Thank you, I've checked my application status, but I've not gotten any message from VFS to come for my document. I even sent VFS an email, but they replied that my application is not ready for collection.

Log into your profile online and go to the ''Check Application Status'' section. There you will find the decision on your application

I did not deposit huge amount in my account and wish to reapply and point out the ECO's error like you said. But want to know if reapplying immediately won't be a sign of desperation.

2. Moreover, If I decide to reapply immediately, should I submit same leave/introduction letter (02/10/17 to 31/10/17) or get another one with new dates.
Thank you.

justwise:
You have more outgoing that incoming in your account so without another source of income your final bank balance will be questionable.

A different ECO will treat your application if you reapplied, so its likely to be another issue. inconsistency in your bank statement will always raise an eye brow so its important that you sort that out.

If you believed that the ECO made a mistake and that you did not deposit huge amount in your account then reapply and point that out else think carefully about reapplication.

The 200k was a transfer I made from my account on 05/07/17. The 200k that appeared twice in my deposit were reversal of the money i transfered. Same date I tried transfering 150k, but the 150k was also returned immediately. So it's not as if the monies were deposited.

The acc statement I submitted was dated March to August.

So you advice I get another statement of account from May to October and explain the 200k.

Another thing is that I stated 16/10/17 as my travel date. If i decide to reapply this week, should I stick to this date in my new application or get another letter from my office?
Thank you.

I reckon the large deposits he's referring to are probably those ones between 3rd and 5th July. If you stated that your salary is your only source of income, then question remains how did those credits come about? If you stated that you have a side business or receive money from other sources, family, friends, gifts etc, you should explain the source convincingly in your application. Otherwise it is considered lodgement which they frown at. However, given that the ECO misread the debit and credit entries in the statement, you may wish to capitalize on the ECOs error on those dates and reapply. Stress it that the entries on those dates he mentioned are debits and not deposits and a decision based on the ECOs error is unfair and you want a reconsideration. Hopefully they wouldn't raise the issues of those multiple 200k lodgements in July. If you can explain them, you are good to reapply, (but January to June Statement is dated o! April/May to October statement is ideal) if not, I suggest you wait a few months and ensure no bulk funds is paid for the duration you're going to print the statement.

[quote author=Brightingsus post=61190876]Kaiiiii... I have seen what the mistake is. This is ECO error. The ECO summed up your outflows and thought it was money received. Do the math yourself. Calculate all the figures, between 27th July and 24th Aug in the next column to amount received, it totals 410k.[/quote

Bringhtingsus, thank you. I also noticed it's the ECO's error which is exactly why i posted it on here for you guys to advc on what to do. And for others to learn when they're in such situation.

Good morning house, thank you all for selfless support. Please help check this out and advc on what to do as the refusal letter says no right to appeal and administrative review.

Note: I did not make nor receive deposit/s that total sum of 410,000 in my account between 27/07/17 and 24/08/17 as claimed by the ECO.

I only received 66,523.72 and 88,992.65

Thank you.

I'm really sorry but i can't. Just come up with an itinerary that groups tourist attractions together. So if you are staying in Manchester and want to go to London to see some sights, either book a hotel for one night in London or write it clearly on your schedule that you will go to so and so places in London and return by night train. When writing tourist attractions, you can't write that you will go to Alton Towers, go to water park etc on the same day. These are attractions that are full day entertainment on their own. It would also be good to put like a daily schedule so that it shows that you have done some research and are prepared rather than some random tourist attractions.

Kindly remove your mail address, scammers can be on the prowl.
Ok thanks.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by feranmi84:

It is good to group the tourist sites you want to see together such that they are in proximity. Also, where you stay has to be sort of close or easy to get to. You can't give an address in London and say you want to visit Beatles Museum in Liverpool. Even within the same city. Also, your address has to be somewhere tourists usually go to or your tourist sites are close to it. If you want to visit, then do a proper research on how much it will cost and where the tourist sites are.

I wanted to give an example of my itinerary but i changed my mind as world people can copy it word for word and cause me wahala because it doesn't follow the normal pattern.

Thanks for your contribution. Can you please send the itinerary to my email.

If your mother in law knows your sister in person as someone living in the UK. Then it is reasonable she mention her as a family friend and provide information on (your sister). Since 2012 I have been using my sister husband parents who are UK citizens as family member that I know and stayed with in the UK and I have never had any problem. In 2015, I added my sister to family member list, when she had UK Permanent Residence. In 2017, I added my wife to the family member list, after she acquired her British passport. Your mother in law would be okay because the reasons for her visit is understandable. Just hope for the best.
I am getting a clearer understanding of the family issue from you all.

@ekpotek since you did not add your sister as family earlier, did you give explanation when you added her in 2015 (i.e why you did not add her as family earlier.)

If No...

means i should just add my cousin as family in my next application without explanation for not adding him in my previous application.

Thanks to you all. I must confess, I really appreciate!

