Three security guards of a five-star resort have each been fined Dh500,000 by a Dubai court for insulting Islam on social media.

The Dubai public prosecution accused the three Sri Lankans, aged between 28 and 34, of contempt of religion through posts on Instagram and Facebook. It referred them to trial pursuant to the anti-discriminatory and hatred law and the Federal Penal Code.

The Dubai Court of First Instance ordered that all the three accused be deported after paying the fines.

The trio has been detained.

The case dates back to May 19 last year. It was registered at Al Barsha police station.

A police sergeant said they moved to the resort after receiving the report. "We found the three guards were already restrained by their colleagues.

"With a prosecution warrant, we later searched their places and seized their mobile phones and laptops."

The incident was reported by a senior public relations officer at the resort. "I learned about the three employees' posts in May last year. We summoned them for an internal probe. They admitted they had those posts on their accounts on Facebook."

The sergeant told the prosecution investigator that the three defendants admitted they had posted those inappropriate messages and pictures on their accounts on social media.
Copies of those messages and pictures have been used as prosecution evidence in the case file.

During the prosecution investigation, the three accused confessed to the charge.
The verdict has now become final as no one of the defendants filed an appeal within the legal deadline

*INTRODUCTION*:
A decree is an official order that has the force of law. It is an authoritative order or decision to which people have to comply. Job 22:28 says: “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways”. The person making the decree must be in a position of power and authority to do so. The word “decree” in Hebrew language is “gazar”, which means “to cut down or to cut off, to destroy, to divide, to exclude or decide!

*MEMORY VERSE*:
That confirmeth the word of His servant, and performeth the counsel of His messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof: Isaiah 44:26

*LESSON OUTLINES*:

*CONDITIONS YOU MUST MEET BEFORE YOU DECREE A THING AND EXPECT TO SEE THE MANIFESTATION ARE*:

1. You must be rooted in the Word of God, so that you understand your divine privilege to have your decree upheld – Colossians 2:7; 2 Timothy 2:15
2. When you hear, receive and obey the Word of God, you are given the power to decree the Word – Deuteronomy 28:1; Jeremiah 1:9-12
3. Always ask the Holy Ghost for assistance and guidance as to what you need to decree on – Romans 8:26-27
4. Believe and expect to see the manifestation – Mark 9:23
5. Decree according to the will of God.
6. Walk in total obedience to the Word of God – 2 Corinthians 10:6

*CONDITIONS YOU MUST MEET BEFORE YOU GIVE COUNSEL ARE*:

1. *Pray*: Before meeting anybody for the purpose of counselling, we must not forget to pray. We must seek for what to tell them from God – Daniel 2:27-28
2. *Listen well*: We can never give good, Godly and timely counsel, if we don´t listen well – James 1:19
3. *Search the Scriptures*: We must never give counsel from any source other than the bible. The Word of God has instructions for every single thing under the sun – Hebrews 4:12-13

*WHAT DO I DO AFTER ISSUING A DECREE OR GIVING A COUNSEL?*

1. *Backup your decree with prayer*. 1 Kings 18:1; 41-45 prophet Elijah still prayed despite hearing God clearly, that he should tell Ahab that He was about to send rain to the earth - John 14:13
2. *Strong faith is required over your counsel*. Mark 11:23
i. And Moses said unto him, as soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease neither shall there be any more hail, that thou mayest know how that the earth is of the LORD'S. Exodus 9:29. And in verse 33, it was done according to his counsel.
ii. Elisha sent a messenger to Naaman to go and dip himself in River Jordan seven times for his healing. 2 Kings 5:10 and in verse 14, after complying, he was healed.

*SUMMARY*: God will always back up His Word with manifestation.

*CONCLUSION*:
It is written in Job 22:28 “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways”. As a child of God you are already empowered to issue decrees –John 1:12. Grow your faith not to make you have any doubt on your counsels and decrees – Mark 11:23. Develop a powerful prayer life to actualize your decrees and counsels like Elijah – 1 Kings 18:1; 41-45.

INTRODUCTION
Longevity is most commonly used to describe the length of one's lifetime. The word of God give us straight forward principle that will enable us enjoy long life on earth. Believers should note that as much as God want us to live long on earth, He equally desires that we live a quality life (John 10:10b).

BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES TO LONGEVITY

To live long, we must live by divine principles. Some of these principles are clearly stated in the Bible. For instance, it is important to fear God and keep His commands (Proverbs 3:1-2, 7-8; 10:27). Positive confession supported with a disciplined lifestyle is another key (Proverbs 18:21; 1Peter 3:10; Colossians 4:6). Aside spiritual empowerment, fasting can also boost one's health and prolong life (Isaiah 58:5-. The Bible also talks about honoring our parents as a secret of longevity (Proverbs 4:10; Ephesians 6:1-3; Exodus 20:12).

In addition, we need to have a balanced lifestyle. Everything may be permissible, but not everything is beneficial (1Corinthians 10:23; 1Corinthians 6:19). Eating nutritious food, exercising regularly, observing good rest and avoiding stress constitute some of the other ways to have a balanced lifestyle.

