But in a court filing this week, prosecutors with the district attorney’s office cited “public reports of possibly extensive and protracted criminal conduct at the Trump Organization” and suggested that they were also investigating possible crimes involving bank and insurance fraud.

Deutsche Bank complied with the subpoena. Over a period of months last year, it provided Mr. Vance’s office with detailed records, including financial statements and other materials that Mr. Trump had provided to the bank as he sought loans, according to two of the people familiar with the inquiry.
The bank’s response to the subpoena reinforces the seriousness of the legal threat the district attorney’s investigation poses for Mr. Trump, his family and his company, which in recent years have faced — and for the most part fended off — an onslaught of regulatory, congressional and criminal inquiries.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office suggested on Monday that it has been investigating President Trump and his company for possible bank and insurance fraud, a significantly broader inquiry than the prosecutors have acknowledged in the past.

The office of the district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., made the disclosure in a new federal court filing arguing Mr. Trump should have to comply with its subpoena seeking eight years of his personal and corporate tax returns. Mr. Trump has asked a judge to declare the subpoena invalid.

Starting in 2015, Trump maintained that the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, should be killed and that he would replace it with something better. The problem is that at no time in the 10 years Republicans have tried to undermine the law have they been able to create an alternative.

Out of the 3 main swing battleground states (PA, MI, FL) in the Nov 3 elections, the Trump campaign have allegedly pulled out ads from Michigan last week, rather they are putting resources in other smaller states. These are the states Trump won in 2016 and should win in 2020 to be elected for 2nd term.

In PA, Biden's home state, this is already turned back to blue for Biden. So the only state left is Florida and we know the current situation in that state. Biden is more or less in a tie with Trump, including TX which is already confirmed a purple state. Trump's chances are quite limited for now.

To the 'uncertified' MAGA folks on nairaland, it will take a massive turnaround of mega proportion for Trump to win in Nov. This is well known to him and his campaign, hence his suggestion last week about postponing the election in Nov and giving other excuses about fraud to mail voting.

Reporters also will be kept from the room when the Republican National Committee meets to conduct official party business.
The spokesperson couldn't say whether C-SPAN, the nonprofit public service network, would be allowed to air the proceedings.
