OkpaNsukkaisBae: All the players we signed talked about the Xavi factor.
e b like say we dey give Alemany 2much credit...he's doing a good work but the Xavi pull is a massive one. Everyone had their fair share. You should know Alemany would focus more on the sale from the opposing team and negotiate. Jordi Cyruff on the finances and medical. Xavi, convince the player. Laporta own na to sign off. |

| Xavi: “We are happy that Kounde is coming, he is good with the ball, fast and aggressive. He will help us in the fast game.”
"Registering the new players? We need to find solutions for some player departures, yes the process is slow, but we are still only close to August."
"Messi has a contract now, we have to focus on our season now. I wish that Messi’s time in Barcelona is not over yet. I think he deserves a second chance. If the question is do I want him back? Definitely yes."
"Kounde is an excellent signing and I am grateful, I have spoken with him a few times, he knows what I want from him and I think he is a great signing for the team and he will make the difference. He will also try to compete for trophies."
"Will Kounde’s arrival make Pique play less? Everyone starts from scratch and will compete for the spot, I’ve said it many times."
"I tell the players that we are not playing a friendly game, these are opportunities for them."
"I’m not afraid of anything and our goal this season is to win trophies."
"Yes, I think I have an advantage since I was a former player because I understand the players."
"All the players have all my confidence, we always try to take the pressure off them."
"3-4-3? Yes, we played in this formation a few games last season, although it is dangerous because we left spaces behind, but maybe we will rely on it. Currently, we are planning 4-3-3." |

OhBritannia: Manchester city are too filled with talents that Guardiola sold Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal and he is actually balling there at Arsenal. You have to give kudos to Guardiola, he knows how to make a player better. I have said it countless times without numbers... Any player that plays under Pep and doesn't improve isn't destined to be a foltballer. Man understands the game and has the capacity to turn average to excellently good. ️| Marcos Alonso’s arrival is getting difficult due to Chelsea’s asking price. Barca have already started to look for alternatives such as Galan, Reguilon and Mojica.
[Roger Torello] Make them siddon on top of this Alonso matter. This guy will still probably be a second option for Alba. Make we get someone younger, and faster. |

Kilishihunter: Yeah porro has a buyback fee of I think 40 or 50m, That man is destined for the top if he continues his solid displays especially in the UCL Omo bro nothing wey you fit tell me about Dest again, that dude is not up to standard with our football, Even if Dani drifts to the middle he has always had that instinct of running back to close the space of the opponent's left winger, our Dest is either not aware of his surroundings or commits silly mistakes at the rear, it's little details like this which when ignored can cost your team a title, He's still very good offensively though, he'll do well as a RWB but still not great as a RB That one if Xavi eventually play the 3-4-3 formation way them day talk nahim Dest go fit play RWB. If not, make team's bring money come buy am. |

BlaqFaze: Ferran was actually injured when Barca signed him in January if not he would have played more games...Ferran last season was his best in his career, starting games for both City and Spain and scoring goals, at one point he was in everyone's FPL team. You're rating Sterling too much, even Mahrez struggles for game time In fact, Pep objected to the move for a while and that was when Xavi started shifting interest to Dani Olmo. It took a little more push from Alemany to convince Pep to let him go plus the guy thought he stood a better chance to play at the NT thinking that Enrique would prioritize him more. |

Culer: oga there's no way ferran started over a fit Mahrez at city. I watched city games too and I hardly ever saw him start. I honestly doubt that you watched City when Ferran was a player. I've told you what to do to confirm. Mahrez and Sterlin aren't injury players so they must have had a short span. But this is me telling you right now that they were both fit but couldn't rub Ferran off the staring eleven that he played mostly as a right winger or CF. And I've got stats to back it up. We need to really educate the fact that Ferran wasn't a poor player at city as many of you think. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by FirstbornWds: 4:33pm On Jul 29, 2022 |
Culer: ferran started those amount of games cuz city's attack was plagued with an injury crisis then. No way ferran starts over a fit sterling and Mahrez. Guy rest. He started over those two a couple of times and they were fit. This is coming from someone that watched them play and nothing else. To further confirm, go and check the injury stats of both players you mentioned and see things for yourself. |

