The Power Of One More! Faith becomes easy when you have a reference. Your reference has a way of stiring up your believe to hold on and never let you. what is faith? Faith is like ordering a food you have never tasted before and just hoping it will taste nice. Reference is putting your faith to work and having this strong assurance that because the food tasted nicely, it will still taste good when you order one more plate. The movie Hacksaw ridge, " when Desmond kept asking the Lord for one more solider he could saved and after saving one he went back again and again not minding he was at risk of losing his life too". Faith is stronger and strengthen when you think of all the miracles God has done for you and all you could do is go back again and again asking him for more. Truth is you can never get enough of God because each day is a blessing. If he did it today, get ready because he will do it tomorrow. Have this idea that same God who saw you through your birth, through school, will definitely see you through that marriage, through getting that Job, business, contract. Are you tired of hoping, just take your mind back to the last biggest thing God did for you, did you expect it, he will do this just keep asking and believing. Remember your convictions is who you are, what you believe is what works for you. Keep asking, never stop believing and do not doubt because there is power in that one more blessings you are holding on too and God never disappoints. |

Most of the time we spend our days hating ourselves, hating the reason behind our existence, we despise the fact that we are born into the family we find ourselves in, we hate the idea of us being pushed around and been ordered, we even sometimes feel like giving it all up, we just want to die and forget we ever existed. Money or no money we hate ourselves for some certain things and we wish we never knew or had the idea of doing what we did. I feel this way sometimes too.. After despising yourself do you really get a solution? Sadly I can say NO. Just like Paul said " I HAVE FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT" Arise as well and fight the good fight. You can't fight this good fight by hating your own existence, quit all the negative ideas you have about yourself. Its true that you are not PERFECT but its also true that you can live in PERFECTION. Those precious days you spend isolating yourself and weeping for who you are why not use it to CHANGE your thought pattern and go around your daily activities living like a conqueror. Do not let your negative existence defeat and conquer you. There is a CHAMPION in you. No matter what you go through you would always be better than the dead. Only the LIVING has a HOPE and a BRIGHT FUTURE. LAY IT ALL DOWN AT THE FEET OF JESUS AND LET HIM DO ALL THE WORRYING. I REFUSE TO BE A DISAPPOINTMENT AND A MINUS TO THE WORLD AND SO WILL YOU. REMEMBER THAT IF YOU FAIL YOU GOT NO EXCUSE. THERE IS A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD DON'T GIVE UP. SEEK PEACE AND YOU WILL FIND IT ONLY IN JESUS. happy children's day... |

GIRLS AND THEIR WAHALA! Hello friends it's me Rebecca and this is my dairy. Isn't it funny how your friends who once mocked you for not being at there level suddenly turn around and become envious of you, some will even pick up quarrel with you for no good reason, I know you have an idea of what am talking about because you certainly have found yourself in such boat too. After my incident with Bayo my first toaster who couldn't mutter any sensible word, things quickly change between I and my friends. I guess they assume we were dating because every now and then you would see us together. We were either reading or holding hands walking around the school. At first I took it as a joke even when I heard all this rumours which wasn't particularly true and even if it was true, Wetin concern them self eh! I thought they said I couldn't use my beauty to attract guys, now am doing that they are angry. I vividly recall been confronted by my friends on one occasion about this issue, I just brushed it off...Mehn see me see wahala o! Small Chizzy my PP (Personal Person) shouted and called me a lair telling me to stay off her man, before I could say a word, slap from nowhere don design my face. Gosh!! I dislikes girls who make themselves so cheap, running after boys, I thought she had boyfriends now she dey attack me like bee wey don see prey. Talking about Me and Bayo my Toaster, I really didn't want to date him or any other guy but I do enjoy his company you know, Wetin small babe like me wa do with boy now, what do they have to offer me that I can't afford, Mum and Dad makes sure I lack nothing, na the love or money eh, I know most of you would think am from a very wealthy home, NAH! Not today some other time I would tell you about my background. After that ugly scenario with my friends I decided to get back at them, sometimes I would make Bayo hold me by the waist and we would purposely walk pass my friends. Bayo didn't really know why I was doing this, I guess the dude was beginning to believe I was falling for him, Me Becky fall for this omo Yoruba shy pikin.... Bayo was such a clown, common to hold me by the