donfortune48: When people say that agreement is agreement, the image below comes to my mind. Why will you rent a car, rough handle it and bring to the owner to fix?
The fact that car owners take responsibility in fixing the car, simply means that how much you make using that said car should concern them. No one should compare this with house rent and Landlords.
The more hrs you spend online making more money, the more likely it is for the car to brake down. And the owner takes responsibility of repairing it from the fixed rental amount while you're smiling with more money in your account.
My own advice to car owners is to find a way to make drivers solely responsible for repairs. Even if it means collecting only 20k/week rental. And before the driver drops the car, he must fix and repaint the car back to the condition it was when he rented it. Good submission! Bravo!!! Thank you very much for this. This has always been my stands... As a matter of fact only 1 of my partner was responsible for 100% repairs and maintenance and God bears me witness his car was well taken care of he can attest to it. Other till today still own me money for some bullets I took for them but I dont come out to say it like my life depends on it. Me I don't driver everyday because I've other things to look out for... Some weeks self I pay the rent from my savings... In fact this topic don tire me. Modify: one major fear is this, the moment you finish fixing owners car they retrieve it the next day... This has happened to me 3 good time with 3 different partners. The one that pained me the most was one dead donkey Camry 02 I rented... That car suffer me like kilode! In fact they sent that car n the owner come from village... I bought tires, spare tire and wheel because the car doesn't have one, didn't electrical work, added money to buy new battery, fix AC, shaft a lot more all with my money... The time car done set owner collect him car. Lol... But you see this life enh! I so much like it... God has never shame me... Today I'm smiling So if I'm to still rent a car from anyone our partnership would have gotten to the end of no return b4 I'll put my 1naira into another man property. Everybody should take care of their own business. |

I am considering coming out tonight though, so if you see a Honda crv in your neighborhood, just know its me. You mean am!? Any Honda crv?

dapotemi: I bought a bankers corolla in Feb 2020, bought it quite cheap, spent about 20k to put it in good shape, total cost is still less than 700k. Please, note that car is manual. dapotemi: All this can be solve only if we have INTEGRITY/HONESTY, which is lacking in most driver/rider. Nigerians always wants to cheat the system...How come almost everything that works perfectly usually becomes an issue once it's introduce here...It's just an integrity issue. If owners can verify trips, am sure rental would not be this low/poor....How come a driver that comes to a negotiating table with NOTHING, albeit maybe one "power horse" ( a driver said he's offering energy) be talking about taking 70% of earned revenue...They said it's partnership. What kind of partnership offers you, a driver that is contributing zero naira, more than 70% of the revenue, to someone that finance the project 100%, to get maybe 30%. Some of you have tried to explained why it is so; but honestly, it is making sense to you because you are a driver now; hopefully if you cross to the other side, the partner side, it wont make sense again...and that is the DISHONEST part of it. I still believe no matter the improvement that is made to the app, if you have this same dishonest people, well it might not just work out.. dapotemi: LOL...Aiye oooooooooooooooooooo....Cheerfulgiver pls have mercy...This is manslaughter...This is inhumane....only a SAN can handle this boy's case.......I pity his rider today, na straight to lagoon......Make i quickly go inform Oba of Lagos. Just imagine this greedy fellow who bought a bank type manual nija used Corolla car for N700k advocating for 70% share of drivers earnings. Are you not a thief? Just imagine!! Allow the young boys that are still young to use their youthful age to hustle.
As a beginner, in banks, pharmaceutical.top corporate organizationThere is no decent job in Nigeria that will allow you to own a Corolla in 2years. Except you involve in shady stuffs.
But here with uber, people are offering that scheme and alot of drivers are achieving it.
Stop been hateful bc you're old, still appreciate God, you married a hardworking woman that put food on your table, whenever car owners retrieve their car from you. Hahaha... Welcome back! Welcome back!! Welcome back!!!You know what? I'm so happy that post woke the dead donkey in you. Where have you been all this while Mr. JP? ndubuisi2021: You didn't state the number of hours you put in to earn 113k from Monday to Thursday. It appears you drove for at least 80hours between Monday to Thursday out of 96hours God made available going by the analogy of earning between 1.5k - 2k an hour. And you also used 30-40k fuel. Always put things in proper perspective.
It's your own choice to work for 20hrs out of 24hrs of the day. Most folks wouldn't. I know for a fact that one can even make 50k a day if you choose to work all day and go to some dead end places in Lagos. I for one, wouldn't. That doesn't mean that I'm lazy. Different strokes for different folks. All these dashboard posting for public consumption, bragging about it and chest beating is highly unnecessary, it's what we already know, the more you stay online, the more you earn, especially when you agree to virtually every trip that comes your way. No hard and fast rule to it. Do you player and let others be. Boss abeg no chuck mouth o make can no rain curses on you oh abeg
