Good day house please I need help. My pullet (obasanjo) are 19 weeks old. I have given them all the vaccines except 3 in 1. I have 138 birds and the vaccine is so expensive. please farmers that have few birds how do you get like 200 dose of 3 in 1 vaccine?

Please treat the birds with tylodox first before giving them vaccine. Don't give vaccine to sick birds.

Thanks papilo90, but the damage has already been done. I gave a lady #60,000 to help me get 5 crates of Zartech broiler chicks on the 2nd of October with an additional #4500 for transport fare. She promised to deliver to me latest on the 6th of october but she never did. She kept extending the delivery date so I told her to refund my money. Yesterday the 13th of October she finally brought 80 chicks and has not refunded my balance yet. She said they don't do refunds.

Well zartech broilers chicks cost about #200, but u know pprices are unstable, I'm getting their chicks this morning, so u can get to me by evening so I can give u the current price and as well give u their contact.
As for feed I'm not sure of the answer, but one thing I can say is that top feed is one of the best and most trusted feed in the country now,

KEPCOX is a Toltrazuril based drug and manufacturer's dosage says administer for 2 consecutive days! 4 days administration is welcome invite to resistance and may weaken the liver of the birds! Besides you didn't mention that there was an outbreak!

Vaccination schedule for broilers!

Day 1: Glucose, multivitamin, Anti-biotic

Day 2-5: Multivitamin and antibiotic. Sometime you extend it to day 7.

Day 5-7: anticooci(you can use it with antibiotic but no multivitamin)

Day:9 or 10: Lasota and Gumboro at day 12. OR

Day: 9; Lasota and Gumboro at day 14

Day 12 -19: multivitamin or day 14-19 depending on Lasota/Gumboro days you followed.

Day 19: 2nd Lasota and 2nd Gumboro at day 21. (this is not necessary if you are very sure your first vaccine is genuine and every bird took the water).


Day 22&23; mutivitalmin

Day 24-28: anticooci and antibiotic

Day 29 to culling: Water.

Note: The above viccination program are for those keeping their birds for just 7 weeks. so If you are keeping your birds for long, you give them antibiotic and anticooci 2 days in every 12 days and multivitamin 2 days after.

......@ Felshow... making light available for chicks from day old til d 7th day for atleast 22 hours/day to faciliate eating well ,even all night determines how strong ur birds thrive,secondly good feed introduced /effective antibiotics (Megadox&vitalyte),and lastly setting enabling temperature. With these ,if the birds are good breeds,there won't be drastic problems.

Next Time Before You Vaccinate Stop All Antibiotics Treatment 2days B4 And Give Them Multivitamin 2days B4 And 2days After. Thanks tabontabon I still provide them heat. Right now, I have lost 12 chicks. 7 pullets and 5 broilers. I started giving them kepcox today (day 12) and will give them for 4 days. After this, will give multivitamin for 2 days then Neoceryl plus For 3 days. I have both pullets and broilers mixed together and give them topfeed starters. I hope I'm not making a mistake. I will really appreciate a medication and vaccine schedule for pullets and broilers. The one I was given is not explanatory at all. Thanks

Doxy-gen is one of the best antibiotic in the market, Vitalyte too is not bad. You got it wrong by giving them Lasota in just five days(the day you ought to give them anti-cocci).

Thanks Yemmit. I have started with anti-cocci today the 12th day (Will last for 4 days). I used kepcox. They were given gumboro on the 9th day. I hope I am on track. (I mixed my pullets and broilers together).

I Only Know Of Two Ways In Administering Lasota Depending On The Type Which Is Orally And Intra-muscular(injection). Using Lasota Occularly(eye Drops) Is Strange To Me.Inform Whomever Gave You The Vaccine Guide You Are Using Or Get A Poultry Vet Specialist.

Thanks for your prompt response. In the vaccine programme, day 5 is for Lasota and the route of vaccination is eyedrop/oral. When I got to the place I buy vaccine, I was told to mix the lasota and injection water and drop in their eyes.

I hope the overdose of antibiotics and multivitamin they were given for the first 5 days is not affecting them cos more of the chicks have died and some more are sickly. They are 8 days old now I don't know what yo give them now I've been giving them multivitamin since after day 5.

Good morning house. Please I need your help oooo. I have 200 pullets and 150 broiler chicks they are 7 days old today. I gave them 1tbs of doxy-gen and 1 tbs of vitalyte in 1 litre of water (instead of 4 litres of water) for 5 days. On the 5th day, I dropped lasota mixed with injection water in their eyes. I have been giving them vitalyte for 2 days now and have lost 7 of them already. Please what should I do to save the others as some of the pullets are weak and sleepy? NOTE: I have both the pullet and broiler together in one room.

No I haven't. I gave them tiamdox can I give them embacy Forte or Pantacox immediately after giving them tiamdox?

Please house I need help my 12weeks old broiler chicken are dying daily I was advised to give them tiamdox mixed with viral mix which I did but it's like the drug did absolutely nothing to better their condition. It's almost Xmas and I've been raising these chicken since September now they are dying I'm so confused. So many of them are sleeping I've tried to separate the sick ones. Their poo is brownish I don't know what to do anymore. Please help me save my chicken

Ayodapoemmanuel. Your penhouse is probably too hot for your birds. I'll suggest you look into increasing the ventilation. Felshow. You have done what needed to be done by giving your birds calcium supplement. Just be patient; they will resume walking soon. Success.

Please I need help. Some of my 11weeks old broiler chicken are finding it difficult to walk it's like their legs are not functioning properly. I have given them Ds-ultra Cal D they finished the bottle I was going to buy another one but a friend said I should buy the powder calcium and mix with their food instead which I have been doing for over a week. I don't know what to do anymore please help
