onlyme12: Former President Jonathan on Saturday September 6th made his first public outing since leaving office in May 2015. He attended a PDP event in Bayelsa state where he openly endorsed the 2nd term bid of the incumbent governor Dickson Seriaki and called on Bayelsans to come out en mass on December 5th to re-elect the governor during the state governorship election.

ibedun: Mumu!!! The stock values are artificial and largely based on sentiments Yes! ordinary sentiments especially in a country that produces nothing and imports just about everything. If you are intelligently tracking the Nigerian stock market indices you will find that there are no fundamental lines to support the price movement. Stock values (in the absense of company specific good or bad news) is a mostly a factor of real growth in GDP. During the clueless reign (NOI world bank clerk in tow) the Nigerian largest economy (aggregate demand) was almost entirely based on GNP growth largely driven by reckless levels of importation. That was why the Naira recorded very little exchange rate advantage during an unprecedented historic oil boom.
Baba Buhari please ignore the noisemakers o. And Reuters / the economist are western propaganda organisations who main aim is to continue spreading false information to keep western countries richer at the expense of the not-so-well-off countries. Ope, amukunmeko |

smuth: As usual we should expect another press release from APC telling us it is Jonathan's fault and we should not worry Buhari's body language will fix the economy...Before the election Jonathan told us all that Buhari cannot remember his phone number, we all laughed that it is just not possible but alas Buhari confirmed what a dullard he is by telling the whole of Nigeria he doesn't know where one of his land is situated, come 2019 he will shock the world by telling us he was never the President of a country called Nigeria. I pity his daft followers.

American resumption of buying oil from Nigeria again could be a smokescreen. |

PDPwayoo: na for book. it does not have impact on ordinary lives in africa. Remember when global stock market crashed, the real impact could not be ascertained in Africa/Nigeria.
Everything about Nigeria is for book not reality. Nigeria as the biggest economy in Africa has no direct impact on ordinary citizen. Wait a minute, even if na for book. Are you saying all the investors in our capital market are non-Nigerians and even ghost ? We do have small in-house investors that their investment value is noise diving, this do have economic impact on our economy. |

CBN appears to be having its own peculiar challenges with the policy situation in the country.
The apex bank has indicated that fiscal policy gaps resulting from absence of functional government economic policies and other factors outside its control have constrained the ability of its policies to rein in on price stability in the economy.
In its post Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) report CBN expressed worry at the developments in the inflationary pressure since this year amidst its monetary policies aimed at curtailing excess liquidity, one of the main drivers of inflationary pressures. |

Interesting... What has CHANGED ? The last explanation from American government for not buying oil from Nigeria anymore is described below. - Does it mean that America oil production has dropped to make it now intending to buy crude oil from Nigeria ? - Could it be a wicked policy to punish the unyielding president at the time ? - Do we now have a president who is ready to do the bidding of the modern slave master ? Fellow Nigerians, Please what has really changed ? abi dis too naa the body odour or na body language una dey call am ?? According to the White House Economic Council Director, “across the last several years, US oil production has ramped up significantly by more than 50 percent to now over eight and a half million barrels per day.”
He explained that such a high turn up in local US oil production “has now dramatically reduced our dependency on imports,” Zients noted, adding that “in fact, we now produce more here than we import.” https://www.nairaland.com/2063726/why-stopped-buying-nigerias-oil
