I tested something I waited till exactly 10 seconds to auction end before I placed my bid... The auction had 0 visits and 0 bids.. and the second I placed boom huge domains came... Omo I vex put 1k bid as always the bot will auto bid it so they can pay more nonsense...

I see it's been said many times on namepros about how huge domains bot drives the price of any auction up for no reason..... Godaddy auction ehn..... I don waka go my closeout and pending in peace....

You submitted it through the wrong door.

Again I repeat, the timeline for getting a sale for these kind of domains isn't fixed, it might happen within weeks of listing it. Another possibility is that it might never sell even 5 years after.

Such type of abstract/invented domains, if they're good, you have to be ready to hold it for years. And still, no guarantee that it would sell.
Such names are popular on brandable marketplaces.

Yes. Sometimes I want to see the checkout process for domains listed on Afternic, Squadhelp, Dan, etc and I click on buy to see what customers who want to buy my domains see.
If this is what you did, then it's an honest mistake that would probably cost you your sedo account.

With sedo, once you click buy, even if you haven't paid, sedo notifies the domain owner I believe.

You can register and list on the wholesale marketplace. There are lots of people that wants to increase their portfolio and have enough money but not enough time especially foreign domainers, you will move a lot of names this way, just add little markup.

i did not have any end user sale on SH in 2021, having sold 4 in 2020. but i sold a lot of names on wholesale marketplace for $30 to 100. Although there was one buyer from UAE or so that has bought like 8 of my names. i actually listed about 30 of my names to test and then periodically play around with the pricing. i even sold one SH owned name for $50 and was surprised when the net pay if it sells (this year) won't be more than $400

Yes. I do sell on the wholesale marketplace too. That $30 to $100 go hard now o for average names. It's saturated now. And those who should buy them are having low STR due to global economic downturn.
However, wholesale marketplace is indeed good.

The thing is brandable sales (str) on SH have gone down. And then you look at the wholesale marketplace and see premium names as low as $10 struggling to find wholesale buyers.
That's a red flag for me.
Then this issue of naira card limit and deactivation...
It Hit me badly.
But I hope to register all soon. Hopefully someone else hasn't done that already.

This is the shortest guide on brandable I have seen.

Here's how I classify brandables now.
1. Compound brandables: These are basically two word combinations that sync together. Example: SavvyMint, BetterPay, FundVault, etc

1a: Alliteration compound brandables: A type of compound brandables where the first letters of both words are thesame. Example: SavvySale, BetterBuy, etc

2. Real/Single words: Food, Care, Metaverse, platform, etc.

3. Blends: Two words blended together, A real word+a suffix, etc. This can take many forms. Example: Quad+Electronics= Quadronics, Fly+Confident= Flyfident. Brand+iva (iva is an example of a suffix).
Then there's the keyword+Suffix like Zio, Zi, vi, zia, which is peculiar to Squadhelp.

4. Misspellings. This can be one word like Educatyve (Educative), or two words like MetaLyfe (MetaLife).
Interchanging similar sounding letters like I and Y; C,Q, K, etc. Crypto=Krypto, Cool=Kool, etc

5. Made up brandables. This ones like the name implies are made up. No real meaning traceable to the dictionary. Just some letters combined together to create something beautiful.
Zevero, Ancora, Drooply, Plufy, etc
Keeping it 3 syllables max is the best practice.

The thing is, if you understand vowels and consonants in English language, made up brandables wouldn't be hard for you to create.
