PoliticsGov Abiola Ajimobi Appoints Bolaji Tunji As New Spokes Person by femioyewale(op): 6:37am On Mar 09, 2018
The Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has appointed Bolaji Tunji as his Special Adviser, Communication and Strategy.

Mr. Tunji, who until his appointment was an Executive Director with the Sun Newspaper, takes over from the former spokesperson, Yomi Layinka.

The new appointment saw Mr. Layinka appointed Special Adviser to the governor on Ibadan Media City Project.

A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Olalekan Alli, conveyed the governor’s decision, on Wednesday.

By the appointment, the statement said, Mr. Layinka is expected to oversee the proposed transformation of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State into a massive and formidable media, entertainment and cultural hub for South-West Nigeria.

According to the statement, the redeployment of the governor’s former spokerson to the new project is further proof of the government’s commitment to reclaiming the state’s pioneer status as Nigeria’s leading centre of media, entertainment and culture.

It said Mr. Layinka, a veteran broadcaster, is being saddled with a new responsibility of “transforming the corporation into a hub that would include television and radio broadcasting production studios, theme parks/resorts, hospitality centre, a media academy and hosting venue for major live events in the sub-region.”

Meanwhile, until his new appointment, Tunji was the ED, Special Duties and a member of the board of the Sun Newspapers, where he took a leave of absence to assume his new role.

An alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, the new governor’s spokesperson was the pioneer managing director/editor-in-chief of the New Telegraph newspaper.

He began his journalism career at the Guardian newspaper in March 1993, from where he joined the Daily Independent newspaper as pioneer deputy news editor in 2001 and had a meteoric rise to the position of an Editor.

Mr. Tunji also had a stint with the Daily Times before joining the defunct Comet newspaper, which later metamorphosed into The Nation Newspaper.

At the Nation, he was the pioneer editor of the Saturday title, before joining the repackaged National Mirror as pioneer Sunday Editor and later Editor of the National Mirror, the flagship of the Global Media Mirror Limited titles.

He left the National Mirror to assist in the setting up the New Telegraph, where he served as the pioneer MD/EIC, before being appointed as the ED, special duties of the Sun Newspaper.

Mr. Tunji is married and is blessed with children

PoliticsKano Under-age Voters: Inec, Stop These Denials And Fix This Mess by femioyewale(op): 10:17am On Mar 03, 2018
KANO UNDER-AGE VOTERS: INEC, STOP THESE DENIALS AND FIX THIS MESS

By Ikenna Asomba

Barely nine days after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, set up a 9-man fact-finding team to probe the alleged underage voting in the February 10, 2018 Kano Council poll, promising to make its report public in two weeks, the apex electoral umpire has made its 'Findings' public.

True to the postulations of some discerning minds, INEC has cleared itself or the Kano Independent Electoral Commission, KANSIEC of any wrong doing in the February 10, 2018, Council polls held across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.

Members of the INEC fact-finding panel included: Abubarkar Nahuche (chairman), May Agbamuche-Nbu, Mike Igini, Kassim Geidan, Yakubu Duku, Rukayat Bunmi, Paul Omokore, and Jude Chikezie (secretary).

Just three days ago, this panel met with KANSIEC and before we could say Jack Robinson, the INEC fact-finding team on alleged underage voting in the last Kano council poll is saying it has not received any evidence of under-age voting.

According to the Chairman of the committee, Abubakar Nahuce, from his team’s interaction with civil society organisations and media, no evidence of underage voting has emerged.

Hear Nahuce: "From all what we have seen and discussed with you media men, none of you has seen any underage voter in the line or voting.

“All what we saw were from social media and they are not verifiable… some of them (pictures and videos) are not even from Nigeria, some are from Kenya elections but people are attributing them to Nigeria."

Sincerely, INEC should stop these barefaced lies and denials and immediately fix this mess going into 2019.

Despite these denials, fact remains that under-age voters are not new to Northern Nigeria.

Members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, who served in Northern Nigeria, and were INEC ad-hoc staffs just during the last 2015 Elections that brought General Muhammadu Buhari to power can attest to this fact.

If you don't register these under-age voters, see you in Heaven. If you don't allow them to vote, see you in Heaven. This is a common knowledge up North. So, these pretences and denials by INEC must stop.

INEC must immediately begin to weed its Voters Register particularly in the North of under-age voters. If not, this portends a recipe for chaos in the North as the 2019 election would be between "us" and "us."

The 2019 Presidential Election is no longer between a Muslim Northern candidate and a Christian Southern candidate or between a 'Religious' man and an 'Infidel.'

Look, the photos and videos of under-age voters which hit the internet on February 11, 2018, are from Kano, Northern Nigeria and not from any so-called Kenya as claimed by INEC.

An investigation with Google image proves that the first time these photos appeared on Google was on February 11, 2018. So, needless this new Halleluyah songs.

More so, having done a critical evaluation of the photos, it's apt to state that in Kenya, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), responsible for the conduct of elections, has a different logo and the design of their ballot boxes differ from the photos allegedly emerging from Kano on February 11, 2018.

Even the discordant tune from Mohammed Garba, Kano State commissioner for information, that the images were taken during the 2015 general election shows these are #LiesFromThePitOfHell.

