Celebrities / Mami Wata To Shake Up Nollywood by FieryFilm: 6:23pm On Jun 17, 2018
C.J Obasi (@fierycj ) is at it again! Nigeria's most underrated filmmaker putting Nigeria on the map again and again starting with his zero budget film OJUJU and most recently his short film adaptation of Nnedi Okorafor's story which premiered in an Oscar qualifying film festival in Germany . Watch the trailer below

In a saner climate the industry and government would be fully supporting and partnering with this dude seeing what he has achieved with so little resources

What is required to go into movie production?
How much can one invest into the production of Movie?
How much can be realized on the average?
How long does it take to engage in Movie production?
Depends on where your market is. Is it the dvd market, Africa magic and iroko market or the international market. Different budgets and different incomes. And different quality control standards.
TV/Movies / Trailer: "Hello, Rain" An Adaptation Of Nnedi Okorafor's Short Story by FieryFilm: 11:38pm On May 01, 2018
Guys, It's been over 16 months of work! From receiving the option to adapt this gorgeous story by the visionary @nnediokorafor, to an extensive scripting and pre-production, with a team so dedicated, so imaginative and talented, to a production so demanding of blood, sweat and the splitting of back bones, to 8 months of post production with some of the most disciplined guys I've ever had the privilege of knowing.

Working on this has been the most challenging, heartbreaking, beautiful lesson-filled experience of my career. Special shout to the lead actors - you ladies are the best witches anyone could ever ask for. To @simplyoge you're the best producer in the country, and this isn't even up for debate anymore. You're not a noisemaker, but all your work is always a testament to how far one can go, with just a little imagination, perseverance and resourcefulness. I love you, Girl. To my amazing crew, and everyone who worked on this project, I owe you guys more than you know. I love you guys. And as always, you remain gods in my book!

Last but by no means least, to Nnedi Okorafor for an unprecedented belief and trust. Without you, this would have never happened. To everyone who laboured, supported and said a kind word and prayer, this is for you. Thank you.

Ladies & Gents, I present to you our labour of love - the Official Teaser Trailer of our afrofuturistic short film Hello, Rain - Movie, world premiering at the Oscar-qualifying International Short Film Festival Oberhausen @kurzfilmoberhausen on May 6. TV/Movies / My Film O-TOWN Screening At Göteborg Film Festival, Sweden. by FieryFilm: 9:07am On Jan 16, 2016
"Tough-guy Peace and his two cronies try to climb the crime ladder in this stylised action comedy, reminiscent of Tarantino's early work. The underworld in the east Nigerian city of Owerri, or "O-town", is populated by petty thieves, pimps, pushers and a local celebrity in the form of "The Artist", a rapper with delusions of grandeur. From the top of the hieararchy, mob kingpin "The Chairman" controls everything – even though Peace would like to change that. Just as in his debut, the zombie flick Ojuju (2014), director C. J. Obasi displays playfulness, charm and humour in this reference-studded genre experiment loosely based on his own youth in Owerri."
