I like your take however rural electrication is complicated. I served in a village that didn't have light for more than 3 years. When I asked around, I was told most villagers owed millions of naira. They could not pay as little as 2k naira per month as at 8 years ago. Unless government can invest in cheaper alternatives, most of these villagers can't afford stable electricity. Even those in Lagos and Abuja on band A are lamenting.. What's the way forward

We could learn from developed countries. They also have their own people who live in the country side and can't afford electricity too. Although thier own country side is quite different from ours.

I will suggest they make available the light first then whoever can afford it will.

I dey laugh in Russian language, and we no dey see the effect in our homes?who are these people fooling?

Except we want to lie to ourselves. The power supply has improved. The Band classifications are getting what they paid for. I am not really into this band classification as all Nigerians should be considered as the same. I also understand that we are not generating enough to go round at once hence the bands.
If past and present government are really serious with this power thing, we will have achieved 24hrs daily power long time ago.
Wasn't it Fashola that said a serious government will fix power in 6 months or so? Look where we are.

Also rural electrification should be taken seriously. You will enter these areas to canvas for votes but won't be able to provide basics for them afterwards.

It will get there gradually I believe.

The government still has a lot of work to do honestly. We are in the 21st century and having good roads and its network is still a thing. In as much as it's visible lagos is trying in some areas , we still demand for more. Lagos can do far better.

Small thing go happen and we are already referring to a the tribe . I don't get it. No tribe is better than another tribe . None! We are humans and that's what we are .

Cut your coat according to your size has nothing to do with someone who can rent that kind of hall for wedding.

Exactly. It's either some nairalanders are just being playful or they obviously don't know that that wedding is an expensive wedding .

The agbado and pear is a meal by thr side. Not the main meal. Rice and other foods were also served afterwards

If you care to know, that pear and corn is more expensive than rice and met.

Some people will just always want to use every opportunity to insult Tinubu's presidency. Even childish one like this . It's quite immature. If I am to play opposition, let me play it with wit and respect .

This isn't about leadership. Nothing concern leaders here. We, Nigerians need to change.

Apparently, we are the ones that later becomes a leader

Illusioneffect:

Wow😂🤦🏽‍♂️ you've a lot to catch up on fall guy Ke?

Movies I watched this week:

1. Inside Out 2: this could definitely be in contention for my 5th best animated movie of all time. Very energetic and one of the best movies you could watch with a child of any age. Not as tearjerking as the first but fun all together. A classic Pixar movie - I hope they leave the woke bull shit and make a general movie - for every family
8.5/10

2. Despicable Me 4: the best despicable movie ever imo- no context - no plot - just moving pictures with a lot of colours
7.5/10

3. Trap: first half of this movie is excellent : the rest is meh - the dialogue is just so bland and NPCish like every Shyamalan movie.
6/10

4. Deadpool and Wolverine: shut off your brain and just enjoy this movie and you wont be disappointed. Fantastic action sequences- the cameos are cameoing😂😂😂😂 but in some scenes have a lot of heart.
SPOILER: there's a scene that's so amazing and teardropping where Wolverine rants and says Deadpool is dumb and I loved that scene.
I'm definitely rewatching
9/10

Other movies I watched
Kill: 7/10
The BikeRiders: 7/10
The Sixth Sense: 10/10

I will like to know your top 5 of all time

We have big problems in this country. This is one.
So, because some foreign company projects our economy to grow in the future we shouldn't cut cost of governance or identify that their is hunger in the land? All these are happening to the masses while the politicians are smiling.

Maintenance! Maintenance!! Maintenance!!!!

We lack Maintenance in this country. Beautiful projects here and there but over time, it becomes badly maintained.

Check out most government infrastructures like Stadiums, roads , schools, bus stops and train stops. That Oshodi bus terminal saddens my heart whenever I see it, it's badly maintained

Elxandre:

If we want a better Nigeria, the 15trn should be used towards 24/7 power supply.
It's ridiculous to earmark such amount for road in a poor country like this.