I have spoken to a Kenyan lawmaker, a Taita Taveta Women Representative, Joyce Wanjala Lay, and she had just laughed off the claim by INEC as comical.

It's imperative to state that our own Jide Ajani, Sunday Editor, Vanguard Newspapers, in many special series before the 2015 General Elections exposed to Nigerians and the world, how INEC under Professor Attahiru Jega was committing a lot of frauds with INEC Voters Register up North.

So many concerned Nigerians called for Jega's sack but former President Goodluck Jonathan never listened.

Today, Professor Mahmud Yakubu, the new INEC boss has continued from where Jega stopped.

I reiterate, ahead of 2019, and if we are to record any Transparent, Free and Fair elections, INEC Voters Register, up North must be investigated and these under-age voters cleared off. We can't continue to run this country like this.

Attached are Kenyan Ballot boxes in pix 2 and 3. Dear Nigerians, please, compare and contrast with the Kano photo in pix 1 and judge if INEC is not lying!

PoliticsHate Speech Bill Sponsor, Senator Aliyu Abdullahi Sabi: What Is Your Grouse? Wha by femioyewale(op): 7:41am On Mar 03, 2018
HATE SPEECH BILL SPONSOR, SENATOR ALIYU ABDULLAHI SABI: WHAT IS YOUR GROUSE? WHAT ARE YOUR FEARS?

Indeed, the popular saying that "where there's smoke there's fire" is truism.

For some days, I have been bothered as to how one who witnessed, read or heard of the evils perpetrated under several military interregnums in Nigeria, would want to re-introduce a Bill akin to the controversial Public Officers (Protection Against False Accusation) Decree No 4, such as the controversial Hate Speech Bill?

Why create a Hate Speech Commission in a nascent democracy like ours? This is a recipe to gag Free Speech, Press Freedom and muzzle the opposition into submission by any ruling government at Federal, State and Local Council levels.

What does APC Senator Aliyu Abdullahi Sabi, Senate Spokesperson and Senator representing the good people of Niger North Senatorial District want?

DIGGING DEEP

'Distinguished' Senator Sabi, four months ago, precisely on November 3, 2017, was allegedly assaulted and stoned in Kontagora, the headquarters of Niger North Senatorial District where he represents.

Irked by the humiliation he suffered, Sen. Sabi may perhaps be nicodemusly joining forces with the enemies of Free Speech in Nigeria to introduce the Hate Speech Bill, which when passed, any person found guilty of any form of hate speech that results in the death of another person shall die by hanging upon conviction.

The bill also seeks the establishment of an ‘Independent National Commission for Hate Speeches’, which shall enforce hate speech laws across the country, ensure the elimination of the menace and advise the Federal Government.

For offences such as harassment on the grounds of ethnicity or racial contempt, a culprit shall be sentenced to “not less than a five-year jail term or a fine of not less than N10 million or both.”

Whatever the above means for Senator Sabi and his collaborators, I state that this is a recipe to gag Freedom of Expression, as well as Press Freedom in Nigeria. The opposition will be muzzled into submission. Take this to the banks.

FLASHBACK: ANTI-SOCIAL MEDIA BILL

If Nigerians are not suffering from National Amnesia, it should be recalled that Senator Balla Ibn Na’Allah, the current Senate Leader, while he was Deputy Leader of the Senate, sponsored the controverisial Frivolous Petitions Bill also known as the Anti-Social Media Bill in 2015. That controversial bill was met with resistance by Nigerians online and offline.

Na'Allah, an APC Senator, represents the good people of Kebbi South Senatorial District.

That controversial bill of Na'Allah passed for first reading on November 24, 2015 and second reading on December 2, 2015, in spite of widespread agitations by Nigerians.

But in a dramatic u-turn on May 17, 2016, the Senate threw out the bill to avoid the hammers of Nigerians.

The Senators it was said, took the decision following the report of the committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters on the bill.

Delivering the report, Chairman of the Committee, Senator David Umaru (APC, Niger East) said the bill was opposed by almost all stakeholders during the Public Hearing on it. He therefore said, his committee recommended its withdrawal.

Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over the plenary, also backed the withdrawal.

SENATOR SABI AT IT AGAIN?

Note, Senator Sabi, was elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), based on the popularity he garnered through President Muhammadu Buhari and the support of the late Emir of Borgu, Sen. Dr, Haliru Dantoro.

The Senator was allegedly humiliated by APC party executives in Kontagora, the headquarters of Niger North Senatorial District, where he was stoned, disgraced and insulted.

It was reported that the Senator having called the executives for a meeting at the town hall in Kontagora, which would be the first time he was having such a meeting, since his election in 2015, could not give a satisfactory answer to why he wanted to meet, a year away from the 2019 general elections.

Those at the meeting asked him to give a list of projects he had done/ attracted to Kontagora since he was senator. He was also asked what financial support he had rendered to students of his constituency.

In response to these questions, the Senator in his defense, said that the Buhari led administration, had not given him any funding for constituency projects.

It was said that his answer provoked members of the executives at the meeting and they became hostile, asking him how other elected members of the National Assembly got funding to execute projects and empower the youths in their constituency.

Save for his security details, it was said that the Executives couldn't physically assault Senator Sabi, but he was chased out of the town hall, as his security team surrounded him and he was quickly taken away in a Peugeot 406 car, which was smashed by a hail of stones. The Civil defense truck did not fare any better either.

