Top 10 Bedroom Mood Killers It would be nice if we were all constantly brimming with unrequited passion like Edward and Bella ... aren’t they having the longest pre-shag OF ALL TIME? But we’re not. Which makes keeping the mood once you’ve caught it all the more important. 1. Bad breath. While funky arm pits can be a turn on and sweat a useful lubricant, bad breath is never cool. Keep breath mints in your bedside drawer at all times, along with the condoms. Also follow the basic rule: if you’re not sure, your breath is probably a bit dodge. Oh, and minty lube might work in a pinch. 2. Washing machine kissing. I have never found someone who actually likes a tongue tonsil scrubbing. You? Exactly. Keep your tongue where you can still feel it. And start slow. You can’t go wrong with a slow, tension-building snoglet. 3. Stampeding south One of my favourite lines ever is from The Meaning of Life is when the Cleese school master character is teaching sexual education, with the help of his wife. “No need to go stampeding for the clitoris, boy, give the girl a KISS!” My thoughts exactly. 3. Terrible music This is obviously quite subjective, so I asked my Twitterstream to give a few examples. They suggest avoiding, inter alia: - The Macarena - ‘He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother’ - ‘Don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?’ - ‘I’m a Barbie girl, in a Barbie World...’ - ‘Pump up the Jam’ - ‘Like a Virgin’ - De La Rey You get the picture. 4. Farting Actually, on second thought, that might actually be quite a sweet ice-breaker, if you’re both nice and it doesn’t smell too bad. 5. The phone Tell me you don’t answer the phone during sex. A friend once told me a guy texted while she was going down on him, but I hope that was just a horribly bad dream. 7. The TV, the laptop, the iPad... Again, all totally unacceptable. Unless of course, you are porn folk. Then hey, go right ahead. 6. Children knocking on the door Or, much much worse, children STANDING IN THE DOORWAY. 7. Inappropriate gestures So obvious, yet such a regular passion killer, possibly because filters are rarely at optimum setting while turned on. Rule of thumb? Don’t compare anything to your thumb. Or shrug. Or – and I can’t stress this enough – ROLL YOUR EYES. 8. Cats It’s creepy to have sex with a cat in the room, dude. It just is. 9. Snorting Many, many animal like noises are sexy in the bedroom. Snorting is not one of them. 10. Snoring Like snorting, snoring is never good. Drop Ur experience |

At least 36 killed in crush at Chinese city's riverfront as witnesses say they rushed to catch money thrown from a nightclub A New Year’s celebration on Shanghai’s famous Bund that turned into a stampede has left at least 36 people dead, authorities say - the worst disaster to hit China's biggest city in recent years. More than 40 people were also injured as hundreds of thousands of revellers crammed on to the Bund, Shanghai's colonial-era riverfront promenade, for the annual light show.Early reports said the crowd surged to catch bank- notes thrown from an upper-floor window of a nearby building, believed to be the smart Bund 18 nightclub, to create excitement. The notes were made to look like US dollars but were in fact coupons. China’s state news agency Xinhua said the results “went astray”. Shanghai’s Bund, which was once China's financial centre and many of whose pre-1949 Art Deco buildings have been converted into high-end boutiques and restaurants, is one of the most famous riverside attractions in China, and a traditional gathering place for celebrations. But there have been previous concerns about overcrowding, and this year's laser show was supposed to have been cancelled. “There were too many people on the Bund platform,” one person said. “The crowd began to evacuate and suddenly there was a stampede. Those who fainted were directly stomped on. Some were vomiting blood.” Most victims were “young people in their 20s”, authorities announced. The youngest was said to be 16. One reporter from the Southern Weekly newspaper said that he was approaching the Bund at around 11.30 when the incident began. He thought about leaving but “it was very difficult already… women and babies’ crying could be heard, and anxiety was spreading. Someone tripped on the stairwell, and panic spread." The reporter eventually made his escape by climbing on to a rubbish bin and scrambling up a six foot-high wall. Most of the victims died as the crush enveloped the area. Witnesses said they heard people shouting "Back off", and that after ten minutes the crowd calmed and receded to allow rescue teams in. Cui Tingting, 27, said she had picked up some of the bank notes but had thrown them away when she realised they were not real. "It's too cruel. People in front of us had already fallen to the floor, and others were stepping all over them," she said.China’s president Xi Jinping ordered local officials to “treat the injured with all disposable forces and take care of the aftermath” while the prime minister, Li Keqiang, urged authorities to “comfort the families and strengthen security at crowded places.” Even as emergency crews attempted to rescue survivors, China’s censors attempted to prevent non- official views of the tragedy emerging, and emphasize the role of authorities. On social media, users speculated about the reasons for the disaster, while images of victims receiving emergency treatment were deleted. Others blamed local politicians for the disaster: “This was last year’s National Holiday. Why can’t Shanghai learn from it? Shanghai’s Party Secretary should kneel down and apologize,” was a popular question. Others questioned