If I may ask, how much has been pumped into power supply since Civilian rule? They have been pumping this money into supply and nothing to show for it.
I am not justifying the usage of this 15trillion o but as it is in this Nigeria, I will say they should use it rather than allow snakes and humans to eat it
Politics / Re: Tinubu Flags Off Lagos-calabar N15trn Highway Project Says ‘it’s My Bragging Day by FILEBE(m): 7:29pm On May 26
I belive it not everything we oppose. We want the good for Nigerians right? So? If a project is done to make Nigeria better we should encourage it. That I dislike someone doesn't mean I should always be against all good things he does.

Opposition should keep the others on their feet. Make them fear that you will be there to fish out their evil and corrupt ways. Constructive criticism and all.

Unfortunately, someone of us have made this a tribal thing . We don't see good in whatever Opposition does . We will always bad mouth the good and bad. This isn't what Opposition should be all about .

If truly a greater Nigeria is all we seek, then we shouldn't make Opposition a sentiment and tribal thing .

The thing with cars is if you manage, maintain and spend good money on good parts on your car it will serve you well and for as long as you need or want it. Alot of Naijarians ask me why i am still driving these cars they are expensive to run or they are outdated, they advice buy Nissan, buy toyota, buy that car buy this car, they are better, I say to them it is my choice to keep these cars.

In Naigeria some car owners do not mantain their cars properly (I understand times are hard and goods, parts, and other commodities are expensive) they wait until one minor fault develops into a major fault, for example every car needs a full tank to perfom properly but alota Naigerian car owners ussually drives on half tanks or almost on an empty tank, this can cause a car to develop faults.

Every car is good as long as it is mantained and managed properly, right now i am driving a classic Land Rover grin

No, i stopped importing cars to Naigeria since 2016, when i lost 2 of my cars a Volvo and a Jaguar to the corrupt Naigerian customs, they seized the cars for some unreasonable reasons, they did bill me about 1 million plus (bribe) to bail out the cars at the time but i refused as the cars are genuine with correct import and bill of sale documents. when i went back months later to see if i can retrieve the cars, they were gone! it being taken away, stolen? I don't know! I called everyone i know and knew about to help me recover the cars, but none could help, some guy even threatned me, accussed me of claiming my cars where seized. So i let the cars go to save myself.

First paragraph and second paragraph is 100% correct. True. Car owners should see this and take note .

Last paragraph. I just couldn't stop "wowing". Indeed, humans are wicked. I just always like purchasing things myself as I have this confidence in myself to buy right , hence, why I shipped through car in myself . That was my first car shipment . It has been a while and I seem to have forgotten the process . I just know that custom and clearance issue is always the problem down here

Well.. the Murano i still have, I had problems with the gear when i imported it, the gears was really a big problem so i dumped it for a Benz 320, the benz runs very well just that because.it is a 3.2 litre engine it costs so much on petrol, the parts can be a bit expensive too.

After i was i adviced by one mechanic to convert the Murano gear, at first i thought what? Convertion? How? Why? He told me that the car is just useless without a good gear, he even offered me 800k for it, i tried to see if i could buy a new gear but it was 750k in the end it cost me £450k to convert the gear, now it runs fantastic apart from it's petrol consumptions, it costs much on fueling, as it is a V6 engine as i was told.

The Honda Element is brilliant, never gives me any problems, very reliable and doesn't cost much fuelling it is a 2 litre engine, I imported from Houston sold to me by a 17 years old owner who bought another car.

The Benz i bought from the UK it was a right handed wheeel which i converted to a lefty in Naijaria. The other 2 i bought from the US

Thanks for the insight.
This goes a long way to say that all cars cannot be the same for everyone. If you would ask some people here, they will discourage you from buying all the cars you mentioned. Yet, these are the cars you are using and are doing fine for you.

Do you still import cars? I imported my car myself too . Hoping to import another but this customs clearance feee is discouraging

People have given you replies here. i can tell you for a fact that it is the charcoals found in your Vapor CANISTER aka charcoal cannister . This canister is attached to the fuel line. it absoves the odur and gases from your petrol. How it got into your fuel tank is what i can't understand. the picture below is where the charcoal is in .

people who always have their tank overflowing when refilling at the fuel station should check this cannister

After driving a Murano SUV, SUV Benz 320, LeXus RX 300 and Honda Element, i will never drive any vehicle that isn't an SUV or "Jeep" as you Naijarians call them

Would love your insights on these cars you have used. Pros and cons etc.