The cars in his convoy were also said to be wrecked by a hail of stones, as they drove out of the premises.

That was the humiliation Senator Aliyu Abdullahi Sabi suffered at the hands of his Kontagora constituents on November 3, 2017.

It will also be recalled that earlier in 2017, Senator Sabi faced a similar attack in the town of Babanna, Borgu local government and Rofia in Agwara local government as well.

Could this be the ANGER of Senator Sabi? Sincerely, only him could answer this question.

Without much ado, it is quite unfortunate that since the present administration came on board, there have been several attempts to gag Nigerians from critically assessing the government.

Even President Buhari himself has said that social media is particularly his problem. Why the Fear?

It's imperative for well-meaning Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to kick against this anti-peoples bill.

What even determines Hate Speech, a discerning mind would ask?

No doubt, this bill is a recipe for anarchy, if it scales through as an Act with a Presidential Assent.

I reieterate well-meaning Nigerians should rise up to the ocassion, and not allow Senator Sabi and his collaborators succeed with this anti-peoples bill.

Like the 2015 Anti-Social Media Bill of Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah was thrown out of the Senate in 2016, it is certain that this cup would pass too.

Contractors Call-Out Ogun lawmaker over alleged bribe demand

It's no longer news that one of the honourable member of the Ogun state house of assembly, Hon. Oludare Kadiri representing Ijebu north state constituency had dragged two contractors handling the ecological fund projects in Ogun state to the floor of the house over what the Speaker as called unsubstantiated allegation by the lawmaker in question.

Event have however taken another dimension has contractors handling the projects divulged that the only reason the lawmaker has gone to the floor of the state house to blackmail their firms is their rejection of the plea for kickbacks on a project that hasn't been completed.

The contractor through its engineer stated that it is highly illegal for the lawmaker to question the integrity of their firm which has built a solid brand over time with branches and clientele all over major cities in Nigeria.

We gathered that trouble broke out when the lawmaker alleged invaded construction site with hoodlums and thugs but was chased by the community youths who are the major beneficiary of the project in terms of supply of construction materials.

The angry youths we gathered took over the responsibility to stop the aggrieved lawmaker who was alleged to have made several attempts to reach out to the contractors for monies from the on going construction project.

Contractors had stated that it is not only wrong for the lawmaker to make false claims about their firm on the floor of the house without any genuine proof or technical details of the on going project.

The contactors has however challenged the lawmaker to go do his findings on jobs that has been handled by the construction giants in other parts of the country.

They further advise that the lawmaker should desist from cheap blackmail in other to drive home a point claiming that his chat with a national assembly lawmaker was leaked and his plot to blackmail the firm weren't hidden. The management however advised the lawmaker to always put the electorate ahead of his selfish agenda reiterating that he should be partner in being dividend of democracy to the door step of his people instead of asking for blackmailing after his unsuccessful bribe request.

PoliticsKwara Guber Candidate, Dr. Bola Olaosebikan (oon) Says No To Baruten Exit From by femioyewale(op): 9:31am On Feb 25, 2018
KWARA GUBER CANDIDATE, DR. BOLA OLAOSEBIKAN (OON) SAYS NO TO BARUTEN EXIT FROM KWARA STATE

Consequent upon the reported denouncement of Nigerian citizenship by residents of Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State, the proclamation has continued to generate mixed reactions from well-meaning indigenes of Kwara who insist they would not allow the aggrieved residents secede to the Republic of Benin.

One of the concerned indigenes, Dr. Bola Olaosebikan (OON) regretted that though everyone is aware of the pains of the residents who attributed their decision to long neglect of the local government in terms of basic infrastructures by the Kwara State government, “we shall not allow any part of Kwara to be lost because of neglect or any display of ethnicity”.

In his words, Dr. Bola Olaosebikan who spoke through his spokesman, Dele Aberuagba upheld the urgent need to share in the burden of Baruten residents, "We have one Kwara State, and so whatever affects any part of Kwara State is affecting the whole of Kwara State. We should desist from saying it is a problem for Kwara North, Kwara Central or Kwara South. In modern global thinking, a problem somewhere can become problem everywhere". So the Baruten issue is a Kwara issue and it is time to take the matter up seriously. We must show empathy and not display of ethnicity”.

The populous gubernatorial candidate in the State, Dr. Olaosebikan however decried a number of unfortunate situations in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State that has made the people denounce their beloved Kwara State. While insisting that Baruten must not be allowed to go, Dr. Olaosebikan said though Baruten is a local government in Kwara State sharing border with the Benin Republic, but unfortunately, there is no road leading to the local government from Kwara State.

He has therefore promised to carry out a study of the issue of Baruten Local Govt Area under the auspices of his campaign team, OLASCO 2019. “Our members in Baruten would send reports and messages to us to help us make provisions for their needs. We shall carry out an infrastructural and economic potential study and from this and we shall produce a Strategic Master Plan for Development of Baruten and similar places in Kwara State. Baruten has enormous agricultural potentials that need to be explored”.

With the fact finding team already constituted immediately after the denouncement, Dr. Olaosebikan assured the aggrieved residents that the OLASCO team will visit Baruten on a support mission that will restore the entity called Kwara.

