ayomideking:Honestly you have a comprehension problem, did I say Festac is better than Ikeja? I was only talking about longevity which means how long something has existed, the man I quoted said Festac is not a newly developed area, then I used the longevity of Ikeja, lagos island Oshodi to counter him. |
Floda:How is festac not a newly developed area? Can you compare the longevity of Festac with places like Oshodi, Ikeja, Isale Eko, Mushin and the rest. Development there started in the late 1970s to early 80s hence, it's a new part of Lagos. |
Your state. |
michaelandre:Alaye calm down, Yoruba no too many for Festac. |

ayomideking:Yea, it's a very calm district, the road network is great it's actually a newly developed part of Lagos, most of the roads are intelocked roads, like the ones you See in some parts of VI and Lekki. It's closer to Mile 2, Okota, Ago palace. *It's very quiet with educated and middle-class people contributing a larger percentage of the population (more than 80%) * The people there are largely Ibo and SS minorities.(Yorubas no too dey live there) * You can connect to the island through the Oshodi-Apapa expressway. |
Power, gratitude and family. |
harqinhola:Surulere is not as affluent as you guys portrait it to be online, I like the fact that you single out some districts, now if you remove the parts you single out, starting from Akerele shita, ojuelegba, lawanson, ijesha, Ishaga, Idi-araba and other parts towards Mushin, there is nothing left in Surulere, that's like 60% or more of the whole of Surulere. Even the parts that looks slightly decent are not really that affluent, is it the rotten Alaka and Iponri neighborhoods? Bode thomas and Adeniran are majorly business districts... Abi the ever busy stadium neighborhoods. I think it's wrong to put Surulere in the same sentence with Lekki, I actually don't know much about Magodo. Make op loose guard enter Ojuelegba for night make boys snatch his phone. Surulere connects the island with the mainland, that seems to be the only major good attribute of Surulere. Op, Festac Town is a very nice district, it's very calm, less population and serene. |

GeneralPula:Nigeria and hype, how can you win the world best with average performance playing for average teams ? He had his best performance for fernabache, a team that isn't popular in European competition... How can someone playing for fernabache or Psg(that isn't known then) win the world best? Shut it and stop crying of racism. Below is okochà career statistics, he managed to score just 100goals across all the clubs played for.. https://www.transfermarkt.com/jay-jay-okocha/profil/spieler/3708 |
ImpregnaTor:Okocha is not the owner of Betking, man is just a brand ambassador. Same thing applies to Kanu and Sportybet. There is no scamming in sport betting. |
Kriss216:Alaye calm down, I want decorum on my thread, can you see the difference between your comment and the rest? No swear words please |
Lately I've been contemplating doing Small size Oshole (ritual) as things are hard and am already approaching the Mid 20(s) with nothing to show. I felt am getting old, lots of pressure on me, I'm really hungry for success, these yahoo bois are oppressing legit men in town, forget, Yahoo is now part of our culture in Nigeria, really part and parcel of our system.. big time, albeit am not a yahoo apologist. So I had this dream yesterday, in this very dream, a spirit appeared before me and warned me not to do it, the spirit iterated that good days are ahead, shortly, that I should calm down. Then another part of me was telling me not to listen, that he spirit might be all those evil mama in the village... Please advice me.... Lalasticlala Mynd44 Dominique |
Homosexuality is inbuilt, it's not a choice. Our God dey create sha. |
qtguru:Sadly there is nothing left on the section again.. |
preshman22:You are happy the way things have gone? |
The first woman is effortlessly beautiful. |
I mean 99% of active members lately are men, the remaining 1% are trolls and scammers hiding under the F sign. This section wasn't like this five years back, it was super hot then, with lots of events and fun activities happening live on the section, from Mr Nairaland, Miss Nairaland, End of the year party, get together party, interviews and lots more... Now, the section is completely useless, not serving it's purpose, no thanks to the red pillers. To the degenerates red pillers in the house, are you guys really happy how things have gone? |
