I received the message below from UKVI this night after I contacted them, my 15 working days is still Friday but decided to contact them.

Can you please further explain what it means.



Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.

With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision. We understand how frustrating these delays are and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

You will be contacted by the Visa Application Centre (VAC) when your passport is ready for collection. Do not attend the VAC until you have been invited to do so.

You are not required to book any travel before you apply or before a decision is made on your application. You’ll only be refunded if we have not started processing your application.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.

If it's 4 months back, the ukvi will count 28 days back from the last date of transaction on the account

As at when you submitted your application, on the date you submitted was your maintaince funds still complete?
Because I'm assuming it's exchange rate that made it come down?

With the statement that is absolutely fine, the minimum is 28days, if you submit more that's also okay

2. Please request for an updated CAS to show the additional payment you have made so it balances out.
Also include any receipts for that in your documents

You have 3 options

1. Ask the school to move that towards accommodation and stay on campus for a few months so it covers the gap

2. Pay for a few months on accommodation in Uni, even if it is 1month so it balances out

3. Do nothing and hope the ECO doesn't pick on that (A big risk to take and I personally wouldn't advise it)

Point based system is so easy to regulate (Spotting a POF that doesn't meet the criteria is easy)

If the rate affects your POF and you need to increase it then you will need to start your count over

An alternative is to pay more deposit to your Uni and request for an updated CAS showing the correct fee
