HacheNoire: Sincerely, the movie director and producer deserve an Oscar award.
It’s looked very real! I wonder how stupid they think the electorates are... almost the same script before the election when his ratings were low and he needed to pull something dramatic.. unfortunately, two lives were sacrificed at that time.. this time, people appear to be wiser. I don't think this movie will save him this time though. |

Health › Re: Benue Man Dies After A Snake Bite, Youths Find And Kill The Snake by Fineyemo: 5:55pm On Feb 23 |
nairalanda1: Oh dear, where to start
1. Antivenom exists in Nigeria
2. The problem is,the research group that makes it can only make some thousands of vials. Not enough for a country our size
3. Two big pharma companies used to make snake venom for Africa, but they stopped over ten years ago..no money in it.
4. We are even lucky. Apart from Nigeria and south Africa , no other African country has indigenous antivenom manufacture. That means across Africa there is a scarcity of antivenom Important to know also the absence of the necessary Cold storage logistics for these vials... the shots must be kept at certain temperature range which require refrigerating from manufacturer to the point of use even if it takes one year, temperature must be within range.. Very few institutions can do this in Africa and most definitely not any in a rural area without power |
Politics › Re: Fracas Broke Out At ADC Town Hall Meeting Over Their Loss At The FCT Election by Fineyemo: 1:08pm On Feb 23 |
EponObi: This will be long. Please don't mind.
This FCT council election revealed NINE things:
1. The opposition, esp Obi's camp, didn't learn anything in the 2023 election. They didn't evolve. They followed and used the same 2023 pattern. They were predictable. Most notable is focusing on urban centers and neglecting the rural centers - you would think the election was only happening in AMAC. The election result showed this. Another is not having adequate number of agents to cover polling units - bro, this is 2026 fgs; this issue of agents shouldn't have happened in 2023, talk more of today. Another is still relying heavily on social media hype - it's like they are addicted to it.
2. The opposition don't know how to prepare for an election still. Like I said above, they didn't learn anything in 2023.
3. The opposition is too lazy for their ambition. Their quality of invested effort and ambition are not aligning. This is a council election fgs in a small city of Abuja. You all have residences in the FCT; you spend a lot time living there; that's your base. How hard can it be organizing properly and going all in to show your force? Kai! How tf is planning, logistics, campaign, public awareness too hard for you in your base - your backyard?
4. Obi is spent force. Forget the media hype. Obi won over 62% of votes in Abuja in 2023. He won over 90% in Anambra. All the elections he backed in these places and others since after the 2023 election has been a shocking disaster. Since 2023, this council election is the one he put the most effort and he even begged people to vote for his candidate because "it will help me" - literally in his own words. There's no excuse for this defeat. And his followers are beginning to see this reality, judging by the meltdown they are experiencing on many X Spaces today.
5. Obi currently doesn't have any appeal except among his Igbo brothers.
6. Obi performance outside of the SE in 2023 was driven majorly by religious rhetoric and the fear of the APC Muslim-Muslim ticket. That effect is gone. It's only Obidents that have refused to see this.
7. Obi and his supporters should leave the easy way to 2027, which is social media noise and Obi's childish theatrics and focus on the heavy, tedious, and boring path which is grassroots mobilization.
This is what Obi should have implemented with LP the past 3 years - restructure state and ward chapters. Get personally involved and enter the rural zones to kickstart grassroots mobilization. Reenergize urban voters. What did he do instead? He wasted time on Twitter and was delivering lectures all over the world. Eventually, he abandoned LP, with the little structure and grassroots support they have to start afresh in a new party with ONLY one year left to election and he wants to contest the presidential election. It's really funny. It's even more funny he believes his entire 2023 voters base are still with him and are following him no matter the party he joins. Person wey use 20 years prepare for presidential election na mumu abi? Obi and obidents behave and think as if the presidential election is SUG election, because if they treat it like a council election at least, they would have performed better today. They first claimed they don't need any structure in 2023 until they joined the structure of criminality in 2026. Maybe by 2030, they will accept that grassroots mobilization is the way.
8. Ireti kingibe is gone.
9. Wike deserves his flowers, even though I hate his excesses. You are dreaming if you think Tinubu will dump him - he's too much of an asset. In the South, he's the second most powerful politician besides Tinubu. Arguably the second most powerful in Nigeria too. Your analysis is spot on. This is the type of engagement we used to have on this platform until ignorance and immaturity took over the space.. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Stumbles, Falls In Turkey by Fineyemo: 6:20pm On Jan 27 |
Your comment is nothing but a reflection of who you are as a person... Using strong abusive words on the leader of your country is not just offensive but very unpatriotic and this does not show a bright mind but a reprobate.. Now, how will you feel if the leader and head of your family is spoken to or described by one of the members of that same family in same way.. It is prudent to think before such recklessness in future.. it's not cool SeeWahala: Useless man anytime the national grid collapses that is the same time tilumbu will remember to start rolling on the ground and disgracing us as Nigerians in front of the entire globe