the figure for the number of dead, which was initially given by state media as 35. “Thirty-five, what a magical number,” a writer noted, referring to a Chinese urban legend that claims any death toll above this refers a Party Secretary to the central disciplinary authorities. “Thirty-five dead in the Shanghai stampede, 35 killed in the Wenzhou high-speed train accident, 35 dead in the Henan coal mine accident and in the storm in Yunnan.” The figure was subsequently updated to 36. Like the old saying goes " one day one day monkey go go market hin no go return".............yesterday in the evening around 8pm, two young guys were leaning on a car when suddenly a keke napep stopped right at their front, then about 5 local thugs came out with cutlasses and local guns....... They demanded that the boys should hand out their phones, the boys obeyd and gave out the phones, one of the phones is believed to be over 200k and was a gift given to the boy by his dad who bought it for him from dubai.... just when the thiefs are about to leave, one of the boys begged them to please give them back their sim card and go with the phones......the thiefs felt insulted and gave the boy some dirty slaps saying words like "buro ubanka da sim din". Soon after they left the boy who's house was there just brought a hilux parked inside, together with his frend they trailed the thiefs, soon the caught up with them( at this time they were not speeding cos they dnt knw they were being followed) the boys patiently followed them and was waiting for the right opportunity, just when their napep was around a transformer which I fenced with blocks, the boys hit+pressed the keke napep until the napep hit the fence, lost balance and tumbled over, the boys to suffered as the had a hard time bringin their vehicle to a stop. People rushed and brought the thiefs out, but immediately the boy came out and explained that they were their, soon more evidence was found as the mob saw cutlasses and guns.......... The thiefs at this time have suffered injuries like broken hands and legs but the angry mob felt no pity and started beating shege out of them.........because the boy was influential he called his dad who called up the police who came in minutes, but not as quick enough for the thiefs because they were almost lifeless when the police came and picked them out...............I believe that out of the six of them (including driver) only one will survive ownin to the medical staff are currently on strike?......... Worst the keke which was brand new and worth over 400k ended up with parts beyond repair!.........the case is now handled by the police.....I was nt with my phone at the time of the incident but got this pics this mrning......information reaching me that 3 of them died yesterday!....question is; when asked by God what their last moments on earth was like wat will they say ? God help us to do right thing always

More than 40 bodies have been retrieved in the search for the AirAsia jet, the Indonesian navy has said as debris spotted in the Java Sea was confirmed as belonging to the plane. Earlier, Indonesian officials coming off a helicopter on Borneo island said they have recovered several bodies floating in waters near where the missing AirAsia flight was last seen. Images on local television showed at least one bloated corpse. The bodies, swollen but intact, were brought to an Indonesian navy ship, National Search and Rescue Director SB Supriyadi told reporters in the nearest town, Pangkalan Bun. The corpses did not have life jackets on. Relatives of passengers began crying hysterically and fainting as the footage was aired. Government security officials carry a family member of passengers onboard missing AirAsia flight QZ8501 after she collapsed at a waiting area in Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, December 30, 2014. (Reuters) At least two distraught family members were carried out on stretchers from the room where they had been waiting for news in Surabaya, Indonesia’s second largest city - the take-off point for the aircraft that disappeared during a storm on Sunday, Agence France-Presse reported. An air force plane also spotted a “shadow” on the seabed believed to be the missing AirAsia jet, Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency chief said. A government official (L) tries to calm a family member of passengers onboard AirAsia flight QZ8501 at a waiting area in Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, December 30, 2014. (Reuters) “God blessed us today,” Bambang Soelistyo told a press conference. “At 12:50 the air force Hercules found an object described as a shadow at the bottom of the sea in the form of a plane,” he said. Items resembling an emergency slide, plane door and other objects were spotted during an aerial search in the morning. “We spotted about 10 big objects and many more small white- colored objects which we could not photograph,” Indonesian air force official Agus Dwi Putranto told a press conference earlier on Tuesday. This aerial view taken from an Indonesian search and rescue aircraft over the Java Sea shows floating debris spotted in the search area. (AFP) “The position is 10 kilometers from the location the plane was last captured by radar,” he said. More floating debris spotted in the search area. (AFP) He displayed 10 photos of objects resembling a plane door, emergency slide, and a square box-like object. An AFP photographer on the same flight that spotted the debris said he had seen objects in the sea resembling a life raft, life jackets and long orange tubes. At least 30 ships, 15 aircraft and seven helicopters were looking for the jet carrying 