Travel › Re: Anambra Int'l Airport Receives Over 15 Aircrafts In One Day: Pictures by Fesotech: 6:50pm On Feb 04, 2022 |
mobilenewsnetwo: The entry of Anambra international airport has changed the aviation game in Nigeria particularly the southeast Nigeria. The airport has continued to record high volume of passenger traffic.
Just yesterday, about 15 aircrafts landed at the airport. This is something you can only see in high aviation traffic areas like Lagos and Abuja.
In a little while from now, it is projected that this airport will rank only after Lagos and Abuja international airports in passenger traffic.

[s][/s] Tap0lane: Do bullion van carry up to N250M at a go, this was the exact amount Peter Peter Obi was caught with in Lagos that he claim was contract money he paid to a contractor in cash.
Can Tinubu claim he paid a contractor cash for Lekki link bridge or can Buhari claim he paid cash to the Chinese fixing out rail or airport. If Igbos will call them fraudster for that why are they not calling the crookered Peter Peter Obi a criminal. Note the money was not caught with him in Anambra but in Lagos.
The truth is simple Peter Peter Obi is a diehard criminal. |

Bro, am not saying that the airport is not yet ready for commercial service. As a mater of fact, I am a very big fan of Obiano and the airport, I just which to see some new pictures and videos of the airport progressing. ChimaAdeoye: Bros,
The airport has been completed and is ready for commercial service. How "completed was PH airport or Enugu airport when they were opened for commercial use? An airport is ready when the critical elements of an airport are ready.. Which are; 1. Runway, 2. Control Tower 3. Fire & Safety Department 4. Emergency Clinic 5. Perimeter fencing 6. Terminal building and basic utilities as toilets, seats, lighting, carousels.
To mention landscaping and avio bridges, escalators, wall interior decorations, internal shops or even car parks which aren't even present in many so-called International airports in Nigeria as criteria to decide an airport is ready is ludicrous.
By the way, Chicago's O'Hare International airport is currently working on trains that transport people between its terminals. Currently, you have to exit one terminal and enter a bus shuttle to get to the next terminal. So in your criteria, Chicago airport is not ready to receive commercial flights because it currently has a huge construction project there building underground trains to link its terminal buildings?
I am actually very happy that they are not showing any more activities at the airport. Those people that shut down the airport should go there and verify things instead of gleaming on social media gossip sites and nairaland to justify their illegal closure of the airport. I wish the state will reinstate their no-pictures order so that mischief-makers will stop posting anything about the airport on social media to mislead people and justify the unjustifiable closure.

Yes my dear, I know that the airport has been commissioned, you and I knows that works are still on going even before the they commissioned it, for instance, the excavators, the elevators, the avio bridges, the 36 shops, interior & exterior decor of the terminal building, the fire trucks and the landscaping or have have they abandoned them? What am saying is that they should continue to be showing us what is going on there as they use to do before the election. Ka Chineke Mezie Okwu! Please oh!.... If I may ask, is our governor not visiting the airport regularly aging as he use to do. Because ever since they find she'd the anambra governorship elections, nothing has been heard or seen about the anambra airport and conference center again. Chikeluba25: Anambra is arguably the most important state in Nigeria. Even FG knows Anambra will retire Lagos if a standard Seaport is built in the state. This is why they are scared of building one in the state, and are frustrating every plane to commence full commercial flight operation at Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport.... |

Jakumo: This is a minor point, but the pictures published here show two different runways, and NOT opposite ends of the same runway. By ICAO convention, Runway 09 faces due east, while Runway 27 faces due west.
It is not possible for one end of the same runway to be designated as 09, and the other as 24. The runway heading at both ends of the same runway always face compass directions that differ from each other by exactly180 degrees. The Runway Number is 06 and 24 please, Not 09 and 24. Thank you |

ARROBA: Does anyone know whether they will install the airfield lighting and ILS before the airport is commissioned?
Without night landing lights/ILS and airfield lighting, international cargo flights won't be able to land at night. So we really need this to be installed for it to be considered fully an International Airport.
Anyone able to confirm whether they have actually started the installation of airfield lighting?
Udo diri umuigbo. yes my dear thy have started the installation of the DVOR. After that comes the ILS, then the airfield lighting. Remember that all this instruments have all been fully paid for. And most of them have arrived at the airport waiting for installation. |