Also, Sergiño Dest has not changed his mind: he wants to stay at Barça. Did we even consider getting another goalie? Make Pena bulk up and improve with passes abeg.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by FirstbornWds: 4:23pm On Jul 29, 2022 |
BlaqFaze: The reason why I'm surprised Chelsea fans are celebrating his signing...last summer he almost joined Barca(when Barca were without cash) on loan because of lack of playing then Pep convinced him to stay by giving him more playing time Sterling right? Well, they need more flair on the wings. Those nonsense they parade can't get them anything productive. So I can understand their happiness. The guy is a major upgrade for all their wingers. |

Technical ability and brains would always be valued over brute/physical strength in Barca and frenkie has the edge over kessie. Alright then. I rest my case on that. Make season start first. I'll be here to remind you. |

I honestly take this as an insult but no wam. I almost see every of their matches and even more self... Let's not even talk about it anyway. Yes, Torres was an UNDISPUTABLE starter at City. Kilishihunter: It looks like azpi will come or we'll use one of our CBs more there cause I can't bear this season with Dest, Just look at his poor positioning to allow cuadradro to cross easily for Kean's first goal, He's mostly drifting to the middle, How I wish we could have used Trincao for Pedro Porro, I too like that lad I day tell you oo. I no no why city let that boy go like that. Be like e get buy-back clause sha. And yes, Dest drifting is something I think he learned from Alves and he seems to have improved with his passing and cutting through lines. But he should learn to defend well. I'm still rooting for him anyway |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by FirstbornWds: 4:03pm On Jul 29, 2022 |
Culer: like I said, you're overrating kessie, just because he's had a decent pre-season. Even Arthur melo became prime xavi during pre season. Kessie wouldn't be a starter for us. He's not that good. He is coming from a league where the game is played at a very slow pace, that you don't have to possesss the slightest of intelligence to succeed there. Why do you think most players who flop in laliga and epl go to the serie A and flourish? Lukaku, Abraham, brahin Diaz, bakayoko, heck even old man dzeko is balling at the age of 36 in Serie A. Kessi will find it difficult in the more fast paced laliga where there's little time to think about your next move with the ball. He's just coming to add steel/a different dimension to our midfield; from the bench of course. I'll take the bolded as nonsense. Kessie has been putting in a lot of work for us and he sure looks like the real deal of strength that we've been lacking. Although it's not right to conclude yet, but I see him as starter. And you are entirely wrong about Serie A. I mean, I haven't seen a more wrong thing than your opinion about Serie A. Lukaku and Abraham are playing well because they had/have a coach that played to their strength. Lukaku's first touch improved massively under Conte. Abraham's hold up play is still poor but he's been good on counters that Mou relies on. The rest of those names, I can't make a solid case for but I can tell you that you are not entirely right about them. Then how the heck did Dzeko fit into your logic. Man has always been a baller. Or did you suddenly forget that he was a point at City's early years? Salah played for Roma and Fiorentina and is currently bossing the EPL. You should as well have called him a flop. |

Kilishihunter: Bro left to me I don't think he'll come and I see this case as very complicated especially with fdj in the mix but when we also see how the current window has been shaping and the impossible becoming possible now it has to surely make one optimistic If e come, fine... If not.. Na them sabi. Make them her us right back abeg.. This thing way I watch against Juve still day pain me. |

Culer: lmao. There's 2 options on the table for FDJ to either reduce his wage or leave. So how's Bernardo Closer to Barcelona when we've not even settled the frenkie conundrum? Or am I missing something
Call me pessimistic but Romero's definitely clowning If really Romero said that, then the probability of him coming is pretty high. Fernando is important to city, the same way Lewy was to Bayern... But we saw how the move went despite claims from Bayern, a renowned prison for top players (PSG, now holds that rank anyway) that he wouldn't come. Pep won't hold Bernado back.. Not for any reason. The only person that I think he'll shed blood to keep is KDB and I'm sure no club would be stupid to bid for him right now. |