In my previous application that was refused i chose No (I do not have family). Will you advice I stick to 'NO' in my next application?

My concern is that I had plans of staying in the hotel in my last application, but planning to stay with a cousin in the course of my next visit.

Must i give reasons for chosin to stay in the hotel in my previous application?

If 'Yes',
Please, biko, ejó... help with what to say if you were in this situation.
Thanks.

Family who live in the UK
This includes:
immediate family - husband, wife, parents or children

grandparents or grandchildren

your husband's or wife's family

your child's partner or spouse

your partner, if you have lived with them for 2 out of the last 3 years

I dont have any of the aforementioned family in the Uk, but I have cousins. Does it (cousin) fall within immediate family?

Please i need clarification on this as I dont want to base my understanding on assumptions.
Thank you.

Ok thank you for this. Will definitely do as you have suggested.

I also wish to address the previous visa refusal in my next application. Thus wondering if I should include it in the space for "Additional information"

Or can I type and print it as part of documents to submit if the space provided for "Additional Info" is not enough?

Playing the devils advocate here, why did you not use your cousins address in the first place?
In fact, as at the time i submitted my application in 2014, i was not in contact with him for years. It was few months after he came to Nigeria for his wedding that I connected we him and his siblings again. So there was no way i would have said I have a family in the Uk. Should that be a problem?

UEA entry stamp does not really matter as anyone can visit Dubai if they can afford! The cost of your trip will include air ticket, accommodation, local transport event tickets etc. Since you plan to stay with your cousin, establishing this relationship will be the key to your success. So focus on that aspect.
Thanks for your swift response. Really appreciate!

You refusal was based on the fact that you choose to stay in an hotel that was very far from town and tourist sites. That hotel is normally used by transit passengers and not tourist! The funding issues was secondary, as the ECO have already decided that you do not know where you are going visit. Do you have good travel history to convince the ECO as a frequent tourist in your new application? Did you disclosed that you have a cousin in the UK your last application? To address the refusal letter, simple tell the ECO that you were naive in your last application and that you have now done extensive research on the UK this time around. List the tourist sites, its significance to you and why you love to visit. Draw up an itinerary of you day-to-day schedule in the UK. Above all, try and convince the ECO why you prefer to visit the UK and not the USA or Japan!
Thanks alot, really appreciate. Well I'm not a frequent tourist, but I've travelled to the UAE as a tourist after the refusal. Does it matter? Should i make the cost of my trip to around £1000 cos i wont be staying up to 2week and dont want the cost to be too high?

What will be new cost be? and how many months salary does that amount to?
have you not done the research as to proximity of the tourist centres to your cousins house
where does your cousin live?
which tourist centres in UK do you want to go to?
Thanks for your response!

This time I'm thinking of reducing my cost to say 500k which will be a little above 3 months salary.

My cousin lives in Kent and he said i can visit Kent and East Succex Railway, Windsor Castle, Chatham Historic Dock yard, Botany Bay, Leed Castle and other places like Big Ben, Westminster Cathedral, house of paliament, The London Eye, Tower of London.

Hello house, I once applied for a uk visa in 2014 and was invited for interview, but was refused. I learnt it is good to ensure change of circumstances before reapplying.
Thus thought i should share the refusal details on here.

"You have stated that you wish you travel to the UK for sightseeing and will stay the Arora Hotel Heathrow. This in itself leads me to question your intentions as this hotel is next to Heathrow airport and some distance away from the usual tourist sites.
You have given little indication as to how you intend to spend your time, where you intend to travel, what site of interest you intend to visit and why in particular you have chosen the UK for your holiday. I consider it reasonable to expect you to be able to drmonstrate you have some knowledge of your chosen dastination and plans. In the absence of such information it is difficult for me to make any considered judgement as to your true intentions.

I note further you are proposing to spend over 5months of your salary on this trip where you have been unable to credibly explain your reason for travel.

I have therefore refused your application because I am not satisfied, on probabilities, that you meet the requirements."

My people, in my application i stated bout 5 tourist sites to visit, but guess i was expected to state more (inexperience). And I didn't know i was expected to have vast knowledge of where I've never been to. The cost of my trip was about 700k.

Please need you all to help on how to RESPOND to this because in my next application i will like to address the refusal. Thank you.

Note: I will be staying at my cousin's house. This i believe will definitely reduce the cost of my trip as i wont have to pay for hotel.

@Jawa thanks for this.

Jawa:
daer feranmi84, please be careful with this. this should be a budget of your trip, summing up what you are contributing and what your host/sponsor is contributing. have your host give you a signed letter with what resources they are contributing to your trip and with how much. be specific with the amount. this will generally depend on how long you intend to stay and 3000 CAD should be more than enough even for a trip to expensive Montreal but be ready to show this funds clearly in your statements or your sponsor's. money is usually not an issue in a US/Canada application unless you're seeking a student visa.my opinion. best of luck
