Romance / Re: A Case For Men Who Don’t Want To Date Single Mothers by femicyrus(m): 6:14am On Sep 10
Parts of the story have been altered cos affected parties might be nairalanders.

A while ago, I met a beautiful woman. She carry front, she carry back. Both in desirable proportions. I got her number and we got talking. We soon advanced to long calls, flirting and risqué jokes. Then she posted a boy on her WhatsApp status one day and the caption rocked me to my foundation. I asked and she confirmed that the little boy was her son. Okay.

“Where is his father?”

“He is not responsible. He is not involved in his son’s life. I take care of him alone.”

“Well, no problem”, I thought to myself. I reminded myself that it is not my dream in life to deal with the complications of raising a son who is not biologically mine, especially one whose father is still very much alive. So, I slowed down. Reduced calls until we drifted apart.

I told a female friend of mine about this and the way she looked at me ehn, I was wondering what I did wrong. She was so disappointed in me for refusing to date a single mother.

Well, I gave that friend of mine a piece of my mind. She had no right to project her concept of right or wrong or even chivalry on me! I am nobody’s saviour. I cannot pick up the responsibilities of another man who is alive and well. It is not only unfair but incredibly unjust to put a man on the spot by letting him find out you have a child after you guys have started flirting and even advanced in the talking stage of a budding relationship. I don dey feel you to the point of starting a serious relationship and I discover this? It is wrong.

And it is even more offensive that you would expect a man to just take it in stride.

Guys do not be shy to refuse if you don’t want.

Some guys are cool with it and that’s fine. If I’m not cool with it, don’t demonise me. It’s my choice.

Share your thoughts please.

If she is tonto dikeh or Genevieve nnaji, you won't come here to tell us stories until after post marriage crisis.
Politics / Re: 2023 Presidency: Who Flies PDP’s Flag ? by femicyrus(m): 11:00am On Sep 02
The north had being the flag bearer of the party since after Jonathan. PDP should learn to add up their failure in their myopic mathematics

It will take a miracle for PDP to win the Presidency again in Nigeria after frustrating Nigerians to the extent of voting for buhari.
The more pain buhari inflicted on Nigerians, the more hatred Nigerians will have towards PDP the initial cause of the mistake (buhari)

Reason why Buhari won was because people in South Western States voted massively for him .. .

I believe this is a lesson for the south!!
That was because a known atiku was the only strongest opposition and buhari (poison) was garnish with a rccg pastor and law professor from the south west who is currently a figure head in this government

How to produce a Muslim:
1. By birth (marry many wives for more children)
2. By being a kidnap victim (chibok girls)
3. By being a victim of terrorism (jihad)
4. Through almagiri system (book-haram).
5. By force (get power through government to enforce it)

How to produce a Christian:
1. By being born again (any day you encounter Jesus, old things shall pass away and all things shall become new)

I have laid before you this day both life and death.

Choose life instead

Is it just me or have you all realized Osinbajo has never left this country for medical checks, vacation or anything else that is unofficial? Same as his wife?

All his trips have been official and short. Some, he returns same day.

Now, he has gone to hospital in Nigeria, people are raising dust. Where should he have gone? UK? Let me say it again, I prefer Professor Osinbajo to take over Nigeria in 2023. Let the Mafia understand that Nigeria needs stability now than ever. Osinbajo can guarantee that. If they put someone there who would further divide us, an unstable Nigeria will affect them too.

A Prof whose only economic blueprint is trader moni and N-power?

Politics / Re: 2023: Obasanjo Backs Akinwunmi Adesina Over Tinubu by femicyrus(m): 3:20pm On May 02
No northerner would support obasanjo to market adesina as President who will definitely be a good President
It would be a slap on the north producing people like buhari, atiku, elrufai, tambuwa, kwankwaso etc as presidential material if adesina from the south should become Nigerian president from the south with resultant tremendous achievements

The north may support tinubu, fayose, amosun, fayemi obi, okorocha etc whom they know will only come to reenforce failure in government to the advantage of the north

Politics / Re: Lagos State IGR Represents 32% Of Total IGR In 2020 by femicyrus(m): 4:41pm On Apr 16
The internally generated revenue (IGR) recorded by Lagos state in 2020 is higher than 28 other states combined.

This is despite lockdown measures imposed in the state due to COVID-19.

According to the 2020 IGR report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Friday, Lagos generated a total of N418.98 billion, representing 32.08 percent of N1.3 trillion — total IGR generated by states and the federal capital territory (FCT).

This should form the basis for presidential elections in Nigeria and not just population that favours only the North.

There should be electoral college points like that of USA where each States should be allocated points with reference to their cumulative IGR in 4 years.