It will be recalled that in a statement made available to journalists, Abdulrazaq O. Hamzat of “Kwara Must Change” accused Kwara politicians of deceiving residents of the local government with promises during electioneering campaigns.

He said since the creation of Kwara state over 51 years ago, no single meaningful project has been done in the local government by either state or federal government.

Hamzat said some members of Kwara Must Change residing in the local government confided in the group that they have since lost hope in the Kwara State government and have silently denounced their Kwara State citizenship due to absolute neglect.

According to him,”I am from Baruten local government, in Gwanara district specifically. We call ourselves citizens of Benin Republic because we are not sure if we are part of Kwara state. From Gwanara, we travel to Saki in Oyo state for medical treatments and some even die on the road while going. Others go to the Benin Republic for medical treatments too, because we really lack everything at Baruten especially Gwanara district’’.

He regretted that when going to Baruten, one has to travel a long distance to neighboring Oyo State before connecting back to Baruten Local Government. However, apart from Oyo State, one can as well travel to the Benin Republic and come in through the other axis.

Although Nigeria’s border road to Benin Republic located in Gwanara district of Baruten Local Government is stinkingly terrible, notwithstanding, one can still use it at grave discomfort.

It is important to note that, the Kwara State governor, Senator representing Kwara North and other office holders often go to Baruten during electioneering campaigns. When they go there, they make all sorts of promises, but after getting into office, they forget the people".

Christianity EtcRe: How Prophet Omotosho Tope Joseph Predicted Evang. Billy Graham Death by femioyewale: 8:29pm On Feb 21, 2018
Triton1996:
How Prophet Omotosho Tope Joseph Predicted Evang. Billy Graham death, Plane crash aversion.

Barely two months after,  some of the prophecies of God's Oracle,  Apostle Omotosho Tope Joseph of OTJ  are coming to pass.  This time around, it is the confirmation of his Jan 1 Prophecy about a popular man of God in the world  who will die and the aversion of a plane crash in Nigeria.

During his new year prophecies, he said the Lord is about to call a man of God home and that heaven will be his resting place

''I see home call to heaven for a popular man of God. We celebrate God for his life because Heaven is His portion''.

Sadly, news broke out today that popular world evangelist, Billy Graham has rested in the Lord at age 99.

It keeps getting a lot of people surprised at how Omotosho's prophecies are so accurate.

Similarly, he warned earlier that we should pray against series of plane crash but they it will be averted.

''“The military should pray because I see some generals having plane crash but by prayers it will be averted. *Enough prayers should be made against plane crash.* ''

News making rounds late yesterday also had it that a Dana airline plane overshot the airport runway in Portharcourt but no casualty was recorded.

Prophet Omotosho Tope Joseph is one whose prophecies should be paid keen attention to.

Earlier this week, he released new prophecies for the moment which reads below:

Christianity EtcPro. Samuel Akinbodunse Prophecy About Zuma, Ramaphosa Comes To Pass( Video by femioyewale(op): 6:15pm On Feb 15, 2018
At last, President Jacob Zuma has finally stepped down as the President of South Africa after much pressure from the leading political party ANC.

Interestingly, One of God’s oracles who accurately prophesied it is South African Based Prophet, Samuel Akinbodunse of Freedom For All Nations.

He made a strong warning to President Zuma in 2016, and thrice in 2017 not to reshuffle his cabinet else will be sacked in the first quarter of 2018.

The Ondo born Nigeria prophet who is arguably the leading prophetic voice in South Africa now was also reported to have accurately predicted Mugabe’s sack from office in November last year.

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa, who replaced Zuma as ANC leader in December, has become acting president, according to South African law and as prophesied by Pro Samuel Akinbodunse.

Zuma is a veteran of the fight against apartheid and was imprisoned on Robben Island at the same time as Mandela. To his critics, Zuma’s early departure — his term as head of state was not up until next year — marks the end of a frustrating era in which the president’s name became nearly synonymous with the use of the public office for personal gain.

It would be recalled that Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse who is the General Overseer of Freedom for All Nations Outreach (FANO) also predicted that President Buhari will die if he tries to go for second term, Predicted the confession of many Religious leaders this year, and many more

Christianity EtcZimbabwean President Invites Prophet TB Joshua by femioyewale(op): 6:01pm On Feb 14, 2018
Internationally acclaimed prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua – widely known as TB Joshua – is expected in Zimbabwe for a presidential visit in a few days.

Information available to Sahara weekly from Zimbabwe revealed that the exact date TB Joshua will be arriving has been kept secret to avoid a stampede at the Robert Mugabe International Airport and that it’s a private visit courtesy of the president who believed the clergy holds the key to the change the country needs.

We reliably gathered that Zimbabwean facilitator Jossey Mahachi confirmed the developments but emphasised that the preacher was coming on a private visit contrary to reports that he would hold a crusade.

“Prophet TB Joshua will be coming to Zimbabwe in a few days from now and I am highly excited about it as it will be his first time to set his foot here,” she said.

“His visit is a courtesy call to his Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa. He is not coming to hold a crusade like what is being said on social media.”

“I am sorry I can’t give you more details about the visit but all I can say is Zimbabwe has been remembered.”

