Messy has to be fired too if Barca is to be rejuvenated. Though, it may seem suicidal but it the rational thing to do. If they show Messi the exit door, Barca will definitely struggle for a season or two. As they are doing a comprehensive overhaul, Barca will bounce back and bounce better. I still await the president to tender his resignation. He's a very shameless man, and has been fingered in so many corruption issues since he became president.
