Atleast Government could turn that corridor into a green alley stretching from LASU to IDIMU. Or even making a hiking trail or jugging alley

Buying and building houses in such an environment is as good as sitting on a keg of gun powder undecided the blow back will be massive angry

And as for the greedy son of the Oba of isheri all I can say to him is that if yawa gas (explosion or demolition) history won't be kind to him
The thing is, the lands are being sold for 10 million each, and people are buying and building. Construction activities along that corridor is furious. Is like thy are in a hurry to build. They are clearing the bushes.

But these people are rich. Why not buy a good site with that money? The water along the canal is polluted. Borehole water is polluted with petrol.

Why use money buy trouble? I no understand

Nairaland GeneralIsher Pipeline Explosion: Homes Built On Pipe by fid3fid(op): 6:08am On Jan 22, 2021
Nigerians no dey hear word, why?

You remember this huge explosion that happened a few years back along the canal running through ISHERI - IDIMU?

Now these lands along the canal and pipeline are being sold for 10 Million naira. And funny enough, people are buying and building on this site. How stupid can that be?

Some folks living in the area are alleging that the son to the Oba of ISHERI is selling these lands. As you know with anything in Nigeria, it is difficult to get facts on this allegation.

Anyway, I wonder why anyone in his right mind would buy a piece of land that's polluted due to leakages from the oil pipe running along this axis?

Did Lagos state approve this constructions?

Is NNPC aware these activities in this location?

Incase of another pipeline explosion, I think there should be no sympathy for these folks. They are well-to-do, and greedy.

Yea, greatly inpite of meeting all the form m requirements from Son PC Certificate to insurance by customers . They stopped allocating funds since mid December and the queue keeps adding up. What a country!
Na wow! Wetin I go do now. I don already put hope on this Form Q... I dey calculate with 400 per $. And my bank guy dey give me assurance say 2 weeks e go pure. I don give the OPATT for the transaction.

The other option na aboki na... That one too don dey go up. Double wahala

Eriokanmi:
Hahaha....and they would be expecting customs to generate 2tr naira this year? I laaf at times when i see their declaration of revenues without considering certain variables...mirage is what I call it because non-oil earnings which make up our major revenue are being neglected. If care isn't taken, they'd not realise anything this quarter. You can't project anything on empty grounds. I wonder why some myopic sycophants aren't seeing this.

When other countries have begun the race of 2021 fiscal year, trying hard to ensure they meet their budget based on the captured variables, our country is still crawling. Since last week of 2020, the CBN had stopped giving forex allocations to banks. I wonder how they expect the SMIEs to survive and also file their monthly tax returns to FIRS when no revenues are being generated. Eventually, staff would be laid off and what does that meanhuh
Does this CBN allocation to banks affect Form Q applications?

The truth they should be able to get NIN as non Nigeria provide they have resident permit, so all foreign national living in Nigeria should have resident permit and this entitled them to get the NiN number....well am not saying this is what will happen but I guess is the closest thing to happen. I live abroad and immediately you have resident permit in that country you are entitle to their ID that you can use in any govt office in that country
Those foreigners on short term business visa nko?

The Federal Government has threatened to deactivate every sim card that is not linked to NIN at a certain date and just last night my friend who is not a Nigerian asked me if his lines will also be deactivated since he won't be able to get the national ID card because he is not a citizen of this country.

I promised to confirm for him and that's why I created this thread.

Dear Nairalanders kindly help if you have any useful information about this.

Will his lines be deactivated or there is an exception for non Nigerians?
What about Nigerians wey dey live abroad and them no get NIN. Their Nigeria line is roamed to receive call oversea.

How them for oversea go take register NIN?

The foreigners in Nigeria will have to go and present their residents permit to NIN and the CERPAC card number will be use to register them, as their data were with Nigeria Immigration Service.

A non nigerian can actually register for NIN And get the national id. Since you can provide the necessary info and documents.

Abeg, as foreigner, he enter Nigeria on a 1 month business visa. No resident permit.

You mean he can not buy a SIM card to call home, browse net?

This is just stupid policy. If you enter other countries, you fit buy SIM card for airport.

My Nigeria guys wey dey Dubai, their nigeria number is roamed on etisalat. Them no get NIN, you mean them go cut those number? The number them dey take receive OTP from bank.

Overtime a lot of Nairalanders have been asking for business ideas and i thought to put this down after brainstorming for 20 minutes.

Remember that the goal is to make daily income / passive income #NOSALARYGANG.

As time goes on i'd be sharing other business ventures I'm into, you can start something from here and build it up. You don't need anything fancy, you are in a 3rd world country...always remember that.

So let's get to it.

Keep that money.....refer to number 5, then pay your tithe to me later

1. Pure water business
get a shop with 2 solid dressers, Go to the factory and buy @ the rate of N70. Resell at the rate of 120 - 150 per bag. Supply to schools, churches, individuals...if you sell 200 bags a day, do the math.

2. POS business, (operate in a busy area but close early, e get why). This can be successfully combined with number 1. Contact baxibox.com and surepaddy (providus bank), they will put you through and supply you with the necessary hardware you need for the business... If you are starting out, you necessarily do not need a shop per se...just talk to your local carpenter to construct a small kiosk in a busy environment.

