@tkb417 @ sheniqua
what are you saying?
that only the bad 9jas go to SA?

im laffing at u.

Do you know how many 9jas work in places like pwC, SAP, PhillipsConsulting, ABSA,motorola, Multichoice and some other good coys?

Get a feel of 9jas at Sandton and tell me wassup. Do you know how many notable Nigeria architects are doing great in Jo'bourg?

ah!!! this is gruesome and should be dealt with accordingly.
what if we take to the streets tmr and smash der heads (South Africans)

as im typing, some are freaking moving around me feeling secured.
what if i secretly pay some street urchins to waylay us while we retire to our rooms?
what if i poison them?

this is really bad.

I think the govt needs to wake up and deal briskly with the issues of maltreatment to 9jas all over the world.

we all should put an end to these
come, are you 2 dreaming or simply out of your mind, ?where in all these did you see me post that only bad 9jas go to SA, ? open your eyes and read before writing rubbish. someone else made that statement, which in my opinion is wrong. there are bad people everywhere!,  I am against violence in any of its forms.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Boycott South Africa! Boycott Dstv, Mtn Etc! See What They Did To Your Brothers! by FBS: 4:38pm On May 19, 2008
Where in the world does this mentality come from?? Does the fact that the people who are protesting are people who are poor and unable to stand the continued violent crimes perpetrated by foreigners, including Nigerians who are quite popular in the Hillbrow area for their criminal track record, elude us?? Why should South Africans be forced to continue to deal with the crimes?? Why should they worship us even when they have had to deal with increased crime and the other factors, from immigrants in their country?? These people want to have their country change policies, maybe even restrict access to foreigners.
kokojunkie, i bet you wrote the above:

and what you are saying is this and that was let to my question,

what is your source and why do you assume that it is the immigrants that are the factors behind the ills in the SA society, ?

no one is forcing SA to tolerate anybody, but don't SA citizens travel to other countries, are they not tolerated there?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Boycott South Africa! Boycott Dstv, Mtn Etc! See What They Did To Your Brothers! by FBS: 4:23pm On May 19, 2008
Here is an assignment for you.

Point out exactly where in my post where I state that Barbaric acts are excusable and at the same time point out where in my post I state that all immigrants are the main source/perpetrators of crime?? If you have ever been to south africa at all you would know that crime rate is high with Nigerian immigrants in South Africa. It is not a secret at all as even I had to watch my self as a Nigerian in South Africa. Talk of drugs, prostitution, murder and you name it, many honest Nigerians in South Africa will tell you that Hillbrow is high crime area in Gauteng and Nigerians are notorious criminals in that area.

Instead of jumping to attack people blindly, spend more time reading and actually researching issues. I am not the only one on here who has stated that crime among immigrants is high in south africa but you seem to just want to pick an unnecessary argument in this case.
are Nigerians the only criminals in SA? what are talking about, research, assignment, bla bla bla, you sabi english ooh, grin

my point is this and let me repeat in case you have problem with reading, such acts as those committed in SA recently is bad to say the least, that immigrants are the reasons behind the social ills in SA is a false statement, ! there are criminals of all colors and types.

people become immigrants and this may not always out of their choice!!!

these attacks is not targeted towards Nigerians only, that should tell you that something is wrong with the society and my question was this: na immigrants because am?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Boycott South Africa! Boycott Dstv, Mtn Etc! See What They Did To Your Brothers! by FBS: 4:04pm On May 19, 2008
@kobojunkie
Please spend more time reading and less time posting responses to posts you do not even read. Where in my post did I justify the actions of these violent people??
you should practice same, your entire post did.

just because we can't get things right in our country does not mean that such barbaric acts are excusable.

I get irritated when people assume that immigrants are the main source/ perpetrators of crime, THAT IS JUST NOT TRUE!!!!

The objective of discussing this matter is to learn from past mistakes and make sure they do not repeat themselves in any form anywhere on the continent. Codemning what is going on in S.Africa is a necesscity not just bringing up old tales from yester years or are you telling us things just happen and we should fold our arms and not say or do anything. Nigerians are not the only affected communities in Africa.

Africa Unite.

My condolences to the brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers that are loosing their lives.

I read some posts on nairaland sometimes and wonder at the huge number of semi-illiterate Nigerians with access to a computer.

the ones with a degree of self hate totally unknown to other nationalities.

e be like say the large number of educated Nigerians is equally matched if not surpassed and outnumbered by the multitudes of half-baked "literates" spewing out rubbish which others are forced to read thanks to the internet.

Knowing how to express oneself is not an issue in itself, but to know what facts are actually behind such issues. If I may ask, what does cost to go to Ghana by plane? Or tell me how it cost to travel to the UK? Then I will know how best to tackle your myopic view on airfare.

