Until all governors in Nigeria are made to account for the bogus 'Security Votes' and other hyper inflated projects spread across their respective states, the future is dark for meaningful developmental growth in this country. ![]() |
The world is sick... RIP young lady. ![]() |
Under the divide and rule policy of this current administration, most especially Buhary's ethnic bigotry, Nigeria heading to full blown ethnic war. Can Buhary presides over a United Nigeria? Time will tell. |
finalboss1:Good, the governor has given order already. "He has also directed the men of the Abia State Vigilante Services (AVS) to commence, with immediate effect, a two week intensive training, for onward deployment to our communities to assist in community policing" Every man should be well armed to protect his or her life. Buhary fulfilling his mission to set Nigeria on fire through his inaction. Prophesy being fulfilled. |

Minimum Wage to all political office holders in Nigeria.
|
‘No elected public officer should earn 10 times more than minimum wage’ By Bartholomew Madukwe Human rights activist, Comrade Femi Aborisade, has said that no elected public officer should earn more than 10 times the minimum wage. At a pre-May Day symposium, titled, “Inclusive Socio-Economic Space for Sustainable Development”, Aborisade said: “Governments that are unable to pay wages as and when due can hardly spare a thought for the future. All public sector salaries (particularly those of the executive and legislative arms of government) be published on local notice boards and on the internet.” Aborisade said that for sustainable development, there should be daily publication of earnings from sale of crude oil in the international market. “The concept of sustainable development is therefore concerned with how to manage societal resources today in order to guarantee the welfare of ordinary people at the present in such a way that does not disturb the welfare of future generations,” he added. He lamented that there is no pension scheme or minimum income guarantee scheme for citizens who were not employed in the public service. Calling on the labour movment not to allow any government get away with denial of democratic rights, he noted that NLC has a duty to resist violent repression of democratic rights, regardless of who may be the victim. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/no-elected-public-officer-earn-10-times-minimum-wage/

By Vincent Ujumadu, Anayo Okoli, Peter Okutu, Francis Igata & Chimaobi Nwaiwu ENUGU— INDICATIONS emerged, weekend, that Fulani herdsmen have regrouped in bushes on Iga community’s corridor, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, to launch another attack, even as the apex socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, met yesterday in Enugu with a call on the Federal Government to boot out of office, all security heads in Enugu State over lapses that culminated in the slaughter of 46 Ukpabi, Nimbo natives last Monday by Fulani herdsmen. communique made available to Vanguard at the end of the meeting of Imeobi (highest decision organ) of the group, read in part: ”Imeobi expresses disappointment at the obvious security lapses which allowed these heinous acts to be committed in Nimbo community. “Imeobi, therefore, calls on Enugu State Government and the Federal Government to ensure that a thorough investigation is carried out with a view to ensuring that all those responsible for the lapses are made to account and be punished for their action “Imeobi mandates Ohanaeze leadership to take all necessary actions to ensure that such incident never again occurs in any other part of the South-East geopolitical zone. “Imeobi endorses the position of Ohanaeze on rejection of the proposed Grazing Bill. Cattle grazing is private business and, therefore, should not be done in a manner that individual’s or community’s rights are infringed upon. “Imeobi views with grave concern and unequivocally, condemns the recent slaughter by Fulani herdsmen of our defenceless kith and kin in Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.” Herdsmen regroup for another attack A dependable source told Vanguard, weekend, that the herdsmen had regrouped in bushes on Iga community’s corridor to launch another attack on the community. The source revealed that the herdsmen were emboldened from the high casualty rate recorded in last week’s attack that caught security operatives napping. Further investigation by Vanguard showed that a possible clash may be in the offing at Adani community, still in the same Uzo-Uwani council area, between the natives and a densely-populated Hausa community resident in the area. The northerners, Vanguard gathered, bought parcels of land and built residential houses on them which has, over time, turned a Hausa community settlement at Adani. But following last Monday’s attack on Nimbo community, the Adani natives are said to be living in perpetual fear. The natives, it was learned, are united on driving away the Hausa community from their area, a situation that is generating tension. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/another-fulani-attack-looms-ohanaeze-blasts-security-agencies/

Very good. “There is no such proposal or bill on the creation of grazing reserves either in the Senate or House of Representatives. Nobody is considering it; not even at the executive level. I do not think they are considering it but we will not support it even if it has been considered,” Chief Obafemi Awolowo said: ‘Tap and pipe water from the Atlantic Ocean to irrigate the whole of Northern Nigeria like other deserts of the world and you will feed the entire world from here’. There should be no driving of herds all over the nation as the excuse to mass murder Nigerians in the South. / “Sambisia forest which is approximately 60,000 Km2 and has more than 6million hectares of land can be used as a national ranch where all breeders from different parts of the country can breed their cattle. This will help to develop the area and derive Boko Haram their haven. Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/can-opposes-grazing-reserve-bill/ |