3. Biscuit business (no matter how economy be, people go chop biscuit)

4. Condom business (supply hotels and guest house across the federation)..as religious as we are as a nation we fucc like no mans business, the population keeps SOARING...

5. Local arbitrage (enter eko, look for fast moving products.strike a deal with the seller that you want to be a dropshipper..invest in a good camera phone and apps like lightroom and snapseed, join facebook 'buy and sell groups' facebook has 22M nigerians, just fucking sell something.. create fb / ig / whatsapp business / twitter / nairaland and advertise like your life depends on it).if you want to make 100k daily you need to learn facebook and instagram marketing..LOW RISK

Go here to learn Facebook marketing > trafficmastery ng. Work smart, not hard !

3. Resturant / bar & bushmeat join...during my nysc there's this joint I usually visited to drink mmanya (palmwine) or whatever its called. I spend at least 1k drinking palmy and bushmeat.

4. Foodstuff business (buy from the north, sell in the west)

5. Small chops / akara / yam / potatoes...mama chinedu don build 2 houses, she's on the third one as we speak.

6. Mini importation, this is very tricky due to the forex rate and all the bottlenecks but i will teach you how you can pass this hurdle in my next posts.

7. importation of gadgets / Phone accessories / used items... WhatsApp me for the free guide..

8. Data vending business...goto https://mobilenig.com/?ref=97 get cheap dirt data, pay bills and airtime. This business can be combined with Number 1 & 2...all you need is a mobile phone and internet connection, ATM card (GTB..most preferrable for this jab). Use jBL speakers, just dey play latest gbedu dey go..people will come around to patronize you..
I made over 300k doing this, I still dey do am sha..lol

If you want to take it online...get a good graphics designer to design something like 'BUHARI DATA SERVICES' with data prices and services u render ...lmao..u get my drift sha...then come online and start bombing...facebook...instagram...twitter..nairaland...telegram...

9. Selling of used items on jiji, nairaland, facebook market place and Olist...that your neighbour has items he has not been using for sometime...use style and ask him....take clear pictures in a nice background and upload it, out your price...your phone would start beeping from phone calls

10. DROPSHIPPING (millionaire's paradise)

Please comment and share, thank you.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THE FIGHT IS AGAINST POVERTY.

Hope it is small amount of money.

But if you tell receiver to go to Braamfontein in Joburg, there are Nigerian shops doing exchange. Even in hillbrow, exchange shop plenty. You pay into their naira account, they pay the receiver immediately, no longer thing.

What am about to explain is based on my own personal experience and that of those around me. What worked or didn't work for me doesn't mean its applicable to others. You might try and succeed. But am only here to give my own experience. Sorry, this post is gonna be long.

The lesson I want us to learn here is for us to know that working in a firm (esp banks or offices where you stay indoor from 8am-5pm) that pays you less than #120k-#150k per month with little or no assurance that after 2-3 years, you will be promoted or salary increased is a waste of your youthful age, better you start nurturing any form of legal business that you can start and manage. In view of this, I will be making some detailed Analysis and CALCULATION as I put down my experience. The analysis and calculation is to show you how "small small" business that we neglect and take not to be profitable is actually better than having a monthly paid job.
I started working in the bank around first quarter of 2016. I was excited that I got a job, hoping to start contributing financially to my family. But before I proceed, let me take us back a little for a better understanding.
Bro, this opportunity for foreign supermarket goods now dey wella for Ojo. Importers dey bring them from London.
Raisin
Sardine
Shortbread
Canned tomato
Tesco Bleach
Canola oil
Bar soap for sensitive skin
Tooth paste
Milo ( from Singapore)
Mouthwash
Spaghetti
Basmati rice

Those sellers at Trade fair dey come Ojo Alaba to pack them at low price.
There are importers at UPA, GBO and St. Peter.

Last time I bough Raisin cereal for 1250naira. Shoprite dey sell 2000+

USED CLOTHINGS
Warehouses dey for Ilufe at the back of St. Peter church were they sell London Okirika bail. Nice clothings. But them dey so am coded because custom dey raid that area to carry their Okirika bails

Opportunity plenty, but na if you bend down well you go see am.

OP what kind of business will you advise someone leaving in the northeast, Bauchi to be precise, to start with a capital of N1m?

Edit: I have no prior business experience whatsoever
Brother, opportunity plenty every where, na if you bend down well you go see am. Things plenty for Bauchi there wey people for Lagos dey find.

And NL provides you opportunity to interact with people wey dey different zones. Exchange ideas with folks on this platform. See what they are looking for. See if you can provide that.

Best to start small ... Small small... Dey gauge the runs as e dey go. Don't be greedy or in a hurry to do big and hammer, e fit burn you. if the runs dey enter, dey add small fuel.

All these people shouting supervise it yourself, I bet you will turn him to a builder because he wants to build a 3 bedroom bungalow.
by the time he uses street quacks and they build nonsense for him, then he will live with the consequences forever.
Oga get a builder, architect or other qualified professionals to handle your project. If you are trying to save cost, then give him the contract on supervision basis based on stages. Then, always come around to monitor the progress
Abeg no vex, these contractors how them they charge, per building or day pay?