waist, na big trouble but trust me na, I always have my way around him. Mum often told me that girls were far more smarter than guys, she said girls had the ability of making any guy do what she wants and seriously I have watched mum do that to dad thousands of time and it works just like magic. As time went on, I and Bayo were tagged Romeo and Juliet, some even called us Jack and Rose, even my teachers believed we were actually dating because they have called I and Bayo to ask and when they ask, all I do is laugh which they interpreted to be yes...I wonder can't people just mind there business eh! Must they poke nose in other people's lives. In spite of all the Bayo saga, I never for once slacked in my studies, Infact my grades improved all thanks to Mr loverboy Bayo and Jenny, even as I brilliant reach eh I still dey learn from where Toaster Bayo and Jenny dey. Hmmm! I really do wonder how my story with my toaster Guy would end. He is just so sweet, do I actually give him a chance, please advise me. My final exams as a secondary babe are fast approaching..... Guess what? I and Chizzy the lioness would sit together, I really do wonder why, make she no go strangle me to death ooo because seriously they is no love lost between Chizzy and I after that uneventful show. |
THE VOICE!!! If you could listen carefully there is a still small voice speaking within which just needs to be heard. This voice speaks life and freedom, it's a voice for tomorrow, a voice which needs to be heard and expressed. A voice the world needs to change the history of mankind. This voice could go as far as you can imagine if only you would give it a chance to express itself. How long will you suppress and silent this voice crying out in pains? How long will you! Yes I ask you again how long will you? I know you must be wondering what this voice is? Who owns this silent voice of pains? Well that voice is you. I mean the real you. This voice is your Destiny, it cries out in pain waiting patiently to be heard. Remember the world needs you for who you are and what you can offer it. Success and greatness begins by giving this voice a chance. |
Just felt I should share this short piece... because really thousand has lost their lives as a result of this.... JUNGLE JUSTICE... On a very hot afternoon, the sun was almost roasting my skin out of my body. It was 2pm, I was going to my house from the market. I waited patiently for bus to take me home, while I was waiting, i saw a young man between the age of 30-35years, properly dressed in white shirt stocked into his black plain trouser with a brown belt and brown shoe to complete his systematic arrangement, and i guess he was also waiting for bus, a lot of people were at that spot too. Soon enough, a long motorbus arrived and people starting moving into the motorbus, but then I was walking gently to the bus, admiring the color combination of this young man’s dressing also considering how dusty, dirty and scattered the environment was, with hoodlum (agboro) hanging here and there waiting for buses to come so they will load the bus and collect their normal 50naira. Then all of a sudden, a lady shouted, olé olé, thief, thief, catch am, he steal my money, see am, na thief, you steal my money and you wan enter bus run, before you know it heavy slap from no where landed on his face. What did I do? He asked politely, you be thief the lady replied. Then those hoodlums picked wands of different sizes and started hitting him not minding his appearance. Tears was almost rolling down my eyes considering how dirty Dis guys hitting him and clean and orderly he was dressed. Bernard could not possibly be a thief judging him by appearance and look. Shey na u dy thief ppl property for Dis market?? Today you go see, someone shouted approaching him with Barton. His white was gradually changing color combination with stains of blood from his flesh and before he could understand what is happening, he was already lying helplessly on that dirty ground, and gradually his shirts was flying out from his trouser and cutting down patch by patch. He stole my money, olé, olé, thief, give me my money, she was still lamenting. How much hin still from you madam?? One of the hoodlum asked. My five thousand, this man na thief. Then they searched him and found five thousand naira and small small change, 100naira, 200naira and 50naira,. You see am?? This man na barrawo. The woman shouted. I can explain, please wait let me explain, Bernard pleaded exhaustingly, but the beating only increased because five thousand naira was found in his wallet, they were hitting him so hard that his flesh came out with the sticks as he was gradually going naked. Arrrrh, arrrrh, let me explain, I did not steal her money, Bernard continue to lament as gradually his voice reduced. Arrrrh, arrrh, arrrrh he could nearly say a word when they hit him stone and sticks. Chaii chaii, see fine boy, see how em dress like banker, dy steal. Na wetin fit am, said one woman as she watch from a distance. I get fuel, me I get tyre, if you leave am, him go steal again. Then Bernard was almost naked because, they condemned his cloth on his body and then he was exhausted, I couldn’t help but watch from one