no racism here. Yoruba people owned these tv and radio stations in Lagos State

The info is irrelevant. What were you expecting that we do with the info?

Just like making a list of factories in Kano then adding at the end that Hausas own all the companies . Who you not ask yourself why that was said?

That's quite mischievous if you askbme

99.9% of the private radio stations in Lagos State are been owed by Yoruba people

This is a very unnecessary thing to say. Just what are we to do with this info?

How you people gradually bring tribes into everything lately is appalling. It's all fun and cruise yeah? Continue sowing that seed which we germinate into our children's children's heart. That we will no longer see ourselves as brothers and sisters.

Wait. Aren't we the complaining about Rasicm ?

The government is indirectly telling some of the people who are hawking those things to go into crimes.
High crime rate is in offing

I don't get why Nigerians do this. I expect that with our level of education we should know better.

You can't always make excuses for this ills. If them comot agbero, crime go plenty.

If dem ban Okada, crime go plenty . They did and what happened?

So, the government shouldn't do what is right? If a ban affects one, the next thing is to start having ill and negative thoughts? You want to use that to justify crime . Well, once caught, it's Gulag straight. Such excuses don't and will never make sense

Many Yoruba girls are into such jobs across all the Middle Eastern countries.

It's bewildering to see some yoruba boys/girls taunting others about travelling to Lagos for greener pastures.

Wouldn't attribute any of it to a particular race. I haven't found myself having to insult or shame
tribe over someone's doings .

Nigerians will do all sorts of things to leave Nigeria. It's just so appalling that our Politicians are seeing this and are just non chanlant . A serious country will checkmate itself and see what they are doing wrong
Career / Re: Inside Lagos Factory Where Workers Stand For 12 Hours Daily To Earn N1,500 by FILEBE(m): 4:50pm On Jan 05
A single mother of four in her late 40s, Funmi, admitted that the work is too tedious, particularly when one considers the amount that is paid in return. But she said she could not stop coming because she wanted to save the proceeds from the factory to travel to Iraq and become a housemaid, a caregiver or a surrogate mother.

She said: “I have a target. Once I am able to save enough money, I will travel to Iraq to work either as a maid, a caregiver or a surrogate mother. I have made enquiries about Iraq and I learnt they are liberal. You don’t have to wear hijab like in Saudi Arabia.”

See how bad Nigeria has become that being a maid in Iraq becomes an option.

Politicians aren't seeing this.

The numerous crimes they commit there from Housing Insurance frauds, Health Insurance frauds, child molestation etc is the reason UK is beginning to shut their doors.

Truth is bitter.

Please i beg of you. Stop the tribal profiling or whatever. I am not one for that. What do you mean by the numerous crime "They" committed? They as how? Crime isn't a monopoly of any tribe. I wouldn't see any criminal for its tribe . So should you.. Drugs, cultism, frauds perpetuated by people in Malaysia, USA , Dubai and others aren't a representation of the tribe.

Good! Very very very Good!. We can't be having this every goddamn time and it will be swept under the carpet like it never happened . Cristains say they are being victimized in the north. Why should we allow that to happen? No religion is greater than any other in Nigeria. Islam shouldn't trample on Christianity and Christianity shouldn't do the same. How difficult is that to achieve?

This killings have been going on for a long time, Benue, Plateau, Nassarawa , Kaduna, kano and others but wr haven't seen them parade these culprit not to talk of catching the perpetrators.

How has human life become some inconsequential to us that we won't feel it when it's lost? A working country will swing into actions, gather Intel and fish out these people. They are also human beings . Find out the motives for these killings and put an end to it .

My heart goes to the people of Plateau and everyone victimized in this world. We can't do much but we call on authorities , expose these evil elements to curb all these. Thank God for Social media. Everyone should speak out!

Let's say the truth to ourself . Solomon Buchi was all over Twitter yesterday about these killings. It would take an incompasionate someone not to feel his pain. Some Muslims still came and started attacking him. If it didn't happen, he wouldn't talk. It happened and he talked . If Islam.is being accused of all these, wouldn't it be better if you do better and prove them wrong about the religion being peaceful as said?

Cross over to a new year and lot of things will happen in that new year. For example; if you die next year (God forbid), people won't say you die a year before or after, they will mention that year as your demised year. So, whatever happens to you that next year would be credited to that year and is it not good to be in the presence of God at the first moment of that year?

We are the ones that attached numbers to days. It is just one continued cycle. Nothing special.

Myer:

What makes you think either was untrue?
At the end of the day, it's our prerogative to do with information whatever we please especially in a country where it isn't regulated.

Point is, some persons whether IPOB or others hijacked the protest and it exploded into a wild fire that cascaded burnt autopsy centre.

You have to agree by now that people should be blamed and held accountable when they err.

Wether both are true or untrue what did the authorities do about it? All these blame trading , you know the true vandals of lagos. If you live around Agege, it was the area boys that were vandalizing properties. They were the ones that burnt the police station. It wasn't any ipob or igbos . I haven't sited lots of examples where these guys perpetuated their acts on these days. Go there and ask for yourself.
That brought me to saying we will not say the truth to ourselves but use blames to hide the truth

Are you holding people accountable or witch hiunting ?

lmao

So who do you think are they blaming? Average Joe on the street? and not those who encourage the protest and failed to say anything when the looting started?

