kekilika: I clicked on the MIUI version in about phone section and i entered into developer mode. Now do I download the develop ROM (version 9.6.13) and installed manually? Do I have to unlock bootloader to apply this change?
Thank you.
Nobody should laugh ooo
No you don't have to unlock BL to move to the beta ROM. Just download and install manually, note that you will lose all files. Goodluck
adamix: The two times my screen broke, tempered glass was on it, i cant deprive clearer screen for some "protection" again...never again.
Go and buy better tempered glass o, I can vouch for Mofi and chyi. Expensive but quality brands. Retains the screen display by at least 95% not all those wosi wosi TPs o.
joungblood: Hello everyone please i need some help with making a decision. I'm currently using pocophone f1 phone, I love it so much, my most favorite features about xiaomi phone is the second space, it's so very important and helpful that I'm addicted to it, it has help me alot with police, friends that like using ur fone to snap n do things, I love giving them the second space, and they can't even notice, now my problem is that, I want to buy either Samsung s10+ or note 9..but I don't know if they have this features.. Does oneplus phones have this feature / waterproof ip68 also?I don't want to loose this features so does Samsung really have this feature, and secondly is there currently any xiaomi phone that is ip68 water resistant? Please i need answers and suggestions
Samsung and OnePlus don't have second spaces. Samsung has the secure folder which is basically like app lock. It's good but nothing special. Well OnePlus phones are water proof but they lack the official IP rating so as to reduce cost. Best to go with the Samsung flagships if you want official IP rating.
alebz007: Samsung supplies most amoled panels bt dey reserve their best for their galaxy series. Thats y noone ever beats them at displays.
Very true. Compared my s9+ with my sister's S10, even the 9+ pale in comparison with it. That dynamic Amoled on the S10 series is a game changer. They indeed reserve the best panel for their flagship series
spartacus11: Using a device where u actually don't come across Ads in all of the system apps is so refreshing. I'm so impressed with Samsung, totally Ad free
mistermorex: Between Samsung A30 and RN7 which will you pick. I need advice for a friend.
It depends on what the person wants tbh, the only thing that is outstanding about the A30 is the display. The note 7 beats or at least is on par with it in all other aspects. So it boils down to the buyer as some people love brand name. I have a younger brother that wouldn't even use any device that is not samsung. Some people are just loyal to a brand.
Braket: I am not looking at the mi 9 at all. The competition has gone way past it and it's an old device now.
Band 20 isn't much of a priority tho because I could still get 4G coverage even with my infinix hot 4pro.
But would you recommend a Chinese rom? What should I be expecting. Any hope of porting to global rom someday?
I just wished my phone hasn't spoiled, I would uave waited longer to see the game going on in the phone industry well.
I would rather get S10 than OnePlus 7 seems too overpriced
I laughed at your competition has gone way pass mi 9 statement, well it's all down to choices and all that.
I can't say for sure if the k20 pro would have a global ROM one day but would I recommend a Chinese rom? Well I could say yes and No cos you might end up loving it or otherwise so I can't make that decision for you.
Was actually referring to the standard OnePlus 7 and not the pro which looks like a better value for money below $500.
Johnrake69: Boss... I have been on it since yesterday. I have given it all the permissions it needs still not working. Have done rebooting more than 5times. The note 7 didn't give me this issue at all. I'm wondering if has to do with the Chinese ROM. Because the note 7 is the global version
donprosper6: Those using miui 10 and Android pie on redmi 6 pro.. is the battery still the same with miui 9? And who have noticed that Redmi 6 pro battery lasts a bit longer than RN7's?
Of course the redmi 6 pro battery will last longer than that of the note 7 as sd625 is more power efficient than the sd660.
Ifedith: Eyes ke After u don suffer me finish. U deserve some flogging. Cus i recall the two finger swipe before. It's been resolved for long while now. Probably miui10. I can't really recall, but it's being a while since it's been resolved Bia... Nwokem, be very kiaful...
Braket: Guys I need your help here in making a decision.
I had wanted to get a Xiaomi phone since the note 7 and note 7pro came out but due to the fact that note 7pro wasn't made for international market, I chilled and waited for their next device.
Now k20 and k20pro is here again and yet the pro version didn't make it to international market again.
The reason why I am particular about the international version is because I leave in Germany and it would be nice to have something made specifically for international markets.
I am finding it difficult to compromise and go for the k20 (Mi 9T) because of the processor and how to is much behind it's pro version but since it was made for the international market, it has band 20 that the Chinese k20pro is lacking Which is kinda a big deal here in Europe for 4G network tho I can still compromise.
Should I go for the Chinese k20pro or the global k20?
If I go for the k20pro what are the things I should be expecting in terms of software. Can I port to a global rom or i will be stocked with the endless Chinese ads?
Or better still, which other brand will you recommend that is Huawei or OnePlus? Trying to ignore Huawei because of this their porting from Android.
Kindly help me in my decision making.
I would pick the mi 9 instead of going for the k20 (mi 9t). It looks like the k20 pro would be the poco f2 (all rumours and all that).
The global/chinese rom thingy is all down to preference and i doubt if chinese ads spring up while using the chinese version. If band 20 is a major priority, just do the MI 9.
You can also look at the oneplus 6t/7. Good devices.
Ifedith: I actually just used it for a few secs...and I'm already done with it, it's too cumbersome My bro uses s8... It's same implementation in Samsung's one ui. First swipe shows notification... Second swipe brings full control panel. And its same across miui if I'm not mistaken. Maybe it's a stock android thing. Or perhaps u can upload a short vid of it.
Ifedith: Pls screenshot what u mean... Cus i use Chinese rom. I get notifications from say watsapp, I swipe down to see it. I click and hold the notification. It pops up with the typing bar to write my messages. I don't use two fingers watsoever The first swipe from up down, brings the control panel with botification, second swipe brings all the control panel. I'm still on miui. Not android style.
I think if you switch to android style, you wouldn't need to hold the notification. you would just need to swipe down with a finger and do the needful. It's good one can change how notification works cos na the real deal breaker be that for me.