@Tornadoz
Of course there are. My point is, any Nigerian with N70,000 or less can go to SA, hence the smallest and biggest crook will head to SA. You don't expect the number of Nigerian crooks in SA to do Nigeria's image proud do you?
certainly not, does the ones ( the 419ers, etc, ) in the US/Uk made Nigeria's image good? what the heck are you talking about. what is bad is bad, stop looking for excuses.

You question was why can't they be deported !Am sorry but mobs don't deport people). My reasoning is that the perpetrators were at best a handful and should not be used as a yardstick to judge S African.
its better to be deported than killed in a mob, right?? such things should not happen at all!!! be it in SA or anywhere else
If it does no harm why embark on it?
when I say , it does no harm, I meant, that wont be a bad idea.

This jungle justice does not have the tacit approval of the SA govt or does it? So a few boneheads went on rampage and our response is to boycott SA goods?
you didnt answer the question earlier, are you saying there are no rogues in the US/uk?

back to your question, did you say a few bone heads? 25 ppl are already dead!!! those are ppl's parents , brothers, sisters,

boycotting SA goods for a few days will do no harm,
Foreign Affairs › Re: Boycott South Africa! Boycott Dstv, Mtn Etc! See What They Did To Your Brothers! by FBS: 2:45pm On May 19, 2008
@Tornadoz
While the "cream" of our society emigrate to the US/UK, the "agberos" "419ers" "Drug peddlers" and their ilk goes to South Africa. Is common knowledge that with less than N70,000, you'll be in SA via Namibia. Does it surprise anyone that the worst Nigerians head towards SA rather than USA?. Its a shame we Nigerians have not changed 50yrs after independence, its all right if we do it to other Africans but anathema if reciprocated decades later. Truth is we did the
same thing to Ghanaians in the eighties. 7million of them were forcefully removed by Shagari. SA is host to millions of Zimbabweans, Nigerians etc,
Anyway this thread would have had more substance if this article was posted by any one other than Texazzpete or the odious duo of davidylan/4play. For people who have patented "Bring em down syndrome", to be shedding crocodile tears is laughable.
You have to be a complete slowpoke to think S Africans hate us because we're Nigerians, and you get an unmitigated "No" from me if you ask me if Nigerians deserve these maltreatment from S Africans.
so what point are you making, that SA going on killing people because some Ghanaians were forcefully removed some years ago, ?

people get deported everyday, but not this jungle justice metted on people?

let the law of the land prosecute those 419ers, ageros, etc, if and when caught or do you mean to say there are no agberos or drug pushers or 419ers in the US/Uk?

na wetin be your point??

Foreign Affairs › Nigerians, Others Killed In S’africa Riots by FBS(op): 7:40am On May 19, 2008
Could this be true, I wonder who are those carrying out this muderous act and what the heck is the Nigerian government/people doing about this?

Breaking News

Many Nigerians were reportedly killed in South Africa yesterday following fast-spreading riots against foreigners in the country.
Also, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported yesterday that at least five people have been burnt or beaten to death in Johannesburg as violence against immigrants spreads.
A Nigerian who lives in South Africa told THISDAY yesterday that the xenophobic attacks were launched against Nigerians while many of them were either in church or on their way to church.
The areas where Nigerians were most affected are Hillbrow and Yeovil as the riots spread to the Johannesburg city centre.
Many Nigerians were said to have been dragged out of buses and beaten to death while the security agents appeared not to intervene.
More than 50 other people were taken to hospital in the suburb of Cleveland with stab or bullet wounds, the BBC reported, noting that the trouble began a week ago in the sprawling township of Alexandra.
Immigrants from neighbouring African countries were set upon by men with guns and iron bars chanting "kick the foreigners out" as terrified Zimbabweans, Mozambicans and Malawians fled to the safety of the local police station and to another township, Diepsloot.
They were then attacked there as well - shacks were burnt down and shops looted. The violence has since spread to other areas.
BBC’s correspondent in Johannesburg said the attacks have prompted soul searching among South Africans.
Nelson Mandela, former president, had expressed his concern, saying the country must not descend into what he called "destructive divisiveness".
Since the end of apartheid, millions of African immigrants have poured into South Africa seeking jobs and economic sanctuary.
But they have become scapegoats for many of the country's social problems - its high rate of unemployment, a shortage of housing and one of the worst levels of crime in the world.

Cardiff vs Portsmouth

this match promises to be interesting and I bow my hat for Harry R.

Kanu has indeed come of age, but he is nothing but an intelligent player, he doesn't run with ball, the ball runs/walk with him.

He should have scored after some sublimes skills with the ball but the goal post saved Cardiff.

Goal, guess who just did it, ? Kanu!!! he has fired Portsmouth up with a similar tap-in after a blunder from the cardiff keeper from Utaka's cross.

its 5 mins into halftime,

Car (0) - Port (1)- Kanu '37min