Despite not having a church assembly in Zimbabwe, Prophet TB Joshua has a huge following of Christians who watch him through his television channel, Emmanuel TV.

sources within Zimbabwe squealed to us that if Nigeria does not appreciate the priceless gift God has given them in the person of TB Joshua, they recognise the grace of God upon his life and are ready to hand over their country to him for spiritual guidance.

Many Christian believers around the world, Zimbabwe included, have travelled to his church, Synagogue Church of All Nations for healing and deliverance.

TB Joshua is one of the most sought after preachers in the world.

He is credited for having boosted religious tourism.

PoliticsProphecy Confirmation : How Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse Correctly Predicted Pres by femioyewale(op): 9:31pm On Feb 13, 2018
Prophecy Confirmation : How Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse correctly predicted President Zuma’s recall thrice (VIDEO)

Earlier today, News broke out about the recall of South African President, Jacob Zuma from his post as the president by his party, African Nation congress. This has caused several reactions from different leaders of countries.

However, Checks by us revealed that this was predicted thrice by South African based Prophet, Samuel Akinbodunse who is the General Overseer of Freedom For All Nations Outreach (FANO). He predicted first in 2016 when he warned the President from re-shuffling his cabinet, and also in September 2017 and December 31st, 2017 when he said he will face recall in the first quarter of 2018.

Ace Magashule, Secretary General of the African National Congress, said that the party had not given Mr. Zuma a deadline to respond, but added that he was certain that the president would deliver a reply the next day. “Let’s leave it to President Jacob Zuma,” Mr. Magashule said at a news conference at party headquarters in Johannesburg.
The extraordinary confrontation between Mr. Zuma and A.N.C. leaders heightened a power struggle within the party that has governed South Africa since the end of apartheid and has become less known for its heroic past than for widespread corruption and mismanagement.

The power struggle has paralyzed South Africa, which has the continent’s largest economy.
In what appeared to be a turning point, the A.N.C., for the first time, moved decisively against the leader it had shielded for the past nine years against a seemingly endless series of accusations of misconduct. But in an indication of what may be the limits of the A.N.C.’s self-inquiry, party leaders stated that Mr. Zuma was being dismissed because he was harming the A.N.C.’s prospects — not because of the ethical issues surrounding him.

It would be recalled that it was the same prophet who warned president Buhari not to contest in 2019 else it would lead to grave danger.

PoliticsAjegunle And Ambode’s Discriminatory Leadership Style? by femioyewale(op): 7:54am On Feb 12, 2018
AJEGUNLE AND AMBODE'S DISCRIMINATORY LEADERSHIP STYLE?

By Ikenna Asomba

By May 29, 2018, some 90 days from now, our amiable and very distinguished Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, would have spent three years in office.

As a resident of Lagos, I must religiously say that the performance of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode as it concerns the general governance in the Centre of Excellence, Lagos, has been averagely inspiring but daunting.

Governor Ambode, has no doubt trailed the developmental path of former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, particularly with his Legacy projects such as the New Oshodi Transport Interchange, a Legacy Project aimed at redesigning the traffic flow, as well as transforming the aesthetics of the area with iconic infrastructure; and also the use of the Lagos Local Government Areas, LGA Funds to further open the inner-city access roads in Lagos communities.

I must commend Governor Ambode for using the Local Government Funds, to build solid and standard inter-locked roads, with kerbs, pedestrian walk-ways and street lights across the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs). These roads have no doubt contributed immensely to further opening Lagos. However, a lot more still need to be done.

In 2015, Governor Ambode used the Local Government Areas Funds to build 114 roads across the 57 Council Areas- two roads in each of the council areas. These landmark legacy projects were completed and commissioned in August 2016.

Perhaps for paucity of funds caused by the economic recession which hit Nigeria in 2016, the expected 2016 phase of the annual roads project couldn't be achieved in 2017.

So, this 2018, it is commendable that work is about to commence across the 57 Council Areas, as 181 inner-city access roads across the council areas of the state are under-way.

AJEGUNLE IN FOCUS

Ajegunle is the popular ghetto area in Lagos State with over 946, 400 residents, second to Alimosho LGA with 1, 817, 200 residents.

Ajegunle houses the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area and major parts of the Ifelodun Local Council Development Area.

Former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, had once described Ajegunle as the melting point of Nigeria. Reason: Ajegunle is a community that is made up of almost all the ethnic groups in Nigeria. There is barely any ethnic group or tribe that is not resident in Ajegunle.

Despite this melting point feature, residents here have remained largely peaceful and co-existing without tribal or ethnic clashes for many years. Not even the OPC/Ijaw or the OPC/Hausa clashes of those hey days were able to tear apart the peaceful cohabitation of the various ethnic nationalities in Ajegunle. Kudos must be given to the people, as well as the successive leaderships of the Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA and Ifelodun LCDA for this lasting peace in Ajegunle.

A WAKE UP CALL FOR AMBODE

Be that as it may, it has become very imperative to draw the attention of His Excellency Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to what many a residents have described as his Discriminatory Style of Leadership against the people of Ajegunle (Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA and Ifelodun LCDA), particularly in terms of appointments and road projects siting.

I have religiously followed the politics of appointments and siting of projects in Lagos State, particularly on the issue of roads construction, I must say that the Lagos State Government under the leadership of Governor Ambode has not favoured the good people of Ajegunle.

