DeepSight:

I said what I said. Do not twist my words. I did not accuse you of any crime neither did I say you support crime. I said you are whining about safety while you also argued that divorcing a serial killer is a sin. And I inquired how safe that is, since you are crying about safety. Is that a lie?
Go to the post about divorce and challenge my opinion on divorce there if you are sane and proud of yourself.

Henceforth, anybody on boat ride with no lifejacket should spend a night in jail

Back to the topic, shutdown the school immediately and arrest the teacher.

All this ranting all over the internet but without asking the right questions. People are asking why people travel by boat without vest. But we're not asking if we have enough vest's for all those who travel by boat in the country. Are these vest's readily available? And if they are, are they affordable enough for those in the sector to acquire enough for all their passengers. The truth is that most jetty you will visit across the country will only have very few vest's available and if someone has somewhere important to go, then they are practically forced to take the risk. So at the end of the day, it's not about making too much noise about this incident, instead we should be pressing for an overhaul of the transport system to avoid all of these again in the future. But being a Nigerian living in Nigeria, I know that at the end of the day nothing will be done.

there's a guy on Instagram that said the death came as a result of coalition between junior boat and another boat..

however my question is why on earth will the boat collide with another boat, is it that the guys on junior boats we are not looking or what distracted them....?
It could be that this unnamed boat is a baby hippo swimming accross the niger

It is basic common knowledge that when going on a boat, especially this types of small speedboat, you wear a life jacket.
I don't think I've ever been on a boat in my whole life, but when I entered one for the first time a few days ago, this is for the first time in my life, me as a full grown millennial man, instinctively I knew that I should & would wear those safety jackets.
Even if you can swim very well, you still wear Jackets for other major reasons, when in these kinda boats.
On another hand, This picture takes one on a long journey mentally, a mental journey about our educational system.
An institution that is supposed to revolve around education, knowledge & information, does not see or even know how fundamentally basic it is that children for that matter should will be wearing a life jackets.
Amidst other things some of Which I typed up there, this came to my mind all in very few seconds.
This is a conversation we will have about Nigeria schools... Nigerian private schools are very very poor, even the above average ones, and sometimes upper class schools are quite poor.

Or just Maybe there is a very genuine reason for them on that Boat like that, Just maybe... I hope so.
