Seriously women should be given period breaks because period cramps are no damn joke, i have witnessed that a lot with bae.

Crazy mood swings, she almost feel like breaking down and cry sometimes.. i spend the better part of the evenings getting junk foods for her, massaging and just holding her which even pisses her off all of a sudden cus of the mood swings grin

seriously the pain is excruciating for the women who have it and i am fully in support of "period breaks" cus i don't see how anybody can focus and work when you feel like your stomach has been rumpled like a piece of paper.
jeez!! shocked You dey try oh hian! Nice guy cheesy

that's serious....i guess am lucky then. grin i know someone who has to go to the clinic to take injections for her pains.

yeah you are right.....

Okay i saw this somewhere, so what are your views? ladies what do you think? personally am in between, do you think its necessary for just two days?

Can this work in this our country Nigeria?

ladies! what do you think? Guys you are free to contribute... honest opinion
HealthOpinion: Should Women Be Entitled To Menstrual Leave? by fearlesschicken(op):
As of 1 March, women in Anhui province in east China – who suffer from painful periods and produce a doctors note to say so – will be entitled to up to two days menstrual leave a month. [/b]And while this might sound pretty radical to us, Anhui province isn’t the only, or even first, place to introduce menstrual leave. In fact, it’s already available in at least two other Chinese provinces (and there’s even been talk of making it a country-wide thing) and other Asian countries including Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. But is menstrual leave a good thing? Should it be a universal right for working women?

We debate the pros and cons…

In favour of menstrual leave, multimedia fashion journalist Issey Brunner: ‘Periods are a natural process for all women, but some ladies – like me – get them way worse than others. I spend two days a month feeling like I’ve been punched in the stomach and with crippling cramps in my back and legs so bad I can hardly walk I can tell you, it’s no fun at all. Currently, I don’t call in sick when it’s that time of the month, but to be honest, I’d like to. There’s no doubt that my severe period pains interfere with my daily life, and there are times when I find it hard to focus at work because the pain’s so excruciating.

‘But let’s be clear, this is only for two days a month, and in no way means I’m less well-equipped for the working world in general (which some people would argue), it just means there’s a couple of days a month when it would be best if I was at home. It would be great to know that we lived in a world where employers, occupational health and HR departments were more understanding and genuinely tried to cater for the needs of each individual. Period cramps (known medically as dysmenorrhea) often aren’t taken seriously as a legitimate illness (mainly because they’re seen as a natural part of being a woman), but the pain is real, and not being able to cite severe period pains as the reason you’re calling in sick adds to the burden.

‘Legal menstrual leave would not only be great for women like me on a practical level, but it would also help to break the taboo around periods and help us all speak openly and honestly about our bodies. How can that be a bad thing?’

Against menstrual leave, news editor Siam Goorwich: ‘I’ll be honest, I’m pretty fortunate when it comes to periods. Yes they’re a hassle and a logistical nightmare, but most of the time the pain is nothing that can’t be sorted with a couple of paracetamol and chocolate brownie. Lucky, I know. But that’s not the reason I’m against menstrual leave. I love a duvet day as much as the next person, but I just don’t think menstrual leave is realistic, workable or great for the image of women in the workplace.

‘I hardly ever take sick days (even when I’m a snotty mess and no one wants to sit next to me in the office), and most people I know are the same. Yes we’re entitled to a day off, but in reality no one wants to be seen as being weak or unwilling, so we all soldier on dosed up on cold and flu tabs and stinking of Olbas Oil, and I can’t see how menstrual days will be any different. Then there’s the negative impact that menstrual leave could have on the way women are viewed and treated in their workplace. Obviously anyone discriminating against women who chose to takes menstrual leave would be wrong (or women in general just because they had the right to menstrual leave), but that wouldn’t stop it happening.

‘Severe period pains are awful and the pain and distress they cause shouldn’t be diminished, but I also don’t believe they should be treated any differently than any other chronic illness.’

Christianity EtcRe: Is It Okay For A Lady To Wear This To Church? (photos) by fearlesschicken: 5:52pm On Feb 19, 2016
That's what you get when living a world like ours where almost everything is sexualised....our ancestors wore even more revealing clothes back in the day and no body bath an eyelid.

If most men didn't view ladies as sexual objects, the concept of women wearing revealing or not revealing clothes won't be an issue to discuss.

SanMinato:
Yes Bro. sis grin Get a permanent sd card for your phone. 32gb will do, then format it as internal and migrate your data from the phone's internal memory to your new internal sd card. That should recover all your data to your SD card.

If your phone doesn't bring up USB options when connected to pc then check if it's charging. If it's not then you need to change the cord. If it's charging but doesn't bring up options then remove the cord and plug it back in. If it persists then change USB port. If it still persists, you can try a different cord.
thanks for that, 32gb? for what? Any particular reason for 32gb?

dont worry i used the steps you mentioned above for not connecting to pc and it worked cheesy

just remaining my internal memory that i need to get.....that rooting is not for goody too shoes like moi. grin
PhonesRe: Infinix HOT 2 (x510) Official Thread by fearlesschicken: 2:11pm On Jan 27, 2016
SanMinato:
No you won't be able to use the main internal memory to store things again. The phone now decides what it stores in the internal memory. Things like apps and app data and cache gets stored in the internal memory. It's entirely at the discretion of your phone. The only memory partition you'll have available to use as you want will be your SD card. The phone can even decide to store some newly installed apps like games and their data in your SD card for you so that it can save some space in the internal memory. In short, the phone sees your newly formatted sd card as part of its architecture, it belongs to it now. And you can't even use the SD card in any other device or pc without formating it to the acceptable (vFAT) system (because the phone had to format it as ext4 partition to make it internal).

