They chose to but go and find out what they've become in the society where they live.
Only JWs taught people to abstain from racism and politics which leads people into justifying the killing of their neighbours.
No former JW will tell you that politics is evil because that's the one and only difference between us and all other religions, so once a person turn his back on JWs he embraces politics and there's no way you can be a political without killing or approving the killing of your neighbour!

I don’t think you are getting my point. African juju is not the type you see in movies where someone disappears and appears out of the thin air. Your notion about juju is perceived through movies. It doesn’t work that way. The efficacy of African juju is the engineering of substances to alter human consciousness just the way drugs works. But on the same subject some have the abilities to alter dimensions. Infiltrate the ether and plant new ideas in peoples mind.

Jehovah's Witnesses aren't worshiping the same God with misinformed Churchgoers!
The borrowed name our first century brothers in Christ adopted "CHRISTIANS" is not what God call His worshipers. Because the group name "CHRISTIANS" simply means those practicing what Jesus Christ taught.
God already has many servants of old who never knew Jesus' teachings so they can't practice what they don't know.
Therefore if the name "CHRISTIANS" was the ideal name for God's worshipers then those ancient servants of God has lost out completely.
The group name "CHRISTIANS" was borrowed for a reason, but after God has called out all His own modern day faithful servants {Revelations 18:4} He gave us an new group name {Isaiah 65:15} that carries all His worshipers right from the time of Abel till date:
All servants of our God including Jesus of Nazareth {Revelations 1:5} we are JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES! Hebrews 12:1 compare to Isaiah 43:10-12

There's nothing like life after death! Ecclesiastes 9:4-6, 10
So it's either you live (full of activities) or die (inactivity)

Please you need to know what that group name really mean because it doesn't mean those claiming Christians but practicers of what Jesus taught! Mark 7:6-8

Throughout the earth Jehovah's Witnesses are paying our tithes but unlike the old covenant where Israelites were required to bring tenth part of their gain Christians are required to pay with their time as we must find time no matter how tight our schedule to visit our neighbours preach and teach them what Jesus commanded us. Matthew 28:19-20

He has replaced the High Priest of the old covenant so whoever is paying tithes in line with the old covenant is practicing Idolatry today, because we're to pay our tithes to Christ through the sacrifice of the time we spend in the preaching and teaching campaign for God's Kingdom.

That's why Jesus spoke about the man who has kept all the laws from his youth but refused to become one of Jesus' humble disciples who must go visiting people in their homes! Luke 18:18-23
