Another good news and encouragement to all here, your approval is coming soon. We got our approval this Monday. God is so good! |
Dexter4688:The weekly decisions are on this website, it is updated every Monday. Also keep an eye on your emails/phone calls https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/nigeria/our-services/visas/weeklydecisionreports/ |
Congratulations Dwebb55 and omapere!!! so happy for you. Finally some good news and I hope to hear more soon ![]() |
Any update guys |
kayus4luv2:Good choice. If this is their goal they have finally achieved it, but leaving families in the dark not knowing their faith is inhumane. |
21 decisions today. 21!!!! Non are JFV decisions. What are these people actually doing with our application at this point? Cuz it’s not making sense. If they don’t want to deal with families then scrap the whole category and focus on others. These people do not care about families, especially the ones that are from Nigeria and Ghana. For the system in Ireland to not see anything wrong in this procedure is quite unsettling. I can never advise any family to go through this emotional rollercoaster. Your family’s time with you is precious, every second of it. So if you have other countries in mind please look into them instead. |
majorbravo:Honestly those rejections are worrying. I have the same question, but since there are still updating their decisions, it’s safe to say they are still processing applications. If anyone heard or know of the current state of the embassy please do let us know. |
Seloverando:Big Congratulations on your approval!!! Please do share when you applied and what was submitted on your application if you don’t mind. Also any tips/advice will be of great help! Currently I don’t think they are answering any calls, but they do reply to emails. This is their email incase you don’t have it already AbujaVisaOffice@dfa.ie please be very detailed and make sure to include all query/questions that you may have as they may take a day or two to answer to every email you send. Hope this helps. Congratulations again to your family!! |
Good morning guys, another Monday is here. Please let’s keep each other updated. Wishing everyone good news and good luck! |
Blueberry111112:May God bless you for this post, it’s like you were listening to my conversation with my husband yesterday. Thank you for speaking the bitter truth. Abeg, I take God beg anybody that is coming to Ireland to add to what some of our people are already doing here, to please think of the people who are going through this process with no other intentions but to be with their loved ones. Think about our people abeg! It is wrong in so many levels, and we are all suffering from it. Look at what is happening in the UK currently! Please the abuse of their generosity needs to stop! I understand say Nigeria no dey try at all, but for the country that are trying, make we still dey give them the respect. They don’t ask for much, all they ask for, is you come in with pure intentions and to build your self and their society with them. The influx of Indians into Ireland is shocking, but the truth remains, they come here to build for themselves and contribute big time to the society, not to take. This application process will only get worse if we can’t help ourselves. Please, let’s do better for ourselves. Abeg! |
Olaiyatunnex:That’s the crazy part. What is it exactly they are doing with our application for months. Other countries with the same application procedure are not going through this dreadful timeframe. Something is wrong somewhere. Someone once typed here that we should not show desperation in our application, that alone goes to show how strict they are with their approval rate. Why will I not show I am desperate to have my family over to live with me. What kind of discrimination is this! Doesn’t even make sense what they are doing in Abuja. |
Olaiyatunnex:It’s 501, I really hope they get to us soon, the wait is unbearable. |
Olaiyatunnex:Mine starts with 50. |
Olaiyatunnex:Nothing yet, I just want to know if they are even making decisions on Join family visa so I can estimate the time I may get a decision for my husband’s application. No one is saying anything. How can they update 50 decisions and non are join family. When students are no longer applying, so what exactly is stoping them from attending to family? |
kayus4luv2:I applied early May. |
Yes any update from anyone, they updated decisions now. |
How can I join the group please ? I have tried reaching out? |
@femo7 I was asking my self this same question a few days ago. I started searching online for answers if anyone is listening to our cries. If you go to the Houses of the Oireachtas website : https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/search/?q=Family%20reunification%20Nigeria&sort=relevance You can literally search and see deputies asking the minister for justice questions regarding the delays In family reunification in the Abuja embassy compared to other countries. The answer they all got back was a copy and past of the same automated response we get when we email them. In other words, they literally don’t care if we are being treated unfairly. If the Nigerian government don’t do anything about this, I’m afraid we will be stuck in this same cycle. Please everyone keep voicing out this injustice, I pray we will be the change, I pray things change soon. |
I saw on their website that they are yet to appoint a new Ambassador. The last appointed Ambassador was Síle Maguire. |
@omapere nothing at all, they are not picking any of their calls. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore, than to leave everything in God’s hands. I don’t know why they are treating Nigerians like this. |
@Cyntopath I’ll try this.Thank you very much!! |
Does anyone know what is going on with the Embassy currently. They are not answering their calls. Time of operation is confusing. Email is automatic as usual. |
Oh Gosh this is disheartening. What can we do to resolve this? Eveb if it’s just to let them know we are tired and want change. I am ready to go to any protest regarding this. Discrimination and racism in this 21st century should not be swept under the rug and letting them get away with this. How can they be giving Indians and Philippians JFV in less than 1 month. Are we not humans like them? This is so unfair. |
Hi guys any update? Also does anyone know if the applications for this year are being processed in Abuja embassy or in Dublin? Guys please keep sharing your update, it’s encouraging to us who are still waiting |