162 people, said Indonesia's Search and Rescue Agency chief Henry Bambang Soelistyo. Most of the craft were Indonesian but Singapore, Malaysia and Australia contributed to the effort. Aircraft from Thailand planned to join Tuesday's search. Relatives of passengers onboard AirAsia flight QZ8501 cry in a waiting area at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya December 29, 2014. (Reuters) The U.S. Navy is also joining the search. It said in a statement that the USS Sampson, a destroyer, which was already on an independent deployment in the Western Pacific, and will arrive in the area later Tuesday. China announced that a navy frigate already on patrol in the South China Sea and aircraft to help the search. Pilot of Navy airplane CN235 M. Naim holds a map to co-pilot Rahmad while flying over the Java sea during joint search operations. (Reuters) Australia said Tuesday it was sending two more Orion aircraft to join the search, bringing Australia's total contribution to three Orions. A member of the Indonesian military looks out of the window during a search and rescue (SAR) operation for missing Malaysian air carrier AirAsia flight QZ8501. (AFP) Minutes later, the jet was gone from the radar without issuing a distress signal. The plane is believed to have crashed into Indonesia's Java Sea, but broad aerial surveys so far have turned up no firm evidence of the missing Airbus A320-200. On Monday, searchers spotted two oily patches and floating objects in separate locations, but it was not known any of it was related to the plane that vanished Sunday halfway into what should have been a two-hour hop from Surabaya, Indonesia, to Singapore. The area is a busy shipping lane. Officials saw little reason to believe the flight met anything but a grim fate. Based on the plane's last known coordinates, the aircraft probably crashed into the water and "is at the bottom of the sea," Bambang Soelistyo said Monday. Still, searchers planned to expand their efforts onto land on Tuesday. A storm alone isn't going to bring down a modern plane designed to withstand severe weather. But weather paired with a pilot error or a mechanical failure could be disastrous. Pilots rely on sophisticated weather-radar systems that include a dashboard display of storms and clouds, as well as reports from other crews, to steer around dangerous weather. "A lot more information is available to pilots in the cockpit about weather than it ever was," said Deborah Hersman, former chairman of the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board. But the technology has limits and sometimes information about storms "can be a little bit stale." Authorities monitor progress in the search for AirAsia Flight QZ8501 in the Mission Control Center inside the National Search and Rescue Agency in Jakarta December 29, 2014. (Reuters) The captain, Iryanto, who like many Indonesians uses a single name, had more than 20,000 flying hours, AirAsia said. People who knew Iryanto recalled that he was an experienced military pilot, flying F-16 fighters before shifting to commercial aviation. His French co-pilot, Remi Plesel, had been in Indonesia three years and loved to fly, his sister, Renee, told France's RTL radio. "He told me that things were going well, that he'd had a good Christmas. He was happy. The rains were starting," she said. "The weather was bad."

AirAsia Flight QZ8501 Plane Wreckage Found In The Sea; Several Bodies Recovered The Airasia flight QZ5801 plane which was reported missing has been found on the sea. The bodies of several victims have been recovered from the missing AirAsia flight, the Indonesian Navy said. Objects resembling parts of the plane, as well as what was thought to be the plane’s outline underwater, were seen in the search area. “There was a man swaying on the waves. After I looked at the photo carefully on my laptop, I understood it was a human body,” a lieutenant of the Indonesian Air Force told local media. The bodies so far found have been brought to an Indonesian Navy ship, National Search and Rescue Director Supriyadi told. The corpses were swollen, but intact, and did not have life jackets on, he said, as cited by AP. Several family members of missing passengers burst into tears or fainted when they saw footage of bodies floating in the water.---- Updates Coming Up!!! |

The sooner you try out these tips, the more prepared you will be for the holiday foods. 1. Activity compensates for extra calories Give yourself the gift of 30 minutes of exercise a day. In addition to burning calories, exercise also helps to relieve tension – so you are less likely to eat to control holiday stress. 2. H20, H20, H20 A little water goes a long way – small sips throughout the day are a smart way to keep well hydrated. It acts as a shock absorber and joint lubricant, helps to transport nutrients and eliminate waste, and works in regulating body temperature. Even better, water has no fat, no calories and no cholesterol. 3. Be a food snob Don’t waste precious calories on everyday chips or biscuits. Be selective and choose only the foods you really love, or that you associate with the season. 4. Bundle flavours Variety might be the spice of life, but it is also a recipe for overeating. Bundle together similar flavours. For instance, put only salty (or meaty) foods on your plate at once. You will grow tired of that specific flavour more quickly and end up feeling satisfied on fewer calories. 5. Pare down those portions Try to keep your portions small and make only one visit to the table. Choose the smallest plate possible. Pile greens and other tasty veggies on your plate first, leaving just a little room for those high-calorie treats like sweets and cheeses. Eat small, lower- calorie meals during the day so you can enjoy a special treat later – just make sure you do not starve yourself for the party and overeat later. 