Even Libya with massive subsidy is under a lot of supply stress.As a friend told me there is always sporadic massive fuel queue I.ibya and back market price is about 3k nigeria naira while subsidise fuel is about 500 naira The choice is ours as no one in Africa now can subsidise only his country fuel without leakage to other country.

Fact is, we did not remove subsidy in 2012, when we should have. The result was that government was forced to borrow to maintain the subsidy. And that created a massive debt, and also forced the Buhari government to raid the forex reserves...just to pay for the subsidy.

The result was the subsidy being removed to at least allow the government have some spending money, otherwise things would have really been bad.

Most African countries charge as high as NIgeria, most even higher. Only five african countries have some form of subsidy on fuel, and even those, (apart from Libya that can pay for subsides and refinery upkeep without breaking a sweat because they have a very small population)...maintain it at the expense of debt. If all African countries subsidsied fuel like we do, even the oil producers, they would have collapsed economically ages ago.

Choose your wickedness...removal of subsidy with harsh price increases but the chance of improved domestic refining and more jobs, and no more borrowing to fund subsidy, or maintianing subsidy with the borrowing it entails.

What pains me is that I have two reputable nigeria class mates doing so well in the Gambia.one is a vice Chancellor of one school there,a lady professor and one is an IT expert.Some are trying to build this country and others are working hard to pull it down.I just hope the country has not move away from sanity.A bad people and bad leadership. There is nothing wrong with that bridge as most of the accident especially with long Trucks are caused by human factors.Why does the accidents only occurs at night or early morning?Simple,the Drivers are Tired and should rest.Another factor is how many of those drivers especially the Abokis among them are tested and duly certify by any body before they become Long Haul drivers,they all started as "motor boy" and became"oga driver",Some even drive under the influence of alchohol and Drugs

The funny thing is that this didn't look like it overshot the runway. What I feel happened is that the plane landed and slowed down as usual and the pilot must have made a hard turn when trying to taxi to where it will stop it now turn away from the tarred runway to the sandy side that was why the nose wheel was stuck.

God bless you bros.that was exactly what happened, that's not the runway but the taxiway to the hanger area.the run way is smother. I took off from warri yesterday with airpeacece from warri by 10am and we got to Abuja by 5pm because of this incident. The pilot has a lot of explanation to give. The funniest thing is that the minster of aviation was in the flight,after hovering for almost 30 min in Abuja we were diverted to Enugu where we waited fr bout an hour