You think when they throw blame, they be like oh it's Omar across the street responsible for the BLM that looted the entire neighborhood and not the leaders of BLM and celebrities that encouraged it?

Lmao once again.

BLM became violent when they killed George Floyd, what's your point?
.

At the attached. You could see how it's being said . Yes, looting occurred and all but did you see them blaming the movement itself?

I had said earlier. Protest could either go two ways: peaceful or violently. BLM largely started with George Floyd and became a looting spree along the line. The instigators of this Movement were not accused for the spree. They knew it was a Movement hijacked

There was a leaked recording of incitement by POB to wreak havoc in Lagos and Rivers states. You didn't get that?

Trading blames is counter-productive when accountability is not in place. If that is your point, then you're right.
Accountability is the most important thing.

Leaked recording? There was also a leaked recording of boko haram infiltrating lagos. .

If blames would fix a country. Nigeria would be the best country in the world
Celebrities / Re: Why Report On Mohbad’s Death Probe Isn't Out Yet – Police PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin by FILEBE(m): 7:47am On Dec 29, 2023
Myer:

We should not be quick to trade blames. But it's important to know who is responsible for good or bad occurrences/happenings for accountability purpose especially.

As you've rightly said, ENDSARS protest started well and was an honorable protest that was a necessity. And it was peaceful for the first few days. It actually achieved it's purpose of calling out the government for bad governance and putting an end to the excesses of SARS. Buhari and his cabinet actually responded, addressed and met the demands of the protest.
ENDSARS was decommissioned and they promised to meet the other demands which some were short term and others were long term.

But the youths did not disperse but continued in the protest until it was hijacked by the IPOB mercenaries who saw an opportunity to execute their own agenda of destroying Nigeria and especially Lagos state.

The consequences of which as Mynd44 rightly pointed out, was the burnt down Lagos State autopsy centre which has delayed Mohbad's investigation and apparently countless others.

Every action and inaction has consequences. And the heroes and villains must be Praised and blamed respectively.

For all the cases you highlighted, should they not be blaned?
Should past government administratiins not be blamed for handing over a dilapidated country?
If Tinubu's administration performs well, should he not be Praised? And if he performs poorly agter his tenure, should he not be blamed?

What we should demand is that beyond the blame and praises, is their accountability?
Are people being recognised and rewarded for good performance?
And are people being punished/sanctioned for badpoor performance?
And is their reward or punishment commensurate with their performance?

You are right but i will disagree with the bolded statements.
Except we want to deceive ourselves. The vandalism was largely carried out by "yoruba" ask the people around oyingbo who burnt the brt busses . Same with Agege police station, same with the magistrate court, igbosere . Around my area I have seen these boys vandalise during the lockdown . During the time of the protest I had seen them hitting a streetlight at Ojuelegba while i drove by, they were yoruba.
Also the name calling is unnecessary, throwing shades at a particular tribe isn't okay . It has some tribalistic undertone .

@ the second bolded . We have burnt trading blames since independence.
Where has it gotten us? Of what use is the blame trading? If you have a lady that blames everyone for her misfortune, will you go ahead to marry her?

You think the communities looted for not reason by these BLM protesters are not suffering today?

We don't see them blaming Eminem or Beyonce for the movement. Every protest could either go two ways, peaceful or violent.

The endsars protest didn't become violent till the lekki toll gate thing

Should people only be praised when they do right but not be blamed when they err?

We should know when to trade blames . By default, Nigerians will be quick to blame rather than find the root cause . Look around you, check all the mess we are in as a country and see how we always blame it on something or someone.

Present government blames Buhari.
Epileptic power supply throws blames
Military will throws blames
Rising cost of inflation throws blame
Health sector throws blame on japa doctors.
We are even throwing blames on tribes lately .
And so many more. It's always a blame game. We are so always quick to blame just to spite one another .

If the motive of the protest was to destroy properties, it would started immediately the protest began. It took days before it took that violent turn and it wasn't after the Lekki toll gate incident.

Lets start with this.

The most equipped forensic lab in west Africa was built by Lagos state government. During the chaos of the I'll advised EndSARS riots/protests with this same Omolola Pero took part in, that lab was burnt.

What this has caused is that the autopsy has to ne done abroad with money the government have to source for and it will take time.

It is time we understand that our actions have consequencies

Very unfortunate about the forensic lab. I just couldn't understand the reason behind burning it . I question the effect of burning tires not to talk of infrastructures. It never made sense to me to vandalize all these in the name of protest

I guess they were just burning anything related to lagos as the protest was hijacked by illiterate touts .

If you will remember the "George Floyd " movement, the BLM movement . Almost every blacks and celebs participated in the protest. Some people decided to take advantage of the situation to break into shops and steal things.

We just like to trade blames in this parts of the world. The bolded part was unnecessary.