Funny, this is how folks on SM should be expressive irrespective of Gender, but sadly this section, Romance section is trash. The section is now one way, 99% of active members here are male, the remaining 1% are female viewers and Men hiding behind the F symbol No thanks to degenerates that calls themselves Red pillers, this is not how this section was 5 years back. The romance section is the most useless section on nairaland, it's not serving it's purpose. |
You want to cross to spain abi ? |
daveP:Was he even in the Top 5 when he was fit? For someone that is far Better than Haaland. Hahaha |
This one nah stadium? |
daveP:Lord Osimhen is not in top 25... https://www.topscorersfootball.com/serie-a |
uthlaw:Bro are you an intermediary/football agent? |
Taiwo Awoniyi should be more focused on making a name in the bundesliga, and shun any call up into the aimless super eagles, a team that lost at home to CAR farmers. A situation where you got defeated at home to a country that doesn't have a stadium of her own, then other teams would be very happy to have you as an opponent. Even if dey narrowly finish as the runner up of group D and dem go draw them with these hungry young Malian boys, no be disgrace that one go end? |
Taiwo Awoniyi (whom I really love ) got lots of offers from premier league clubs but Jurgen Klopp adviced him to take the Union Berlin offer. Yesterday one Hypeman was so sure that Taiwo would have make the liverpool starting lineup, No, he wouldn't, infact Origi, Firmino, Jota, minamino(thought not a striker) would be ahead of him in the pecking order, (even in the absence of the aforementioned strikers, Klopp would prefer an inexperienced academy player to Awoniyi). Many thanks to klopp, his advice appears to be yielding a positive result. Now, I think these HYPEMEN should limit their hype to Lord Naples and the rest. On behalf of Taiwo Awoniyi, we don't want your hype, hype that doesn't hold water, Awoniyi is someone I've seen, when he was playing on a rough secondary school pitch. Thank you. |
Erling Braut Haaland after 6 games got injured and was ruled out for weeks and man still retained the second spot on the bundesliga goal scoring chart (untill yesterday when schick displaced him). Our very own Lord Naples was no where to be found on the serie A top 15-20 goal chart barely 2 weeks after being ruled out. The thunder that will fire some HYPEMEN on this thread is still warming up. Kudos to Dusan Vlahovic, man been scoring goals with reckless Abandon, really kudos. |
Top 5 safest districts in Lagos. Ikoyi : dubbed the billionaire paradise, had a goosebumps on my first visit here. Victoria island : though a larger percentage of this district are business areas, headquarters of cooperate organisation, clubs and bars. Festac Town : chai, this place is too calm. Lekki phase 1 : Luxurious district. Ikeja Notable mention : Gbagada, Sururele. |
I've been to lots of places in this beautiful state of Lagos, I would say 80% of Lagos state (except Badagry, Epe, and few places in Alimosho) These are the top 5 dangerous districts I visited in my short Sojourn in Eko Akete. (1), Mushin : with the exception of Ilupeju and Ladipo, anyone that is conversant with Mushin can attest to the fact that Mushin is a very dangerous place, especially Idi-oro, known for housing one of the biggest ghetto in Lagos... Awon ti AKALA connect. (2), Oshodi : very much similar with Mushin but more populated, even the new age Bus terminal couldn't hide the rugged nature of Oshodi. (3), Bariga : had nasty experience here, from sick looking guys trying to extort money from innocent people in the market square to street fight. (4), Shomolu : ditto with Bariga. (5), Ijora Badia: this district is just too rough. Lalasticlala mynd44 |
This school appears to be a reputable school with what I read online about them, one of the best school in Lagos state.. I really do hope they can bounce back, but sadly the hungry Nigerian media sphere has done a really great damage to the image of the school (beyond repair) Yes, the school loose guide big time, but the recent development surrounding this issue is needless, I mean, stuffs like, revealing the owner of the school with bad captions.... Is that going to change anything? The school management didn't notice this small loopholes, we can't blame them, cultism is strange in Luxury private colleges. May the soul of the young promising boy continue to rest in peace. |
