Mozambique and Benin Republic in Group C of the Nations Cup.

Head coach, Shuaibu Amodu had disclosed immediately after the Nations Cup draw that his team will camp in South Africa for both the Nations Cup and World Cup finals.
Coach Shuaibu Amodu drew a 50-man list to prosecute his Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers and the 30-man squad billed to report to camp will be from the list.
Amodu used 32 players during the first and last phase of qualifiers to the 2010 Nations/World Cup finals.

Afribank Line Up Brazil, Spain Friendlies For Eagles
The Super Eagles will not be lacking in top-grade international friendly games in the build-up to the World Cup next year if the sponsorship proposal of Afribank Plc is approved as the bank is prepared to bring countries like Brazil, Argentina and a host of other top football-playing nations to Nigeria.

Revealing this was the Nigerian Football Federation’s H.O.D Marketing, Idris Adama who was upbeat that for once, Nigerians who have for long been clamouring for quality friendlies for the Eagles would finally get their wish.

“The bank (Afribank) is preparing a proposal to sponsor friendly games for the Eagles as their own support for Nigerian Football. They plan to bring Brazil, Argentina and other top teams and the good thing is that the games would be played in Nigeria so the fans could see their stars in action. The only proviso is that any of these teams that fall in Nigeria’s group after the draw, naturally, will not be involved,” Adama said.

Yes, we have stars, the likes of Nwana, Owoeri, Osanga, ikechukwu thank-god and host of others, infact all of the u-17 are either from the nigerian league or from various academy.
Osanga did not impress me with the U-20 at all. Sorry.
But yes I know that U-17 were purely home base minus John Felangha - reserve goal keeper.

I'm currently in a location were its kinda hard 2 watch NPL,the major problem is 4rm d media,if more games can be televised everyweekend,it'll reduce our interest in other leagues and their camera is always 'bad',u knw wot i mean.
So you don't watch the matches and you expect to know the teams? undecided
I agree about the media/NFF/NPL not doing their job as expected but what about the internet? You could search if you wanted to.