No oh, we are just disappointed that he didn't hit his head on the ground very well when he fell so he can at least have a brain reboot and return to reverse some of his devilish economic policies impoverishing both you and your people
It's not the first time he has fallen after all . . . Definitely won't be the last too 😏 |

SmartPolician: The judges of the Supreme Court are making history. They are making Nigerian presidents more powerful than they already are. The Supreme Court and the entire judiciary do not make laws, history or whatsoever you're implying here, their function is only to interpret the constitution by removing all ambiguities to the original intent of the drafters of the constitution.. Laws are made by the Legislative arm of government and the executive only execute the laws as interpreted by the judiciary. Please educate yourself before exposing gross ignorance. |

Thank you sir... that was exactly my thought. This person is clearly sampling opinions for a feedback. His campaign, support and praise for the present price regime is most unreasonable.. Don't mind the man jare... it's very disappointing reading the ignorant comments of young people on this platform mostly seeing everything from tribal and political lenses... is it too hard to see that this narrative , first pushed by dangote was solely for his benefit and not genuinely for the love of Nigeria?. Why are people so averse to clear solutions to our problems. This is a fully deregulated market for God's sake!! Allow everyone source product from anywhere as long as standard is ensured. Forces of demand and supply will determine price on the long run... Alhaji wants Government to stop importers from bringing fuel so that he will monopolise the market and fix price of products... No way. What is the concern of the channels tv analyst with the value of petrol imported?, did they source the forex from government?.. This is how these people are unwittingly pushing someone's dishonest plans for the country. Saturnalia: And so? Let the Blended Petrol from Malta continue to saturate the Nigerian Markets SINCE ALIKO DANGOTE NO WAN GET SENSE.
THE OLORIBURUKU PARASITIC ANIMAL WANTS TO HOLD NIGERIANS TO RANSOM BECAUSE OF HIS SUB-STANDARD REFINERY.
IF DANGOTE CANNOT CRASH PMS PRICE TO 400Naira Per Litre; THEN WE WILL CONTINUE TO PATRONIZE THE BLENDED PETROL FROM MALTA.
AFTERALL, WE’VE BEEN USING IT FOR DECADES.

This comment has depth... it's indicative of the maturity of the commentator regardless of the bias of the OP. Righthussle: You didn't learn any lesson about betrayal.
What I learned from this crisis :
1. The fact that someone answers "sir" and "yes sir" to everything you say when you are above him doesn't mean he's loyal to you or he's your friend.
2. No matter how powerful, influential, skillful you are in what you do, you are not above mistake. Wike's choice of Fubara is an indication that he's not above mistake.
3. Don't underestimate the power of due diligence. If Wike had taken his time to ask questions about Fubara from his village people, colleagues and neighbours he would have known better.
4. A smiling face doesn't always reveal a good heart. Don't judge someone's character by their exterior; look for substance within."
5. Nurture and appreciate the rare gems in your life who walk their talk. Those individuals who reliably follow through on their commitments, no matter how big or small, are true treasures. Hold them close and cherish their integrity, dependability, and unwavering reliability.
Final lesson.
Anything wey you like do for person wey get okporlo eyes, u dey waste your time. e no go enter him eye. |