end of the road with heavy tears rolling down my eyes. Then I saw dirty people that could not afford 3² meal a day contributing 300niara per litre fuel and tyre. The tyre was placed on his head and body, they poured the fuel on him and then one matchstick was enough to end his life in pain. Arrrrrrrrrrh, Bernard shouted in great pain as he struggled to get up but was exhausted. Those hoodlums turned away one after another as the heat from the fire on Bernard’s body was getting high. Bernard was gradually turning into black smoke and people that watched from distance all went sorrowfully away, Bernard died slowly but painfully. The woman watched how Bernard was dying and she heared someone calling "mummy mummy" she turned and then saw her son junior running towards her and on reaching her he said loudly dragging the crowds attention, "mummy daddy say make I give you this 5000 naira, say him carry am from ur bag. Eyes widened, jaw dropped and someone let out a cry "no be him steal the money oooo" but Bernard was just ash by then. It was 9:00pm that day, Bernard’s wife( newly married with her 3months old baby boy) called her elder sis. Hello Ada, did you say Bernard came to shop today?? Yes, and I gave him five thousand to give to you, is he not back Oh my God, he’s not back. Where has he gone to?? My husband is not like that, he he had never returned this late before. Bernard’s wife replied with her baby in her hand. He will be back there, maybe he branched to see a friend. This is my story. It happens everyday in our country Nigeria. JUNGLE JUSTICE IS NOT THE BEST OPTION, LET’S STOP JUNGLE JUSTICE TODAY AND SAVE LIFE, BOTH THE INNOCENT AND THE GUILTY. I SAY NO TO JUNGLE JUSTICE. From Terry c onye. |

REBECCA'S DIARY: BOY'S PALAVA!! Hello everyone, My name is Rebecca am 15 and this is my dairy. You know that awkward moment when a cute guy walks up to you only to become dumb without being able to express himself, well that is same boat I found myself on this faithful day. At 15 I was regarded by my friends as a novice who couldn't make use of her beauty to attract what she wants, I often wonder what they meant by that until I discovered they were into boy's and men and as for me I was into my books and writing. Less I forget, after what seem to be an endless torture at home with my siblings Mum and dad finally came back home from their retreat. I was more than overjoyed because I knew I messed up all the food stuffs at home. Anyway that isn't my focus today. After mum came back I was so surprised because she gave me serious lectures about guy's and there antics and why I shouldn't have a boyfriend. Her lectures got me wondering, was this what she went to learn for 3days. At a time I thought mum was just being very jealous and envious of my beauty because seriously I was way beautiful than her and after giving birth to 4 cute kids, you really don't expect her to be as charming as she was way back. Now to my story. My friends Chizzy and Jenny often told me stories of how cute guy's chase them and tell them those sweet words, it got me wondering why was my case different eh! Abi I no fine reach, Wetin this babes get wey I no get self. Seriously I went into fasting and prayers o asking Oluwa to send me a toaster, not that I wanted to date any guy but just to experience what it was like to be sweet talked to by a bae..LOL..... at least I should be able to have a story in the nearest future about my first toast... After what seem to be a long wait, the gods of toasting finally heard my pleas and sent this cute hot dude my way.. His name was Bayo, we have been distant friends right from my junior secondary school days. Bayo is what you would call a perfect gentleman, cute, tall and above all he was a brainbox. All the girls in school flocked themselves around this dude but the guy no send them at all, Best friends even fought themselves just to be with this dude still yet no show for them. I seriously do wonder why girls have to make themselves so cheap just to be toasted eh, toasting na by force. It was on a Monday morning Bayo had sent a note to me asking me to wait behind in class after school, I really wondered why but never the less I waited, Guess what? After what seem to be an endless wait Bayo didn't show up and this occured on 3 different occasions, I was so pissed off and mad at this small guy called Bayo, Wetin be him own self. One Friday afternoon I walked up to him, dragged him to a corner and inquired why he wanted to see me. Before I go continue, one secret I discovered is that Nigerian guys are so scared of brilliant ladies especially if she speaks good queens English and trust me I no dy slack for that one.... If you see how Bayo dey fidget and shiver eh, I swear he almost peed on his pants LOL!!! My handsome Bayo could only mutter few words I translated to be Becky I.. I.. love you, be my bae.. chai I no fit vex because this wasn't how I expect my first toasting parole to go... what happened to those sweet lines like, Baby looking into your eyes pierces my heart with a burning desire that I can't hold back anymore.... My dear people you needed to see Bayo spark English...abeg jare let me stop here... Boys and their Love wahala... |