Since coming on board on May 29, 2015, no single road has been built by the state government in Ajegunle. The four roads built in Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA and Ifelodun LCDA respectively were built with the Local Council Funds under the control of the State Government. I stand to be corrected. If these funds are under the firm control of the Local Council Government, with close supervision by the state government, I am certain more than four roads would have been built since 2015.

Since 2015, the four roads that have been built in Ajegunle with the Local Council funds under the control of the state government are: Molade and Temidire Streets (Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA); Iludun Street, Amukoko and Itire Road, Alaba-Oro (Ifelodun LCDA). I reiterate, no road has been built by the State Government with its own funds.

On the other hand, among the 181 Roads under-way, to be facilitated with the Local Council funds, the two council areas in Ajegunle were allocated two roads each. They are: Uzor and Akogun Streets in (Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA) and Adekoya/Owoyemi and Adejiyan Streets in (Ifelodun LCDA). This is even as most council areas were allocated three roads each.

On appointments, in 2015, nobody from Ajegunle was deemed fit to be appointed a Commissioner by Governor Ambode. Not even Special Adviser was deemed fit for anyone from Ajegunle.

Again, there was reshuffling of his cabinet in January 2018, nobody was deemed fit to be appointed Commissioner in Ajegunle. Even Special Adviser, nobody from Ajegunle was deemed fit to be appointed. This is ridiculous.

It is also expedient to recall that in the 8 years administration of former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola- May 29, 2007- May 29, 2015,
just three major road projects were sited in Ajegunle by the administration.

They were the 0.265km dualization of the Alaba/Cemetary Road awarded to Banci Nigeria Limited and the construction of 1.210km Rotimi-Okulaja-Koripamo-Sholade-Salimonu Bakare Streets, awarded to Lopek Engineering & Construction Limited.

One of the two projects which were ongoing but stalled owing to inadequate funds as at when Fashola left office was the construction of 1.1km Ojoku-Ohuntan Streets awarded to Rojo Engineering & Construction Limited. It is completed now.

Unfortunately, the Grading and Surface Dressing done on the 0.8km Onishapa-Akogun Streets awarded to Wallways Tech Limited had since been washed away by flood, as the street is now impassable to the chagrin of pedestrians and motorists alike.

The Akogun Street has been re-awarded again. Perhaps, when completed, its residents can heave a sigh of relief.

Dear Governor Akinwunmi Ambode Ajegunle community has over 400 streets not tarred since the existence of the community.

These streets and roads also lack proper drainage channels, medians, walk-ways and street lights, unlike their counterparts in communities such as Surulere, Lagos Mainland, Apapa and Lagos which had the highest number of completed road projects under the last administration.

According to statistics from the Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, the last administration in eight years, completed 229 new roads amounting to 118.159km, as well as did Grading and Surface Dressing on 80 roads amounting to 46.191km.

Ongoing road projects at the twilight of Fashola's administration were 201 amounting to 237.771km, while there was Grading and Surface Dressing on 71 roads amounting to 76.740km.

In Fashola's eight years, unlike Ajegunle, top beneficiaries of completed and ongoing road projects according to a summary by the works ministry were: Alimosho- completed (31) ongoing (16); Lagos Mainland- completed (29) ongoing (3); Surulere- completed (26) ongoing (37); Kosofe- completed (25) ongoing (29); Ifako Ijaiye- completed (22) ongoing (13); Mushin- completed (20) ongoing (3); Ikorodu- completed (17) ongoing (cool.

Pathetically, Ajegunle, comprising wo council areas got a paltry 3 Roads in 8 years.

From investigations, it is said that the Lagos State Government jettisons Ajegunle in its road infrastructure plan because the residents don't massively vote for the ruling party in the State.

Assuming this is true, one wonders if Ajegunle is not part of Lagos. One wonders if the State Government don't collect tax from residents here. One wonders if what took place during elections should be used to determine the amount of projects to be attracted to Ajegunle.

Against the backdrop of inequality in the siting of road projects, I join millions of other residents in Ajegunle to call on Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, to urgently declare a state of emergency on roads in Ajegunle community.

It is imperative to remind Governor Ambode of one of his campaign promises, during a Town Hall meeting at Eagle Club, Surulere, to build 5,000 roads in four years, if elected. May 29, 2019 is just some 15 months from now, can Ambode meet up with the fulfillment of these 5,000 roads?

Dear Governor Ambode, the four major roads in Ajegunle community are riddled with pot-holes, shallow drainage channels, lack of median, walk-ways and no street-lights. The deplorable state of these roads cause excruciating pains to motorists, motorcyclists and tricyclists. The four major roads are: Boundary-Aiyetoro-Ojo Road-Alaba Suru; Boundary-Baale-Mba-Cardoso-Otto Woff; Boundary-Tolu-Kirikiri-Berger Suya and Ojoku-Idewu-Industrial Avenue.

Please, enough of the excuses that some of these roads are Federal Government Trunk Roads.

Governor Ambode must not wait for the Federal Government to fix these roads to standard. I trust his verified capacity in building standard roads. Lagos is a pacesetter state when it comes to building standard roads with good drainage channels, walk-ways, kerbs, median and street-lights.

As 2018 ticks, and ahead of the 2019 Governorship election in Lagos State, I am certain that Governor Ambode would be re-elected for a Second Term, to consolidate on his legacy projects.

