Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin suggested on Sunday that Americans will have to pay the government back for any payroll tax reduction unless President Donald Trump is reelected.

In an interview on FOX, host Chris Wallace noted that the president’s latest executive action on COVID-19 financial relief is “not a tax cut.”

“It’s a payroll tax suspension,” Wallace explained. “Isn’t there a danger that a lot of businesses won’t pass these saving through to workers because they’re going to hold on to the money because at some point, according to this executive action by the end of the year, those payroll taxes are going to be have to be paid anyway?”

“Well, the president wanted to do a payroll tax cut,” Mnuchin replied. “We could do the payroll tax deferral. He’s going to go to the American people and tell them that when he’s reelected, he will push through legislation to forgive that so, in essence, it will turn into a payroll tax cut.”

Falwell is a key figure in the evangelical Christian community, and helped garner support for President Trump during his campaign.

The Liberty University president has apologized for the photo, but said that it was all in good fun.

“I’ve apologized to everybody,” Falwell said in an interview this week with a local radio station located in Lynchburg, Va.

Falwell said that the woman in the photo was his “wife’s assistant” who was on the trip with them.

“She’s pregnant, so she couldn’t get her pants up,” he said in the interview. “And I had on pair of jeans that I hadn’t worn in a long time so I couldn’t get mine zipped either. And so I just put my belly out like hers.”

The photo has been deleted, but critics have deemed Falwell a hypocrite, citing the Christian university 's rules of conduct, which require “modest” attire for students while on campus.

“If you're running the largest Christian university in America maybe don't put photos of yourself on social media with your pants undone on a yacht - with random women in bad wigs,” Meghan McCain tweeted this week.

The major thing Trump did with regard to coronavirus was ban flights from China, which we are now finding out was ineffective since the virus found other routes. Even then, he failed to acknowledge this could get very very bad even when all the evidence indicated it would be very bad!

Yes Trump banned flights from China around Jan 21st, what about flights from European countries like Italy, Spain, UK epicentre of the coronavirus, which were not banned for almost 2 months. Also taking into consideration U.S. citizens on cruise ships from various parts of the world that came back into the U.S. between Jan and March. So the virus effectively had so many ways by which it invaded mainland U.S.

A federal appeals court dealt a major setback Friday to President Donald Trump’s bid to prevent his former White House counsel Don McGahn from being forced to testify to a House committee.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled Friday, 7-2, that the House has legal standing to use the courts to compel McGahn to appear in response to a House Judiciary Committee subpoena.

But the appeals court left open other legal arguments against the subpoena to McGahn, leaving it unclear when or if the former White House lawyer will actually be hauled before the House panel.

The ruling Friday also left open the issue of what questions McGahn would have to answer. In short, it increased the possibility that the House panel might get to lob questions at McGahn before the November election, but it remains doubtful lawmakers will get much in the way of revealing answers any time soon.
