This for me is a very unwelcomed news. It shows that we are still thinking backwards. This is an area that could create thousands of real job's that will employ people and further boost the economy, but our government would rather go back to this backward idea of shutting down businesses and restricting movements in the name of sanitation. The government should create a robust environmental clean up arm, employ people, and pay them through reasonable taxation of businesses. I'm sure the business owners would definitely be happier to pay a token, than to be asked to shut down their businesses. Besides most businesses are already illegally making such payments to louts, all the government has to do is to create an effective channel of payments and monitoring. |
Well, chatgpt say's D the rhino will win. Reasons being that it has a powerful weapon in a long horn that can be as long as 5 feet. It is also by far the biggest and heaviest, with weight 1,000 kg, whereas the other's only weigh between 100- 400 kg. So they definitely cannot have a successful tussle with it. Then it also has skin that is as tough as an armor, meaning that it would be very difficult to get it injured let alone killing it. And lastly it is extremely aggressive, in other words with has the hottest temper and is highly territorial. So with all these combined, no other animal in the list can even try to stand it. They could only try if they all gang up on it, which would not happen in this scenario. Then the second in line would be the bear, then the lion and the gorilla. |
Such can happen to anyone. |
The solution's to Nigeria's problems are not rocket science, even the politicians know them. The only problem is that non of them is interested in solving the problems. When their tenure is over and they are out of office, then you will hear them say the most sensible thing they could not do when in office. It's always like that unfortunately. |
CyrusVI:You should go and tell that to the 20 year olds heading departments and corporations out there. While the poor man's 16 year old who has finished secondary school will be waiting to turn 18, the rich man's child would have been sent abroad to start university. Coupled with the delays of actually passing jamb and gaining admission and the incessant strikes that means that they should be looking at finishing school by 25 and above. By then, the person who went abroad would have finished first and second degree and gained work experience, putting them way ahead. How is that good for anyone? |
It's all just backward thinking. Instead of creating more universities and creating more employment opportunities for people and at the same time increasing the capacity of the system to cater for the growing need for higher education, they are indirectly telling parents to prepare themselves to send their children abroad for university education so that they the politicians will not have anything to do here in the educational institutions. At the end of the day, more and more people will be needing dollars and the value of naira will keep going down and the suffering continues. In the end, they just don't know what they are doing. Na anywhere belle face. |
Eat a lot of pepper and raw ginger you'll be fine. |
In your mind everyone understands Yoruba language abi? |
I'm also having issues. Either it's showing development issues or they fail to send the code that I need to register. |
So what happened with the clothes you wanted to iron? were they ironed? |
I am not a lawyer, but I know that receipts basically serve as a proof for something. So as long as the WhatsApp message has all the details that can proof what it is meant for, then it should be valid. But just as it is for paper receipt, you have to make sure that you do not lose it. Besides I've also seen these foreign courts they show on TV, they can even use text message chat's as evidence to proof a case. |
Mine, my MTN had not been working at all for 2 days. Then yesterday when I complained to my neighbours, she asked if my phone was 4g, I replied yes. She then said that her's is 3g and it's working. So I changed my phone's settings from 4g to 3g and it's been working since. |
MetalJigsaw:Please my pi kyc has been in review for weeks now. How can I get them to approve me? |
Ifakiland:Congrats man. |
Ifakiland:Wow! How did it happen? I'm in the same kind of rot you experienced right now. |
Well, I can't say that I am surprised seeing comments of a lot of person's in support of this. It's practically expected. But for me, all it shows is backward thinking. In a world where we have 20 and 21 year olds as ceo's and director's of companies, here someone who probably has raised kids who gained admission before 18 is saying that young school leavers should have to wait until they are 18 before they can get admission. Are we going forward or backward? Everytime they are talking about skills acquisition, what is the university meant for? For certificate acquisition? As far as I know, the university is supposed to be the foremost skills acquisition center, but instead of the government ensuring that everything is put in place so that whatever skill a student was supposed to get in school is effectively acquired, they are busy looting the country and talking about skills acquisition. It's all backward thinking at the end of the day, and I wonder when all of these will end. |
Na WA o... As far as I know, at least three or four other person's died in the boat mishap, but Nigerians don't bloody care about those ones. It is only Jnr Pope that everyone is making noise about. Obviously, if he had not died, then this very serious issue would have been treated as a very minor one and everyone would simply had moved on. Is this not hypocrisy? |
All this ranting all over the internet but without asking the right questions. People are asking why people travel by boat without vest. But we're not asking if we have enough vest's for all those who travel by boat in the country. Are these vest's readily available? And if they are, are they affordable enough for those in the sector to acquire enough for all their passengers. The truth is that most jetty you will visit across the country will only have very few vest's available and if someone has somewhere important to go, then they are practically forced to take the risk. So at the end of the day, it's not about making too much noise about this incident, instead we should be pressing for an overhaul of the transport system to avoid all of these again in the future. But being a Nigerian living in Nigeria, I know that at the end of the day nothing will be done. |
How much? |
Don't immediately get the police involved. Just tell them that you will involve the police if they do not tell you about your daughter in 24 hours. If they don't tell you by then, then you can involve the police. |
I must say that I am baffled by the fact that I see many people on this platform applauding this bad news. In 2023, someone is bringing up this very backward idea and people are applauding it? So the entire FCT should be kept on a stand still for sanitation? In other words, businesses cannot open and people cannot move around. How many real cities in the whole wide world still do this? They talk of job creation which they are unable to do, and fail to see that waste management and disposal is a big industry that could employ thousands of people. What are they doing with the taxes that they are collecting that they cannot channel that money into employing people to keep the FCT clean. All these just goes to show that there is truly no hope of a better Nigeria with these people in charge. |
It's a good idea. Develop it. |

BombAttack:Have you earned money and successfully withdrawn it from the site? There are many site's like that that make people waste time and data and at the end of the day, when you apply for withdrawal they will not pay. |
My own question is why would so many governors and other high profile people be pleading on her behalf? Government appointments are not permanent, so why was it so difficult for her to step aside. Now she's writing about it, this goes to show how pained she is. Besides her tail is only about what others told her, not what she was directly told. So it may as well all be false. |
His wife's will prevailed in his mum's situation even though that is not what he wanted. What makes him think he has any say now that it concern's the woman's mother? She will obviously bring her mother home whether he likes it or not and nothing will happen because she is in charge. Period. |