Going forward, these are some of the deplorable roads Governor Ambode should fix to put smiles on the faces of Ajegunle residents. These roads are important inner-city access roads. They include but not limited to: Ekundayo, Osho Drive, Kekere Ogun, Okito, Uzor (underway), Akerele, Omowunmi, Chidi, Dada Onijama, Odudu, James Igbe, Ashafa, Oluwa, Mensah, Baba Sule, Akimbo, Taiwo, Wowo, Temidire, Adeolu, Apena, Apikirin, Isikalu, Silver, Ugbewankwo, Okorogbo, Akatapko, Abukuru, Babani, Goriola, Rashidi, Ladipo, Otuniyo, Ezeagu, Adekeye, Ligali, Aiyenero, Mosalashi, Olowosu, Ladega, Akogun (under-way), Ibafon, Emodi, Fasasi, Kudaisi, Alhaji Adebola, Bolaji Oloro, Jones Waribi and Jejeliaye.

Others are Togunde Igbaja, Sadiku, Trinity Close, Dele Bakare, Abiola Oluwa, Alhaji Kareem Akande, Kola Akin-Tepede Close, Cemetery Road, Palace Road, George, New Creature Avenue, Arowo Iyabuno, Iyakudima Lane, Chuka Ben Avenue, Adetola Lane, Chief Titus Ufondu, Ben Onyeka, Ola Badmus, Deliverance, Barr. Ahmed Musa, Odofin Akinsanya, Raufu Olaiya, Abiodun, Queen, Otakoya, Olowa, Emmanuel Avenue, John Okorie, Ishaga among others.

No doubt, Ajegunle is still a sprawling slum and ghetto city. If Governor Akinwunmi Ambode declares a state of emergency on inner-city roads in Ajegunle, the residents here would have no option but to give his party their massive votes and support at subsequent elections. The Discriminatory Style of Leadership would thus be a thing of the past. For one good turn deserves another.

Going forward, when these road projects are done, the Council Administration should take charge in its maintenance. A situation where slight pot-holes on roads are allowed to degenerate should seize. This is corruption. Also, a situation where residents litter refuse on these roads, channel their wastes on these roads should stop.

This is my one penny advice to His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, if his party is to further make in-roads, with ease in Ajegunle.

Christianity EtcSurprise! Festus Keyamo Withdraws As Stephanie Otobo’s Lawyer! “he Deceived Me” by femioyewale(op): 4:58pm On Feb 09, 2018
In a bizzare marriage of absurd twists and deliberate unethical legal practices, the scandal involving a Canada-based stripper and aspiring musician, Stephanie Otobo and Apostle Johnson Suleiman of Omega Fire Ministries, Auchi, sprung more surprises as the lady's lawyer, Festus Keyamo has filed a plea to relinquish his position as counsel to Miss Otobo in court.

It appears that the controversial lawyer has been given a black eye by his client as he said in his application that recent events, including his client's confession at OFM and her subsequent refusal to play to her alleged "sponsors" script have made their continued partnership "untenable".

Keyamo also finally confessed in his plea that he has never known the address of Stephanie Otobo, a client he has been working for, since 2017. This confession by a lawyer of Keyamo's standing has left many Nigerians wondering why he created the impression of closeness and care for his supposed client all these months.

In what seems to be a killer punch, Stephanie Otobo has deposed to an affidavit distancing herself from another affidavit earlier made public by Festus Keyamo, in which she was claimed to be asking the court to examine the genitals of the Apostle via forensics.

According to the new affidavit signed by Otobo, her lawyer (Festus Keyamo) deceived her by giving her a "bundle of documents" to sign, telling her that it was just papers to allow the police release her phone which was in custody at the time. Unknown to her, the lawyer refused to let her read the document because it was a scheme to submit the so-called request for forensic examination against the preacher, a move that blindsided the young lady. She has accused Keyamo of dishonesty and told the court that her alleged sex affair with the Apostle never happened.

She also reaffirmed her earlier confession that she was used by "some powerful politicians and pastors who only wanted to pull down the Man of God".

To find peace of mind and move on with her life, Miss Otobo said she had confessed in order to find forgiveness as her conscience had been troubled all through the saga. She also appealed to all stakeholders to let her move on with her young life so she can find her purpose for living.

The revelations in this affidavit brought before the Ikeja high court and the subsequent application by Keyamo to withdraw as counsel to Miss Otobo has exposed the unethical behavior of lawyers in their quest to win cases, pull people down, deceive even their own clients, and distort facts in order to subvert justice. But it is more diminishing when it is a lawyer of Keyamo's repute that is caught indulging in such unwholesome practices.

The Apostle has vowed through his counsel to report the lawyer to the appropriate authorities including the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee. He is said to be very bitter about the manner Keyamo handled this saga and the deliberate manipulation of facts to defame his character

The General Overseer of Freedom for all Nations Outreach (FANO), South Africa, Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse has taken the ministry and the church to a situation beyond the four walls. I bank with UBA too and this same debit happened to me also. All I did was visit the UBA branch at Anthony, which is near me. At first I was quite livid when got there, but the reception I got at the branch office changed everything. The customer service was very warm and nice. She took her time to explain that it was a system issue which would soon be resolved. She was very assuring and convincing and has followed up with a call since my visit to the bank reassuring me that it would be sorted out, My take out is the whole thing is been blown out of proportion and the attack on the bank is unwarranted. I have a GT bank account too and had a similar experience late last year and the drama did not amount to ths.

