I bought an S24 Ultra at Banex, Abuja. While the salesgirl was unboxing it, I recorded the entire process. I collected the receipt, the phone, and headed home.

Once I got home, I dialed *#06# to check the phone's IMEI and compare it with the one on the carton. As you probably guessed... they didn't match.

I also checked the phone's first call date, and it showed 2023. For a phone that was sold to me as brand new? That was the final confirmation.

I called the seller, and he tried to convince me it was a factory mistake. I politely shut him up & returned the phone the next day.

He apologized and promised to refund my money within a day. He did send the refund but it was 90k short.

I was not un a rush coz I had already ordered another S24 Ultra from a reputable seller in Lagos the same day I returned the repackaged used phone, since Samsung's official retailers no longer had old stock.

As for the outstanding 90k, I eventually recovered it six months later. I wasn't willing to keep going back and forth. The day I finally went to Banex, I reported the matter to the plaza's management. They assigned two police officers to accompany me, and the seller immediately transferred the remaining balance.

Since I had already written the 90k off as bad debt, I used half of it for a giveaway.

There was this Briton i was talking with some months ago. You know as dem dey naw, phat abi obese. Any body wey think 'bout protesting against profit making company like Dangote na witch or wizard wey carry better jealousy. Our energy should be directed at the government especially the MDAs incharge with oil & gas Dangote.

Why would Dangote buy cargoes of crude oil from the United Arab Emirates, when Nigeria produces and sell crude oil to countries outside Nigeria? That should tell you the corrupt system in the oil sector in Nigeria.

The government is still given new license for fuel importation. Why can't you protest that the fuel importers should import and sell the fuel at I reduced price? Or the government should fix the the refineries, produce and sell fuel at a reduced rate since they control the crude oil?
