As a central midfielder (not even necessarily a professional) you would have spotted those 2 teammates even before that ball came to you and all you have to do next to create an attacking move is to quickly switch play to either 1 of them...that short pass to Messi either highlights his ineptitude as a footballer(highly unlikely) or Godx previous point...

As a player, you'll create a pass only when you know the best options would lead a productive attack. Check out that match with Trincao and you'd see that even if the rest of the team choose not to pass to him again, it's worth it.

I'll accept that neglecting Dest was out of it but then, what can we do? It's not Messi "commanding" FDJ to pass to him (except if there's something I don't know) and even so, you don't expect him to allow the ball play away when it's obvious he's the one that can lead a dangerous attack as opposed the other.