6. Step away from the table If you don’t put your choices on a plate, you have no idea how much you are really eating. The worst thing you can do at a party is stand around the table dipping into the bowl. 7. Drink slimmer Alcohol is a double whammy during the holidays. It tends to weaken your resistance when it comes to eating, and the calories in drinks add up quickly. Sip on a glass of water between cocktails. 8. “I paid for it, so I’m going to eat it” Don’t feel as if you need to clean your plate just because you paid for it. Put part of your meal right away into a take-home container. Portion sizes in restaurants can be two to three times the amount you need. Instead of the usual starch and vegetable sides, skip the starch and double the veggies instead. Stop eating as soon as you begin to feel full. 9. Zen Yourself Holidays can be stressful. Keep expectations for the holiday season manageable. Organise your time and make a list and prioritise the important activities. Be realistic about what you can and cannot do. And don’t forget to schedule some down time to relax. 10. Slip, don’t slide If you eat three helpings of mashed potatoes and half a pie, all is not lost. Rather than polishing off the rest, learn from your slip-up. Next time, eat a salad first, start a conversation, and park yourself far from the danger zone. The next time starts today. http://m.news24.com/nigeria/Lifestyle/10-tips-to-stay-slim-over-Christmas-20141222 |

thorpido:I am studying at the state university, but yes my dad is from Gombe even though my mom is from Imo, that makes me a northerner I bet? |
It was a normal morning for everybody in Gombe, with the christmas up's and down's as the major difference. I and my mom went to a poultry farm and bought a number of chickens, my mom dropped me at tashan Dukku as we at could'nt dress that number of fowls on time, because they sometimes take some parts of the chicken I was asked to stay behind and keep watch. Because the place was all smelly, dirty and with flies all over I had to stay at a distance. I had my headphone on with full volume, after some minutes, I heard a very loud and thundering sound with the grounds shaking, then dust covered everwhere up, there was panic everywhere, understanding what happened I just paid the guy and started looking for keke napep as I cud no longer stay, but non was available. Soon there was a mobilisation of the youths who started helping the wounded, I saw them carrying many wounded but particularly have seen ones with broken legs with flesh alround and a guy came running with flesh all on his shirt indicating the flesh that fell on him from the blast, in less than 10min the JTF where there and where pin pointing themselve, just then I got the napep, that was when I heard some people saying that bomber has bin caught and the mob want to set him ablaze. The napep guy was almost crying when he told me that he just dropped a woman with 3 kids in that same area where the explosion. We left immediately the force started their raid. I just want to give thanks to God for saving me because I was very close and if not because I had loud noise I might have acquired temporal deafening. Things like these were always on news I never thought I would happen this close to me. I THANK GOD FOR SAVING ME! |
Jesus! I take time to appreciate the lord for saving me from today's bomb blast as I was also in tashan dukku, just around the explosion site. I also sympathize with the families that have lost their dear ones in the unfortunate event and I pray for quick recovery for those that have bin wounded. God take complete control!!! |
Portugal and Benfica great Eusebio has passed away at the age of 71. Born in Mozambique in 1942, Eusebio was brought to Portugal by Benfica head coach Bela Guttman, who signed the player in 1961 after making a personal trip to Africa to see him play. The attacker, nicknamed 'the Black Pearl' and 'the Black Panther,' went on to become a legend for both club and country, winning 11 Primeira Liga titles, five domestic cups and the 1962 European Cup with Aguias, as well as inspiring Portugal to third place in the 1966 World Cup. With his speed, power and skill, Eusebio was an unstoppable force in the Portuguese league and averaged more than a goal a game, hitting 319 in just 313 league appearances and remains Benfica's all-time leading scorer. His talent saw him finish top scorer in Portugal six times, twice win the European Golden Boot (1968 an 1973) and be named European Player of the Year in 1965 as Benfica became a powerhouse of European football. Eusebio's exploits were not restricted to just domestic level. He earned 61 caps and scored 41 times for Portugal, most notably finishing the 1966 World Cup as one of the stars of the tournament. He scored nine times to secure the Golden Boot and also netted as his side overcame the Soviet Union 2-1 to seal third place. After 15 years at Benfica, Eusebio played out the remainder of his career in North America, representing a number of teams in Mexico and the USA before retiring in 1978. The former striker is regarded as one of the finest to play the game and was placed ninth in Fifa's 'Player of the Century' poll. Cristiano Ronaldo was among those paying tribute to Eusebio, writing on his Twitter account: "Always eternal, Eusebio, rest in peace." Reports in Portugal indicate that he passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest in the early hours of Sunday morning. |
