Enter Agric.... You won't even use up to 1m

There are load of informations in the Agric section... Meet a Practical Farmer

Goodluck!!!!
Are you serious? He won't need up to a million on agriculture? In this era of modern and mechanized farming?

What kind of farming are you looking at with less than N1m, is it crop and vegetable cultivation, Horticulture, Fishery, animal husbandry, snailry or what exactly??

Land acquisition and preparation alone how much do you think it will cost? Let alone logistic...

My brother agroprenuer na big man business oh n u need plenty of capital and experience so no talk am at all unless you just want to suffer like those farmers in the village. The reason out forefathers succeeded in farming those days was because they had plenty wives with lots of children, servants and free lands... All of these put together was a good work force to propel their farm. Mind you most of those lands then where virgin land so you don't need any form of fertilizer like we need today. Can you compare the quality of food those days with today? No!

Unless you want to plant just vegetables like Ugu(ponkins) or ewedu or waterleaf or efo on a plot of land then you can say less than a million should be enough... Vegetables other than that on a large scale will definitely cost you a lot of money.

This is the truth and nothing but the truth.

That innoson connect looks like Korope with AC.. apart from the new car smell, the car looks frail and fragile.

That car doesn't have a second hand value, and you cant carry 3 people at the back to sit comfortably.

That car might be good for private use but I dont think it can withstand the pressures of Ehailling.

I could be wrong tho, but my 2cents.
You're 100% correct. na small tin him take big pass picanto.

No client will wants you to carry them on that car to Akure or Benin at all.

Most drivers wont make it pass 6months on Bolt to low rating... Is it not bolt riders that will want you to carry 6passengers with loads? Well it's uber shall so they may last longer but one thing is certain, most riders won't like it for a 2nd ride.

ok sir, I started reading the thread from page 1 yesterday, I'm currently on page 7. Thanks
Young man you should be busy doing your final year thesis and reading to have the best score in your final exams not reading from page 1 of the thread.

C"mon menh! You'll be a graduate in few months think big menh... There's no dignity being an uber driver bro... That 2m you say you have think of what to pump it into and in 5yrs you'll be standing with fellow CEOs rather than being an uber driver... You're still young, why the hurry to make money? You can even proceed for a master's degree with that money and if you search well you'll get scholarship to do your masters abroad and that money you have can help support as well... Save and add to that 2m you have... NYSC you can still save to make that money 3m... How much do you think you need to travel to UK or Canada?

2023 is just around the corner, the dollar will not for ever remain high and government policies will definitely change as soon as this government leaves.

Think! Think!! Think!!! Menh.

In case you come back with attack like one newbie did some pages back I'll just fold my hand and be laughing.

But its amazes me how our young graduates who are supposed to be thinking of how to become an entrepreneur or go further their education to become something great in life (for those who have the resource and sponsorship) are thinking of becoming a uber driver. I wont be surprised the king of the ant will advice the young man to buy a Corolla and start the hustle right away.

I just cant imagine with will become of this country in another 20yrs time.

Shit happens brov...water under the bridge.
Assuming good job was done by the mechanics, then u have replaced/repaired almost everything in that car. Selling it now as it is will put icing on the lose for u but if u fix the little that is remaining I believe u can sell it for a more valuable amount or use it to make money on ehailing.

My advise for u is to look for a good but economical mechanic to manage that car for u. The items u worked on aren't out of place but the amount u used in fixing them.

You are at the verge of beginning to enjoy the car, don't let it be a case of the sugar cane destiny.

I know how one can be totally irritated about a car and wants to dispose it, if that's not the state where u r, I will advise u do d little that's left and sit back and enjoy the benefit either as a source of income or capital for that other business.

Catalyst isn't that important, most tokunbo cars of its age don't have working catalysts so don't stress on that.
In that note sir can you kindly buy off the said car from him at a more reasonable price than the amount offered to him?

Have you ever had experience with a problematic car before?

Bros abeg leave the guy make him sell off the car... Mind you the debate is not weather the car is even problematic or not but weather he should sell to invest on his business or repair and focus on uber. But revelation has it that the car is problematic... Again, its the 2007 Camry with engine factory fault notorious in oil shortage... That same car is also bad when it comes to shaft issue... All these he pointed out in his post... You are a veteran in this hustle naaa baba so you suppose give profined advice.

Yes I know how difficult it is to let it go but bro I've been there b4 so trust me when I tell you to sell it off immediately... You'll be glad you did.

Don't listen to any advice to ever buy a naija used car if you can afford a tokunbo go for it. It gives a great deal of peace of mind.

Use Uber/Bolt services or other cheaper alternatives to move around for the now while you invest the proceed from the sales of the car into you business... In a few years to come like I said earlier with dedication, hard work and reinvestment you'll have plenty of money to buy even a tear rubber car.

Forget about Uber/bolt business guy... It's another man's idea, focus on your own idea/business with time it will grow to compete with Uber/Bolt and you'll be mentioned among CEOs and not among highest earning drivers, which among the two do you prefer?

Good luck bro.

Ok, I just uninstalled the audiomack app on my phone last night and I will not be installing it again. Why?

I noticed the app is a satanic app, no matter how many times I playback a particular worldly or circular DJ-mix, album or song they don't border touching it but on 3 different occassions I've downloaded some nice gospel music- Songs, album, DJ mix and most times I play these songs over and over again some times all through the day and maybe 2-3days in a week... The next week audiomack deletes it from my playlist and offline songs, no matter how much I tried to re-download it I won't see it again.

