This was what I was hoping the current crop of players would do when Lampard was appointed. But it seems Chelsea as a whole, starting from the management, has written off this season totally.

If Lampard can motivate the boys to give their all in the remaining games of the season and there's a significant improvement, that will help his coaching career.