Android Marshmallow turned a lot of focus to security of data and privacy, because it's a hot issue in the western countries. That's why we're having all these issues now. Most of us really don't care too much about privacy issues but the rest of the world does, and they're the ones who make the phones so we can't complain too much.

Whenever you remove the SD card (the one you formated as internal), the phone will keep reminding you to put it back in (because it now recognizes it as it's own). If you put the memory card in a new device, you'll have to reformat it and that means losing all your data. So it's adviceable to back up the data in the SD card while it is still in your phone using a PC. Even if you insert a different memory card in your Hot 2, it will ask you if you want it as internal or portable. If you choose internal it will wipe everything on it and format it as ext4 such that you can only access it when it's in your phone. If you choose portable then it will leave the SD card for you as it is but will keep reminding you to put back your old sd card.

It's a bit of an inconvenience but I've learned to live with it. I've adjusted my expectations to the new reality and to be honest, I'm kinda liking it because I hardly remove my sd card from my phone at all. And it's nice to know that nobody can access the contents of your card even if they remove it from your phone.
interesting.....i don vex before but your words made sense. going to read it up later though

God bless you guy.....i would follow everything you have said. and get back to you on it.

that means that i have to just get a permanent sd card for the phone only right?

are you very certain that all the files on the internal memory that has gone missing or hidden can be restored back with the use of a memory card?

btw i tried connecting my phone to my laptop and i couldnt find any usb options......how do i go about it? please

We live in a male dominated society,it is expected that chess itself is part of such.
Ladies category different from male category in chess.
Why do we have a world chess champion and a world woman chapimon it doesn't make any sense!
Why?
Oh yeah males are more hard wired than women when it comes to chess. -said by a world famous Gm
A male beats a female its normal, a lady beats a male. He probably allowed her to win.

Why is it of interest to me? Lol that's shouldn't be a concern to you.

You check it up on google yourself and you would see many articles on it.

1. Just because someone says i am something that didnt come out of my keyboard does not mean i should be persecuted for it. Giyazz no doubt over exaggerated what i do now and used to do on here.

2. I saw this thread late before my closing time i work and decided to do a quick run through of all the voice notes and give a quick rating. if you check the times of my posts you would notice they were between 4:30 - 5:30pm. Who wants to stay at work on the 29th December to be on nairaland? I was only supporting the nice initiative of a thread by downloading all the voice Notes and rating.
The fact that i didn't give an 'expert' view on the voice notes means i should not rate how i wish to? If you go to auditions, you will get a yes or a no in most cases so why is me giving a rating to cut things short a problem or should be disregarded? Its like choosing which votes to accept and which to reject in a poll because its convenient.

3. I believe none of you is getting paid for this and most of you just want to have fun and see what comes out of it. Keep that mindset and don't expect much, see it as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

4. Unless i read the rules of the thread wrongly, it said "Upload a VN of yourself singing, and let us rate, (it didnt say give an expert opinion). Lets have Fun Fun Fun". .So why so serious?
1. Okay my comment was based on his comment, so I appologize for that

2.Please read my comments well, like I stated above my comment was based on what the op said about you been experienced and all. If he hadn't made that comment I wouldn't have spoken about the rating bit. Btw I never said you should give an expert view and please I understand the whole situation of things. Abeg don't lie! Which audition have you seen where by they just say yes and no for the performer? At least even a one line statement is made even after the yes or no. We understand that you were at work and all no one said it isn't relevant, try to understand my view point was made based on a statement by your friend.

3.Yes we know, also keep it in mind that apart from having fun some other people here are using this medium to try to improve and get better in their various singing career.

4. Please you are twisting my words oh, here you go with the expert opinon stuff. Like I said so undecided when you rate something at least expert in your words or non professional. It is expected that you make a comment that would at least in a slight way be benefical to the person who is been rated. Fun or not fun its the normal thing. As a lot of efforts have been put into it.

I didn't mean to insult you and all but I just had to reason all this thing out.

Hope its all clear?

What did he actually do wrong?
its simple check his posts

eg

okay. 7/10

you can sing 8/10

average voice 6/10

in the case of neph don't spoil the darn song 3/10

please in all this where is the constructive criticism? what is the basis for the rating given above? how would you just give a rating with no justifiable reason or even an encouragement to help the singers with their voices?

And you believe that is fair and the singers should just accept because he is well known and experienced?

how would you feel if you were to watch X factor and after a performance Simon cowell the judge says 'okay 3/10 Next!" without any constructive criticism to let the performer know what went wrong. Be honest how would you view Simon? would you tell the performer to accept such because simon is an experienced person? of course not! You would say he's too harsh or wicked esp. if the performer performed well according to your own judgement. You would probably appreciate his comment more if he were to give reasons for is low rating and not base it on him being experienced and whatever.

Do you now get the gist?

And the TV is one of the biggest music station in Africa. You should be humble, stay calm and accept criticism or correction. A verdict from Lalaboi is better than mine o. Don't play with that fact.

lalaboi, abeg you fit rate me join? wink cheesy
okay so because he is the number one music blogger and what not he should then come up on a public forum and rate people however he likes without any proper criticism? or even a strong constructive criticism to at least show that he is well experienced in music?

please spare us the bull crap and say the truth. just rating without any proper analysis and we should accept because he's a respected musician or whatever that's just plain silly.

We wonder why the music industry is messed up when we have people who reason this way. It is very sad indeed