This made me delete the app from my phone and I just dropped a review on play store now too.

But sir, did you truly pass One-way?
With the ugly experience I encountered early this year? No!

You know coming from Oshodi towards the MMAI road, if you enter the expr through boladale you can access the MMAI rd easily joining in b4 7&8 b/s But if you enter through other links like Afariogun you won't be able to join the Oworo-Apapa expr Rd again. That's how they've done it now...

So now, it was an unfortunate day for me as construction workers where busy constructing the pavement so there was no other way to join the MMAI Rd unless through that slope that leads under the interchange and then back to the MMAI Rd, while and other interchange takes you back to the Oworo-Apapa Rd and maybe back to Oshodi/Anthony for those going that way. So I tried using that slope leading towards the MMAI Rd that was it ooh... No one-way road sign, nothing at all and as an experience driver and an someone that has understanding of road network couple with an engineering background there is no way you will ever argue with me that slope towards that MMAI Rd is a one-way.

You no police are always on that path, na so everywhere burst o... Unfortunately for me my rider said she was cold so I wind down and wasn't expecting anything of such at all because i was so sure that road is not one-way... Men...those idiots messed up my day. Na 25k I take settle dem collect my motor after much back and front... I just saw it that non of them are reasonable to talk with... Oya na make una charge me to mobile court na, them no gree... They where just dancing around...

2days later a man called on talk radio to complain about that same rd how police are cashing out on that rd with no one-way sign whatsoever...

I gave up more on that very day Nigeria.

200k+? For a new business? Are you sure about this?
With how much capital?
How much do you think you can sell off your car?
How long will it take you to breakeven on this business?
And which location was this study carried out?
How many locations did you considered for the business in your study?
Did you considered Lagos as a location in yiur studies? What was the outcome compared to other states you studied?

If coming out with 200k+ after a good study and you're very sure the study is good then let me help you with a little data from my own experience for the uber business in Lagos.

Since you've your own car...
You'll have to fix it up to suit uber standard... Budget N100-150k plus minor painting.

Value the car at your intended sales price+amount spent to bring it up to uber standard.

Financial forecast for a month for newbie like you is as follows...

First 1-3months
expect 150-200k in the first month
300k in the 2nd month
then exponential increase as your experience increases

NB: this maybe far less if you didn't grow up or ever lived in lagos b4 now. So expect mayne half the price because change of environment and settlement will be your major setback in the 1st 6months.

After the first 6months you should be able to net 300-400k monthly provided all conditions remains constant as with a tok car.

Monthly routine maintenance should be as follows:
*Servicing after 2000miles... I'm sure you're already using palm oil for servicing all these while you've had the car so peg change of oil at every 2000miles. Topping of oil will depends on your car because there's a bad review about your car engine. So be ready for it now that it will be used for commercial purpose.
*routine repairs due to tear and wear, budget 30-50k in every 3months. And 50-70k in every 6months should there be a need for change of shocks absorbers.

Hazard expenses:
For other road uses accident related issues, LASMA, Police, anti-one-way police and others(marina and Lagos mainland trips), budget 50-100k in your 1st year.

What else I'm I missing... See how you can put this data together to make your study and decision.

Good luck!!
My understanding is this, if a new business that has the potential to net 200k monthly on study will definately net at least 50- 100k monthly in the first 1yr calender in real event...with experiemce, reinvestment of profit and dedication such a business will have the capacity to employ over 10 staffs after 5yrs... This will open you to a lot of other opportunities and expansion...

On the other hand... No matter how big you grow driving with uber for 5yrs you will never have More than 5cars even if you do you can't be bigger than moove who is still a partner to uber.

In a nutshell, build your own business. Uber/bolt is already an establish company you can never be bigger than them under partnership but your business can be bigger than them in the next 10yrs if well planned and structured.

I say okay u will have to wait for me to get mine.

He now said his bank has started this nonsense again, pls let me have the account number again. He sent it and showed me debit...this time his alert did not disappear grin

Make sure your money has been sent before u let rider go. Seeing the money may take a while in some cases, but make sure the money has been sent sha.
Can you imagine! I just feel like punching that guy right now... What confidence and impetus! With the attempt to steal even when he has the money to pay!!! That's to say it's not the the first time he's done or tried it with naive drivers... Oooh... Why I no dey meet these kind riders again self...rubbish!

Who was the guy that shared an experience with a guy who tried to paddled drugs through him again... If I where the one after I'd scolded him I'll tell "okay no worry I go deliver am for you but next time no try am again o" add something to the fare. Start trip either call my commission contact or police friend or better still dump the drugs into a waste bin on my way out". End trip when I'm.far gone report him with pictorial evidence to bolt/uber with his house and apartment No.

We need to also assist the police to erase these stupid people out of our society.

But a second thought again, while trying to do all of these one can get into serious trouble so one is left with no choice but to just play along or play smart.

Your sef no sure of wetin u they post.
Few companies pay salary.
Most of them pay 5-10k per trip, so na if u strong to be doing back to back u make money. Which kain performance bonus
Even drivers that own their Buses or sienna and go to different parks to load get only get a percentage of total capacity. Out of there they will buy fuel, repair car, what do u think is left? Maybe 10or15k
Lag to Abj, PH, Cal or East drivers can make upto 20k on deliveries per trip.
Go to Yaba or Ojuelegba and ask
Hmm... Well I don't have first hand information on this subject so let me rest my case but what I already posted up there are some facts open to verification. So going forward I say in mama rad's voice "what ever you say you're right".
