My guess: Xiaomi has already made a name for themselves globally. So they believe they could put out anything and people will still buy. They are feeling like Samsung and Apple

If that chipset turns out to be true, that would be a very dumb move by them.

It looks like the redmi 8 will come with sd439, that's a total downgrade from redmi 7. What's wrong with these people?

yungsmart:
Track it

Good luck with that.

yungsmart:
RN7 is stolen. You said MOVE ON!!!!!

What would you have him do? Kill himself?

pharmtasy:

At least the last 2/3 pages.

anna081:

This is what happens when one can't be patient enough to read few pages.

Please, I got a good deal for a used Mi A1 ( 4gb 64gb) for my mama, the problem is she complaining of ads everywhere even when she opens the dialer..Please how do I get rid of them..

Probably has a malicious third party app on the phone. Or check the last app updated from the playstore, best to just do a factory reset Sha.

After launching the redmi 8a, Redmi 8 launches in India next week. These people!!!!!!

GrandMufti:
It's an unknown brand

Upcoming brand. fixed that for you.

Nhemzie17:
Can someone help with data consumption on xiaomi phones.
Planning to get one but cant be going past my 1k sub a month.
Heard miui drinks a lot of data

How can a phone be drinking data? it's literally as you pose na so you go show. It depends on what you do with your data, turn off whatever you need to and you will be fine.

IAmSkinny:
Not quite. They share the same parent.

They cater for entirely different markets sir, yes they are subsidiaries of the same company but alibaba caters for wholesale while alixpress is the retail chain. That is why i said they are different.

bobo65:
Bukkymart Bookiemart01
Mayorall
Lstar4real

These ppl could help

fixed.

IAmSkinny:
I tried ordering stuffs from Alibaba and I found out how outrageous the shipping bundle was. Item is just 24 dollars. Shipping cost was estimated to be 67 dollars! I think the supplier uses UPS shipping or so. Are there no affordable shipping alternatives out there?

Alixpress is different from Alibaba.

madgoat:
Plz the AMOLED screen on the Mi9t, is it of same brightness, sharpness and clarity as Samsung high end fones?

No.

genius43:
This people are not done this year

I give up.

Trex4:
Hello Guys Kindly Help Me Out With These Options....Im Getting A Phone After My Exams And Surely It's A Xiaomi Device:

1: MI 9t pro 130k vs MI 9 130k also both 64gb variant...

2: MI 9 at 120k 64gb variant vs MI 9t 128gb variant

3: Oneplus 6 115k 64gb variant vs MI 9t 128gb variant

4: is MI 9t pro Jumia 137k a good deal? 64gb?

Cc: genius43 gptech and fibonacci2526

OxygenOs versus MIUI? If the latter is what you prefer, then you should be looking at getting the MI 9T pro. I would go with the one on juma because it is "risk free".

yungsmart:
Wait is Grandmufti= nobody. abi na joke

Not a joke.

jboixxx:
Abi you're the God sent? It's possible o. Allow God use you for His good work bikonu.

genius43:
They want International users to buy more of Global Versions. And if you noticed they have improved in the release of more Global Versions for their devices. If na before RN8 PRO no go leave China and probably India

You have a point.

genius43:
Except Mi 9 lite. Cc9 don't also support MTN 4G as well as it's camera2api is not enabled fully. No Level 3

Na wa for these people sef, y the need for major hardware change?

Biafrareform:
Good morning all. Please I need an honest review of the Redmi Note 8.

And also recommend another Xiaomi phone higher than Note 7 aside Mi A3. Please I have a budget of 90k. Thanks

Mi CC9 should be within that bracket. Note 8 is still a new device not sure anyone has gotten it here

jboixxx:
I dreamt of someone giving me a blue gift...didn't know na RN8 o. See beauty

sanandreas:
Please I am planning to get global ROM of note 8 from fantasy store. Please the pros and cons. Help me with it

It doesn't support MTN LTE bands.

GrandMufti:
Na real 'i wish you all the best'

the guy nor dey gree say him wrong. A strange fella.

KngGezy:
All what you have said still connotes one being better than the other.
Better as in offering a better value for money than its competitors

If all you deduce from what I said is this, then I can't help you. I wish you all the best.

Gptech:
She nr fit bear again, hehehehe .

The thing weak me ooo, as if other people sef never smell Samsung devices before.

KngGezy:
Then what else is the purpose of speed test? If not that the results will determine the better device. Being that they allegedly have the same SOC. You cannot choose one to the exclusion of the others.

If you intend to prove a point make it a full point. And that is why I helped by concluding the comparison.

It's not informative enough to prove a half point. God bless you

Speed test will never determine a better device because there are many parameters to consider, the purpose of speed test is to show that a device that cost half or quarter of the other device can invariably do a job too. Or in the case where the price of both devices are both similar, one can then decide on which one to go with based on one's preference.

olayinkajnr:
Expect him to twist your words again

He tries too hard I swear, what's the correlation of better camera blah blah with speed test?

KngGezy:
This is great
Although One UI is very heavy
And compared to other phones on the same processor the sammy may be slower.
But the Sammy can run more apps simultaneously
And has a comparatively better camera, fast charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
That's how on another thread someone was comparing the A10s with Tecno Camon 12 because both of them are on the same chipset helio p22. He said A10s is slower compared to the Camon 12. I was laughing in SOC.
Nevertheless Its the truth and the more responsive a phone is the better

But this is just a speed test na and not the overall "better" device na?