WHAT CONSTITUTES A QUALITY LIFE?
There are biblical examples of those who lived long. Moses lived for 120 years ( Deut. 3:2; 34:7) Abraham -175 years (Gen. 25:7), Enoch -363 years (Gen. 5:23), Sarah -127 years (Gen. 23:1), Noah -950 years (Gen. 9:29), etc. However, it should be noted that neither Genesis 6:3 nor Psalm 90:10 is God-ordained age limits for humanity. Genesis 6:3 is a prediction of the timetable for the flood. Psalm 90:10 is simply stating that as a general rule, people live 70-80years (which is still true till today).

Believers should know that living long is good but the quality of such life is equally important (Psalm 90:13-14; Jer. 29:11). We should live purposefully (In service to God and humanity) in fulfilment of God's plan for our lives.

CONCLUSION
Not only foes God and want each one of us to have long life, but also to have a life of abundance spiritually, materially, emotional and physically (John 10:10)

INTRODUCTION: One of the simplest definitions of the word “study” is to examine thoughtfully for understanding. A student is one who studies or a pupil learning for scholarship. However, the student is like a learner, and in early learning environment, there must be a teacher. As children of God (=Born Again) our most qualified teacher is the word of God (Joshua 1:. Hence the advice to study to show ourselves approved. One of the major problems in education of people is not to have unqualified learners. You will always have them. The problem is that no teaching – learning environment can make progress with a teacher that does not have mastery of the subject matter. False prophets and teachers have been annoying the children of God since the time of the Old Testament, but their role and effect was made clear to the church during the missionary work of Paul – Deuteronomy 13; Titus 3:10-11; Acts 15:24; 2 Corinthians 11:4; Revelation 2:2.
The bible passage referred above said we should study so as to work out our approval before God and not man. When a person studies, he/she learns the truth and helps the learner not to fall for lies or heresies.

MEMORY VERSE: “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed.” 2 John 1:10

i. Continuous acquiring of knowledge is a must.

LESSON OUTLINES:
*WHAT IS DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH?*

This is a process of study that helps you to get the truth. It can be classified into three stages:

1. *LEARNING*: This process requires you to know all you have never known by learning or experience.

2. *RE-LEARN*: This process helps you to emphasize and get mastery of what you have learned.

3. *DE-LEARNING*: This is the process of sifting the wheat from the husk. Here the half-truth and untrue concepts are eliminated or removed.

WHERE CAN I GET THESE PROCESSES?
Every educational support of churches, ministries and fellowship make available three learning processes through platforms like Directorate of Christian Education (DCE) in RCCG, Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC), School of Disciples (SOD), the Redeemed Christian School of Mission (RECSOM), House Fellowship Leadership Training etc..

A born-again Christian must go through these processes as he/she has to be under studies of the Word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is critical because the bible is only a curriculum, the teacher is the Holy Spirit. No wonder, the way a scripture is revealed to a person, who is spirit filled, is different from the one who looks at it as an ordinary literature book.

SUMMARY: Acquire, practice/live and impact knowledge daily as that is the best way to become relevant to God and Humanity.

CONCLUSION:

You study the word of God intensively with the help of the Holy Spirit. Only then can you discern the truth from falsehood.
Heresies have been predicted over two thousand years ago. No wonder, they are here, however, you can save yourself from being deceived as an elect, when you study to show yourself approved unto God by dividing the word of truth correctly.

ASSIGNMENT : Learn a new skill in the course of the week and share with other brethren. Start a new plan for studying the word of God.

*LESSON INTRODUCTION*:
Health care is the maintenance or improvement of health via prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, illness, injury and other physical/mental impairments in humans beings. The bible is definitely pro- health and encourages us to take care of ourselves when we are sick.
Proper attention should be given to a any ailing parts of our bodies (Isa. 1:5-6). The goal is to keep the body fit, as much as possible, in order to fulfill the purpose for living, serve and glorify the Lord (Isa. 38:19).

*OUTLINES*
*BIBLICAL CLUE*
Seeking medical attention should not be view as demonic, lack of faith or carnal.
Rather, there are scriptural prescriptions as well as contemporary medical interventions that do not just bring about quick relief but also save lives (Isa. 38:21). Ultimately, God heals (Ex.15:26).
The bible mentions various medical processes/treatments. For instance, people applied bandages and ointments to wounds (Isa.1:6), used oil and wine as healing agents (James 5:14; Lk. 10: 34; 1 Tim.5:23). This does not mean that modern surgery or pharmaceuticals are not umbilical, only that, when the bible was written, those treatments had not yet been invented (Dan. 12:4; Isa.33:6).

*THE RIGHT APPROACH*
There are several provisions at the disposal to improve or correct our health.
Preventive healthy habits such as eating and sleeping well, drinking enough water, and doing regular exercises will steadily improve any person's health. Christians should not hesitate to visit or consult with the appropriate medical practitioners, when the needs arise. We should, however, avoid patronising quacks, magicians or witchdoctors (Lev. 19:31; Deut.18:10). Maternal health-care is essential for pregnant women. Immunisation of children against strange diseases/epidemics should not be taken for granted.
It is good to participate in healthcare insurance plans.

However, our ultimate faith and trust should be in God and not in medical experts or medicine (Mk.5:25-26).
All medical processes/treatments should be committed unto God before, during and after. Physicians care, God heals. (Psalms 103:3; 7:20).

*CONCLUSION*: If we lack wisdom and let our bodies fall into disrepair,we risk sudden sickness or injury that can take us out of God's purpose for living.