Mrs Ambode did not commit sacrilege,it's a fallacy from pit of Hell"- Rev OGEDENGBE

Rev Ogedengbe  a renowned cleric and General Overseer of Overcomers Minitries Abule Egba Lagos in this interview x-rayed the anointing service saga between Lagos State Governor's wife and the Chaplain of  Christ The Light Church which belongs to the State.

Question: Can we say the first lady Lady commiteed sacriledge during the particular  anointing service as alleged by Pastor Adeyemi

Ans: That is pure fallacy and totally unbiblical, she has committed no sacriledge niether did she commit any thing close to it.  Do people know what sacriledge means? i am a theologian  and i can authoritatively tell you that she has done nothing close to that. Did she desecrate the temple? Did she desecrate the altar of God? Did she bring anything abominable into the house of God? If she has done nothing of such, i think people who speak to the media should be mindful of the judgement they pass on others in the public.

Question; So what is your own reaction to the whole crises  sir?

Ans,  There is no crises anywhere,  the government has the power to hire and fire,  and that exactly is what the government has exercised in the sacking of Pator Taiwo. Besides, due process were followed, so i think it is just a question of employer to employee.

Question: Is it proper for the government to sack on the basis of disrespect?

Ans:

I don't think this is correct because i have known Mrs Bolanle Ambode for some time now and she epitomises decency, decorum and absolute humility to be sincere with you. She is not that kind of person that will take the things of God with levity and  i know she wouldn't have asked the govenment to sack the man, i know her that much.

This is not the first time the issue of sacking will emanate in government house,  the former governor of Lagos  Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) sacked one Pastor Adeleke for some reasons and nothing happened thereafter, no body raised alarm,  that  same government even sacked some islamic clerics, more than one occassion and nobody shouted, so what are we crying about.

Question: It is beleived that once you are in God's house every one is equal, don't you think she should have acted along this line?

Ans:

The Bible asks us to give honour to whom honour is due, this does not preclude men of God,  and i think the first lady deserves respect from whoever it is that is ministring on that podium. The same measure of respect given to her husband whenever he comes around should also be accorded her, that  i think is the fair thing to do. The holy book said so much about it. I think the whole thing is a plan from the pit of hell to embarrass the first family. I will appeal to body of Christ not to allow themselves to be used.

Christianity EtcFew Weeks After Father's Burial, Bro Joshua Iginla Relocates Mum To South Afric by femioyewale(op): 11:21am On Mar 03, 2017
FEW WEEKS AFTER FATHER'S BURIAL, BRO JOSHUA IGINLA RELOCATES MUM TO SOUTH AFRICA.
Few weeks after father's burial, amiable clergy and philanthropic, Bro. Joshua Iginla has relocated his mother, Deaconess Iginla to Nelson Mandela's country , Johannesburg in South Africa.

Information available to us revealed that the shepherd in charge of Champions Royal Assembly in Abuja took her to South Africa last week before the just concluded three days programme tagged Supernatural Overflow to commemorate the ministry's 2nd anniversary in Johannesburg.

We learnt he decided to relocate her there so she can relax and get over the demise of her hubby who was buried on Friday, February 10th, 2017 at Ado in Ekiti State.

It would be recalled that Bro Joshua Iginla's growing influence in South Africa has become a force to be reckoned with as he now has many thriving branches.

Christianity EtcPro Joshua Iginla Loses Dad.+ Releases Burial Plans by femioyewale(op): 2:10pm On Feb 04, 2017
Popular Abuja prophet and General Overseer of Champions Royal Assembly,  Bro Joshua Iginla has lost his father , Pa (Deacon) Lasisi Iginla on Wednesday, January 4th, 2017.

We reliably gathered that the philanthropic clergy would bury his father who died at the age of 84 in Ekiti.

Information available to us revealed that the wake keep has been slated for Thursday, February 9, 2017 while internment service will take place on Friday, February 10, 2017.

Pa (Deacon) Lasisi Iginla was born in the year 1933 into the family of Pa. and Mama. Disu Iginla  who were both indigine of Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state.

Late Pa (Deacon) Lasisi was born in Ogbon Ado Street, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State. His mother, Mama Aye Iginla hails from Oke-Ila in same Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Pa. Dirisu Iginla lost his mother when he was two and half years old. He got married to Mama Moriamo in 1962.

Late Pa Dirisu Iginla was a builder at the early age of his life, he got enlisted into the Nigeria Army in 1967 and retired in year 2004 while serving at Odogbo Cantonment, now Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan, Oyo State.

He spent the rest of his life at Ado-Ekiti, his home town. As a gallant soldier, he fought several wars, including the Nigeria Civil War.

Though Late Pa (Deacon) Lasisi Iginla was a staunch Muslim, he later gave his life to Jesus Christ in one of the ministration of his Clergy son, Brother Joshua Iginla. He served the Lord fervently and rose to the office of a Deacon before he slept in the Lord on Wednesday 4th January, 2017.

Even at the point of departure his declaration was: " God of Joshua Iginla help me"!