E.g there should be a total of 100 points available while any candidate that wins Lagos should get the 32 points based on IGR while the winner in kano would get 2.4 points.
The first to gather 51 points from the total 100 available points should become the president.
IGR not population should determine who becomes president if we want to progress as a Nation

Politics / Re: Why Is Tinubu And His Lieutenants Not Campaigning In Southeast And Southsouth? by femicyrus(m): 6:57pm On Apr 08

I beg to differ.

1. Shagari had Ekwueme as VP.
2. The North West has never voted for a non-fulani candidate since 1999

You're obviously a bad student of history
Mr. History lecturer,
Current reality is the antidote for history
Atiku/obi ought to defeat buhari/osinbajo based on your history

The truth hurts

An Igbo man can never pass the night in Aso rock in the present day Nigeria through any combination.

KANU knew this truth hence his agitation for Biafra
Politics / Re: Why Is Tinubu And His Lieutenants Not Campaigning In Southeast And Southsouth? by femicyrus(m): 6:16pm On Apr 08
It is an open secret that Tinubu has always had his eyes on the Nation's highest office. Reason he wanted to deputize Buhari in 2015 to shorten his route to the presidency but for religious sentiments.

Now, as another general election draws nigh, Tinubu and his lieutenants has been clearing the grounds and testing the waters for Tinubu's declaration for the presidency. While his boys are trying to unite the whole of Southwest under Tinubu candidacy, Tinubu himself is doing everything reasonable and unreasonable to warm himself into the heart of northern voters; donating money to victims of Katsina inferno, chairing the 12th Arewa House Lecture and all.

But one thing is conspicuously clear, and that is that neither Tinubu himself nor his lieutenants has made even the remotest of move towards the South East and the South South. And I want to ask why?

My people say, "oku nyu ahuru, ala achuwa ya oso" (literally, when the fowl polutes the air, the grounds chases after it). And by that I mean that Tinubu must be avoiding the SE/SS because of the role he played in the defeat of GEJ, a president they accused of favouring Igbos.

Now, if politics is a game of interest, how would the rest of the country want Igbos to vote for Tinubu, another President that would not be favorably disposed to the Igbos just like Buhari isn't?

Because avoiding the SE/SS in their early campaign clearly indicates where Tinubu is looking to create his allies and if he eventually wins, that would mean another 8 years of an Igbo hating govt.

This is a call on my Igbo brothers and sisters, if they APC ticket goes Southwest, let's not insist on the PDP ticket coming to the East. The North won't vote an Igbo man. Let the presidential ticket go to the North while the VP ticket comes to the East like in 2019. Let the fight be between the North and the West.

If the northerner wins with the PDP with an Igbo man as VP for 8 years, the anti-Igbo sentiments in the North must have been subdued to a very minimal level to create a favorable ground for an Igbo presidency.

This route might be longer, but it's better than having a president that hates Ndigbo for another 8 years.

Penguin is a bird of reason!

Lalasticlala, Mynd44

A northern voter will never vote for a northern man with an Igbo VP.

What if somehow the president pass on like yaradua leaving an Igbo man this time as president?
A Yoruba/northern ticket is a win-win for the North.
The earlier you know the better.

I wish a better Yoruba man like sowore becomes president in 2023 instead tinubu
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Rocks Stylish Native Wear Like A Teenage Star by femicyrus(m): 7:19am On Apr 02
This is one of the few tourism oriented President we have had in the history of Nigeria. Please don't quote me out of context. I'm only talking about tourism not politics, development or personal character. Thank you

He was the brain behind FESTAC a festival that attracted people from over 48 countries of the world
He introduced Ankara back into the system making a once neglected fashion fabric a house hold name
He built the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential library which has a zoo, a resort , a museum, art gallery and other tourist facility
The Abuja stadium was opened under his regime where Nigeria hosted a world sporting competition - the 8th all Africa games

Many other program to promote tourism in Nigeria. I wish we can focus more in developing the Nigerian tourism. Tourism is one of the few initiative that affects every aspect of the economy. From food to transport, housing, hospitality, fashion, culture, lifestyle, entertainment etc
The current president is also promoting terrorism which is also attracting Fulani and other terror investors across African to the country.
Terrorism is one of the few initiative of this govt that affects every aspect of our existence as a nation. E.g. education, agriculture, transportation, security, tourism, infrastructural development, sport, trade etc.
This president has impacted on the lives of Nigerians more than any other President in the history of Nigeria.
Although negatively, but we all can feel his impact on us as President even though about 15 m of us allegedly thumb printed for him to be president while more than 100 m Nigeria suffering now did not partake in the election.
I just hope we've learnt a lesson
